Turkeys have lived in North America for roughly 10 million years. Native Americans have hunted wild turkey for consumption as early as 1000 A.D., and turkeys were likely domesticated by the Aztecs hundreds of years before Europeans arrived on the continent. The name "turkey" may be a deriviation from the Native American name for turkey, "Firkee."

Who doesn't love knitted food? Here are some of Joanna's favorites. Many are awesome, a few are bizarre and all are free patterns.

Sushi Toilet Paper Roll Cozy. Need we say anything else?

Why would I pay such a ridiculous rent to live in a 6th floor walk up with one closet that used to house brooms? It's simple...there's lots of stuff do do in my hood. And lots of weird graffiti.

I've compiled a list of a few things I think are a productive way to while away the those twilight hours between getting up and whatever else comes after.
