TLC's 7 Most Shocking Moments Of 2012
Another year comes to a close, and man, what a wild 12 months -- especially when it comes to all of our favorite shows on TLC. There were forklift feet and bad ass boo boos, Amish dramas and extreme cheapskates. Let's take a look back at some of the most shocking and hilarious moments from this past year, shall we?
Lana Has A God Moment
Sin City Rules' Lana Fuchs appeared at a charity event for gay and lesbians in Las Vegas. She donated $10,000 to the event, which was great. Not so great: She declared "I am God," as she presented the check.
Kay Shows Us Her Bathroom Secrets
Virtually every moment of Extreme Cheapskates was shocking -- or disgusting. But perhaps nothing was more headscratchingly bizarre than Kay, who had figured out a way to avoid buying toilet paper: She washed with her hands, instead. We can't even imagine what the rest of her home looks like.
James Leaves Next Great Baker -- Early
We were truly saddened to learn that Next Great Baker competitor James Brown had been diagnosed with a brain tumor the same week he found out he was going to appear on the show. James made the difficult decision to drop out of the competition so that he could focus on his health, leaving Cake Boss Buddy Valastro and his competitors stunned.
The Truth Comes Out -- On The Breaking Amish Reunion
Rumors about the Breaking Amish cast swirled all season, and the two-part reunion special was Abe, Jeremiah, Kate, Sabrina and Rebecca's chance to set the record straight. And boy did they ever: Jeremiah talked about his alleged domestic violence history; Sabrina discussed her past marriage; and Rebecca and Abe became visibly enraged at the mention of their alleged love child. It was a must-see moment, for sure.
The Honey Boo Boo Clan Introduce Sketti To The World
Before we met Mama June and the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo family, we would have never thought of mixing ketchup, butter and pasta together. And while we doubt it'll show up on the menues of any high-end restaurants anytime soon, Sketti did become a phenomenon this year.
Lori Allen Reveals Her Secret
Say Yes To The Dress: Atlanta's Lori Allen found out devastating news while taping: She was diagnosed with breast cancer. Lori tearfully told her staff and Monte about her fight, and taped Say Yes To The Dress: Lori's Fight to raise awareness about breast cancer.
Teresa Converts A Die-Hard Skeptic
We love watcing Long Island Medium Teresa Caputo work her magic. But it's especially rewarding to watch her transform a pyscic skeptic into a believer. Like this young man who lost a dear friend more than ten years ago. Changing lives, Tre!
