I love simple tech solutions like this electro-luminescent rug that lights up only when you step on it. How cool is that? It uses a rechargeable battery for power and operates by pressure--when you put weight on it, it emits a glow. The perfect night-light for someone like me, who prefers sleeping in an ultra dark room, but is prone to bumping a knee in the absence of a night lite.
