THE OUTRAGEOUS AND THE UNEXPLAINED DOMINATE SCIENCE CHANNEL'S LINEUP AT THE 2013 COMIC-CON INTERNATIONAL

Science Channel presents OUTRAGEOUS ACTS OF SCIENCE on Friday, July 19 and THE UNEXPLAINED FILES on Saturday, July 20

Following up on the success of last year's BROWNCOATS UNITE: THE FIREFLY 10th ANNIVERSARY reunion panel, Science Channel today announced its lineup for this year’s Comic-Con.  On Friday, the network known for smart, lean-forward content will debut its panel for the breakout series OUTRAGEOUS ACTS OF SCIENCE, where citizen scientists from around the web walk the line between genius and insanity.  A panel featuring experts in topics ranging from the worlds of astrophysics and biology will comment on the unbelievable internet videos created by crazy geniuses from around the globe.  On Saturday evening, Science Channel delves into the unknown with a look at the upcoming series THE UNEXPLAINED FILES.  Panelists will share eye-witness accounts of blood rain, alien encounters and mysterious meat eaters with Comic-Con crowds for the first time ever.

"Comic-Con is an event unlike any other and Science Channel is once again honored to participate in the pop culture happening of the year," said Debbie Adler Myers, general manager and executive vice president of Science Channel.  "We've got a great lineup of panels that combine the best of science and smart entertainment with some extreme surprises."

On Friday, July 19, Science Channel will present OUTRAGEOUS ACTS OF SCIENCE where the 'rock stars of science' unlock some of the most extreme experiments found on the internet.  Featuring viral videos, the panelists will dissect the most perplexing media footage presented.

Ever wonder how a man can successfully jump from a 20-foot platform into a pool with 2-feet of water? Science Channel will offer the audience an explanation of these video sensations from its hit show. OUTRAGEOUS ACTS OF SCIENCE will air back-to-back episodes on Sunday, August 4 at 4PM ET/PT.

On Saturday, July 20 join the team at Science Channel as they take fans on a mystifying journey with THE UNEXPLAINED FILES.  All over the world, people experience mysterious phenomena that puzzle scientists. From spontaneous combustion and UFO sightings to strange loud sounds, possible curses and peculiar afflictions, these troubling happenings seemingly cannot be explained. Before the world premiere debuts this summer, join renowned scientists, eyewitnesses and producers as they present riveting never-before-seen footage.  Come listen as they share their vivid, first-person accounts of truly unexplainable experiences with Texas Blue Dogs, Mothman, Alien Rain, The Ghost Yatch, Morgellon's Disease and much more. UNEXPLAINED FILES will premiere on Wednesday, August 28 at 9PM ET/PT.
