Meet The Women Of "Pageant Wives"
12/26/2012
Move over Toddlers and Tiaras, there's a new posse of pageant queens in town. But this time, rather than traffic in cute costuming and quirky pageant moms, these contestants are slightly more mature. Meet the women of Pageant Wives, TLC's new reality show about five married women in the Denver, Colorado, area who participate in the highly competitive Mrs. pageant circuit.
Cast members range from a pageant pro, who makes nearly 300 appearances annually, to a woman who's spent more than 25 years searching for a title, and a super competitive pageant director.
There are dozens of "Mrs." pageants for married women, but the crown jewel of the circuit is the Mrs. America pageant, which began in 1978. Mrs. pageants were begun as an alternative to traditional Ms. pageants, which prohibited married women from participating (antiquated, right?).
Whether you love or hate the pageant system, you can't deny that these women are fun to watch! Don't miss Pageant Wives, debuting in 2013.

Many Pageant women enter Pageants in hopes of winning the Sash & Crown to make a difference in this World by bringing greater awareness to Platforms, Causes and Fundraisers. For some it is the beauty of the heart and soul, not the physical beauty. I'm excited to see 'Pageant Wives' shine a positive spin on Mrs Pageants.

@Michelle Wiese...your belief in stereotypes reminds me of all that is wrong in the world today.

Good morning I can't believe this is on facebook. I beg to differ with Michelle W. I started competing in pageants at age 42, after becoming a young empty nester. I haven't had any plastic surgeries to play Barbie doll. I love to wear those beautiful gowns, and heels; but I wanted the exposure for Giving children of child abuse a voice through my hard work and volunteering. In the process I have learned so much more about myself than I would have ever challenged had I not had a reason to dig deep to find out. The friendships I have made over the weeks and weekends is immesurable. The confidence and courage to "model" and speak in front of hundreds of people is something every woman should know.

This is going to be THE MOST AWESOME SHOW!
The filming at the Golden Queens Beauty Pageant was insane!
These women are crazy! They really rock the show.
With lots of drama and sub-plots behind the scenes, the Reality of Mrs. and Ms. Beauty Pageants will finally be seen!
OMG! OMG! Can't wait to see what they do next!
