Look Good While Lifting Hundreds of Pounds
Nearly eight years in the making, a robotic suit that looks like it could give the wearer some serious arse-kicking power is finally out. Raytheon recently sent out an update about it's own Iron Man, well-timed with the new movie and with an article in Popular Science. The wearable exoskeleton has sensors, motors, and controllers that give an average person superhero strength. For example, a person could lift hundreds of pounds of weight without tiring. But the machine is agile and graceful. Just watch the CNN video below.
Part of me is a little weirded out by what this thing could potentially do. It's being developed for military applications, after all.
But most of me can't help but think how cool this is. It's fascinating and a little scary all at the same time. And I wish I could put it on and see just how much weight I could lift. Why are robots so freakin' cool?

That last part of that video is scary - autonomous war robots? Reminds me of the Terminator series!
