Breed All About Them

Scotish-fold

You've learned lots of fascinating facts about famous and obscure dog breeds on "Dogs 101." So now it's the cats' turn. Yes, "Cats 101" is back, at 9PM e/p this Saturday, featuring both popular and unique felines. Could you identify a Cornish Rex or Japanese Bobtail? Do you know the secret about the Scottish Fold's ears? You'll soon be a cat expert, dazzling your friends, and your own cats, with cool insights into all the breeds.

Naturally, The Mole's own Max and Starli cats will be tuned in, anxious to learn just which cat breed has the longest whiskers, and which one comes in more than 300 colors.  And even if you already know which breed can be born cross-eyed, did you realize the Mayflower arrived with a special feline passenger?

"Cats 101" will also help cat-free viewers decide just which feline breed might be just perfect as a new addition to their household. A house without a cat is just ... a house!

Feline Art Lover -- Not!

While cats often sniff in approval, or stalk away in disgust, when a new piece of furniture appears, a Persian mix named Clive went a bit further recently. PeoplePets.com reports that when Shirley Youngs brought home a cat sculpture by local New Zealand artist Bohdi Vincent, she intended the statute to simply be an expression of her love for cats.

But 2-year-old Clive led his feline roommates in an attack on the art, declaring it unfit to pay tribute to felines. Shirley took photos of Clive in action as he let the sculpture know just who's the top cat in this household.
