Michael Jackson Had a Patent
June 26, 2009
The news of Michael Jackson's death yesterday threw me off. At first I thought it was a rumor. But alas, no. I grew up with his music and have many favorite songs. Indeed, I consider him the King of Pop. His death was a big surprise, but then this morning, another surprise: Jackson had a patent.
The title: Method and means for creating anti-gravity illusion.
It's a system that consists of a special shoe that has a hitch designed to attach to a projection in a stage. When the shoe engages with the component in the stage, the performer can lean forward beyond his or her center of gravity.
Why did he invent it? According to the patent, he had dance steps in his video performances where he and members of his dance crew would appear to lean forward beyond the center of gravity. This illusion was achieved by using cables attached to each dancer's waist. But the set up required stage hands to help out and was too clumsy for use during live performances.
The solution: The shoes. The video shows the anti-gravity shoes in action, live:
What an amazing performer. A genius musician and this idea shows that his intelligence and creativity went beyond music.

It'sinteresting to see so many doiffernt perspectives of Mr jackson. Lets all talk well of the dead yes?

The buzz keeps buzzing and the anticipation continues to grow. Dr BLT's country remake of the Michael Jackson song will be released August 8, 2009.
Who would have thought this would work as a country song? Michael Jackson's Billie Jean? Dr BLT discovered that it would a couple of days after Michael Jackson passed away, as he was sitting in front of a local Starbucks in Bakersfield, California, strumming his guitar to a country rhythm.
After running the idea by Big House frontman, Monty Byrom, and having Monty sing it back to him, he was even more convinced. So he's taking it to the studio with rising Bakersfield country artist, Penny Marie. Here's a sample
Billie Jean (duet sample):

I thought that innocent until proven guilty was are motto,or does that only work when you are on trial, Taylor?
Just because someone is out for bucks doesn't prove anything. Any decent parent wouldn't their kids stay overnight at a strangers house even if they are famous.

Clearly, this isn't Michael Jackson... but it's still funny to watch. If you don't laugh at this, check for a pulse.

"he was a serial pedophile. Our children are safer now that he is gone. He molested a child cancer survivor"
If you believe that then you have more faith in the media than our judicial system. True, the court system isn't perfect and justice is sometimes bought with money and celebrity (ex. OJ Simpson) but with the evidence presented against MJ it was clearly some kids parents trying to cash in.
The man died 5 days ago. Even if you see him as an acquited criminal before a great artist then I pity your hierchy of appreciation and ignorance.

> Our children are safer now that he is gone.
My child isn't safer. I don't let my child sleep overnight at a stranger's house, so he was never in danger. A small subset of starry-eyed morons' children are safer, but given that they're prima facie morons, probably not.

You can do the anti gravity thing wearing skis and I believe that was invented long before MJ was born.

Putting a little hook on a shoe... and latching it into a slot on the floor... is "brillant" and "genius"???
Wow. Pretty simple, actually.

Okay people, MJ's music and dancing were both amazing, but let's not forget that he was a serial pedophile. Our children are safer now that he is gone. He molested a child cancer survivor- why should we worship him? Just sayin...

MJ was a genius! This is proof of his talents as an engineer in his field. RIP, Michael!

Michael was all about dazzling the eye. He did it with style, and he did it with illusions. David Blaine ain't got nothin' on Mike!

Who knew?! So...fine, he's a musical genius who was also inventive, in massive debt, very controversial, yadda. What I'm struggling with is the lame picture that accompanies the patent. What is it a wood relief? And did Laura Ingalls write "Fig. 6"? Just sayin'.

There is plenty of Michael Jackson worship out there these days, but only one song that gives Michael Jackson his due props without trying to hide the elephant in the room. It was penned by a psychologist. It was recorded by a singer/songwriter. They are the same person, namely, me, Dr BLT
Sample the song here:
