Jackie's Silver Lining

My name is Jackie, I'm 22 years old and currently living in Kansas. 2 Years ago in July I moved to Florida and was loving it. Thats when my grandmother was diagnosed with cancer. She fought a tough battle and on the Friday before July 4th weekend, a year after I had moved, she passed away. I got the news through a phone call from my mother while I was at work. Devastated that she was gone, I broke down in tears. Unfortunately for me, I was to broke to be able to afford the travel costs to make it to the funeral. It was truly one of the hardest things ever. Not only did I feel as if I wasn't there for her during her battle with cancer, but I also felt terrible for not making it to the services. So, I saved my money and got this tattoo in memoriam of her. She always had this "things will get better" attitude, even through her battle with cancer, and I truly admired that in her. After getting the tattoo done, I broke down in tears just seeing it. It truly is an amazing piece and I'm so happy that I got it done!
