what an adorable hamster. I love them all whether Syrian, Dwarf, Robo, or Dunge. Have 7 myself, and this one looks like my Lucy, So sweet!!

Awe... I've had 15 to 11 hamsters at once. They breed like crazy.. but I would cry every time one died.. since their average lifespan is just two years.. That was so sad... I couldn't take it but they are too cute.

I've had both hamsters and rats and, even though they have very short lifespans and it each death was really difficult for me, I wouldn't trade the experience for anything! They are the sweetest little pets and give back so much love! And to give a loving home to them made it all that much more worthwhile!

I plan on adopting more soon!

After the death of my shelter dog "pupps" at age 22 - I needed a pet that wouldn't cost as much, and that I could make arrangements for travel easier. I adopted "yolanda" hamster from wee-companions animal rescue - a great choice - she is a Syrian hamster, loves to run in her plastic ball around the condo, chew her way out of her plastic ball and escape (they don't last too long" and hates the modern "safety" wheel in her cage for exercise, so I had to replace it with an old-fashioned "dangerous" wire wheel, which my hamsters I had growing up had no problems with. Syrian hamsters have the longest life spans, 3-5 years, and are so cute!
