Meet the Next Great Baker! Welcome to Carlo's, Dana!
03/04/2011
[From the TLC Editors: Dana's hard at work at Carlo's! So, we decided to catch up with him and ask him how his first day on the job went. Check out his guest blog entry below.]
Today at the Bakery was awesome. It was a cool feeling being back. Just to think I was here fighting for survival and now I am back. I won. I was welcomed with open arms. As soon as I walked in I saw Joey and was super excited. I was ready to rock and roll. Lock and load, baby. The second person I saw was Madeline. She gave me a big hug and kiss. Then I saw Danny, Franky, the General aka Mauro. A little while later Buddy came in. The Boss was in the building.
I worked with Buddy a little on a baby shower cake for Lisa. She is due at the same time as my wife. We could be due on the same day - go figure. Wait until you see the detail on this cake. As Greggy would say FABOO!
I got to work with Tyne just a little and she was showing me how to model figures. So cool. Figures are tough - they take a lot of time and attention.
Then, off to Buddy's house for the baby shower. Lisa looked amazing. Everybody was there. The food was great: Chicken Marsala, Calamari, Pasta with Pink Sauce, Italian Antipasto trays, YUM!
I cannot wait until tomorrow!
Meet Baby Carlo! Tune in for the Cake Boss Baby Special on Sunday, March 6 @ 9/8c!

Dear Buddy I didn't know a family show could be so fun and real at the same time. I started watching your show this year and feel in love it I have been watching the reruns over so much I had to order the dvds to add to my collection. I watched the last show and when they said "last season. I got upset cause I though that you were not bring the show back. I clicked on your website and saw that you will be back in October. I had to write and thank you and your family. Tell mama hello for me. I love her she is the true boss.

Hi. I just finished watching the rerun of the time Cousin Anthony burned those 2 sheets of cookies. It disappoints me to see them go to waist. I was thinking that you could give your cake leftovers and cookies you don't sell or were gonna throw away to a shelter to help those in need. Please consider and write back! :)

I got to say I admire how you handled it you had such grace patience and understanding Thanks for being an example and showing us that we have to be the bigger person in some situations and always be compassionate and forgive thanks buddy
