Sports Roadsters…A Walk Down Memory Lane
As usual, we’ve got two great back-to-back episodes of What’s My Car Worth tonight starting at 8:00p E/P. First we’ll find out what a couple of 1950s classics are worth and then the guys have a look at the biggest and best of Mercedes Benz.
We all love cars from the 1950s where everything was shiny, pointy and the size of a city block. There was chrome galore and cat’s eye tail-lights. These cars were the symbols of post war America – the were a mark of our industrial might and if you owned one it meant you had “made it.”
For all of those reasons we still love cars and trucks from the 1950s and if they are in good condition, you never know how much they’ll go for.
One of tonight’s cars in the 8:00p E/P show is a 1956 Studebaker. We scoured the Internet and just happened to find an original 1956 television ad for the Studebaker staring none other than Tom Bosley of Happy Days fame. It’s rumored he got his start in acting doing the Studebaker commercials so it appears we have one more thing to love about this 1950s classic.
Enjoy the show!!
