Since most of our posts have dealt with tornadoes and storm chasing, I thought I'd share with everyone an example of how TVN kills time in between storm chases!
This tree was heavily damaged during the December 2007 ice storm in Norman, OK...

That is hilarious. Better than going to the gym I would have thought. Mind you, the HSE would have had a field day with that. Im loving the whole safety precautions you take and the consequences ;-)
Now, I have never chopped down a tree, but I am sure that I have read domewhere that your supposed to make two cuts in the tree, on opposite sides, with one higher than the other. But, hey, what do I know? Im just a female biology technician.
I suppose your the first port of call when you come across a downed tree on a chase...... ah, that image is gonna be with me for the rest of the day. Very funny and quirky
