Stars and Their Cars

What’s the point of being famous if you can spend a little bit of money on a vehicle that shows your status? That philosophy has probably been around since the wheel was invented and in many cases it hasn’t changed today.

Tonight on What’s My Car Worth at 8:00p E/P, Keith and Donald are looking at stars and their cars. We’ll see a striking Town & Country and a piece of Rat Pack history. We aren’t going to give away the secrets of what cars they look at or what they are worth, but it’s safe to say even if the car was expensive to begin with – it’s even more so after a star owns it.

How about that Town & Country - with horns!  

In honor of tonight’s episode we thought we’d do a little research into some modern day stars and their rides. There’s a lot of bling out there, but there are also some that will surprise you.

Let’s get the first popular model out of the way right off the bat. Ever since it was introduced onto the market, the Toyota Prius Hybrid has been a favorite of stars who are a little more laid back and environmentally concerned.  Here’s just a sample of Prius owners: Ryan Gosling, Julia Roberts, America Ferrera, Kirsten Dunst,

Now, there is a regular parade of high-end cars driven by stars. Many have more than one, and many probably change their rides pretty often so this list could just be the tip of the iceberg. Whether they are all current or not, one thing's for sure, they are attention getting:

Justin Bieber owns a Fisker Karma (among other cars), and Simon Cowell, Flo Rida and Chris Brown all drive the million dollar Bugatti Veyron.

George Clooney has an interesting choice – the two seater electric Tango 600. Perhaps it is his European ride?

 

The Maybach 57 has a few fans: Samuel L. Jackson and Madonna both drive one.

Mercedes Benz is a favorite. Kanye West has a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Moss.  While that model is pretty much top of the heap there are plenty of other high end models that are owned by the likes of Eddie Murphy, Miley Cyrus, Reese Witherspoon, Paris Hilton, Sly Stallone, Jennifer Anniston and more.

Pierce Brosnan, Missy Elliott Janet Jackson have various editions of the Aston Martin Vanquish.

David Beckham and Jessica Simpson drive Cadillac Escalades.

Ellen Degeneres has a Porsche 911, as does Britney Spears and Tom Cruise.

Kevin Costner owns an Audi Q7 and Audi S8; Sienna Miller has an Audi TT and Jason Statham drives an Audi A8.

Nicole Ritchie & Joel Madden have a Bentley Continental, as does Kim Kardashian, Heidi Klum, Jennifer Love Hewitt. Ice-T owns a Bentley convertible. Paris Hilton and David Beckham also own Bentleys – remember we did say that there were plenty of stars that had more than one ride.

 

Perhaps the most down-home entry we found was Justin Timberlake and his Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. We’re pretty sure he’s got something else tucked away in a garage somewhere, but three cheers to him for being photographed in his old classic!
