Check out this video from storm chaser Andrew Pritchard of the large tornadoes that tore through Northern Illinois yesterday afternoon/evening! Andrew intercepted three wedges, with one attaining nearly 1 mile in width... He said that when one tornado was roping out, a new tornado would form with the new circulation in a matter of seconds. Thankfully, no fatalities have been reported from yesterday's tornadoes, which is a miracle considering the population density... Ironically, we talked to Andrew before this season about streaming live video to TornadoVideos.net, but could not make it happen in time for the spring. Most chasers targeted Iowa yesterday, since storm initiation was a major question further east in Illinois. This was a big mistake, as storms quickly merged together into a disorganized mass of heavy rain and strong straight-line winds. Meanwhile, a tornadic monster developed along the warm front in Northern Illinois, and produced several large tornadoes.

This footage was crazy!! I am originally from Peotone and my family still lives there. This was an amazing storm and I thank god nobody got seriously injured. My husband is a nut for this stuff too, he would of loved to have done what you guys did!!

I can remember that day very well. I live in Hammond Indiana. I was out by my boyfriends house in Sauk Village, IL when sirens went off and it was very windy and hailing outside. My bf's dad actually was working at the time and made 2 small videos. The links are:
