John Staluppi's Cars of Dreams Go Up for Auction - Watch Live!

11/30/2012

John Staluppi is one of America’s well-known and beloved car enthusiasts. Who wouldn’t love the man who has spent his life around cars – and has spent the last decade collecting what many consider to be the finest American autos produced – the classics of the 1950’s and 1960’s.

Staluppi’s Cars of Dreams Museum is an homage to the post World War II era – a time when the production lines switched from making items for the battlefield to items that fulfilled the needs of an America at peace. Consumers wanted houses in the suburbs, and cars to carry them to the brand new strip malls, sock hops and family vacations that beckoned.

The Cars of Dreams Museum collection covers not only the cars of the era of the sharpest tail fins, but also Lionel Train sets, neon signs of the drive-ins, and other collectibles that will take you back in time.

John Staluppi has opened up his collection for auction and of course you want to know more. The auction is offered by RM Auctions and begins Saturday, December 1 at 10:00 a.m. and is expected to last between eight and nine hours. That’s a lot of cars and memorabilia!

You’ll be able to watch the window below; until the auction starts you may see other footage running. When the auction goes live, the feed of auction may be delayed 5-15 seconds. Refresh the page periodically in order to minimize the delay.
