Prayers for "Grand Pa" Jim Duggar.
February 11, 2009
The Duggar Family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, thoughts, and loving messages sent regarding the Heavenly Home-going of ‘Grand Pa’ Jim Duggar. He passed away Monday morning, February 9th at 10 am. He had a unique ability to make others laugh and smile. He delighted spending time with his family traveling and doing things together. He was a fun Grandpa. He loved buying and selling property, cars, and making ‘Big’ trades. Few people enjoyed life as much as J.L. Duggar.
Grandpa Duggar lived out the verse in Proverbs 17:22 that says, “A joyful heart is like
good medicine.”
He loved cracking jokes
in tense situations, telling funny stories even about himself to make others
forget their own problems.
If he could come back just for 5 minutes, he would tell us how wonderful Heaven is, and how important it is for the rest of us to make sure we have a relationship with Jesus and to live every day for Him! He would tell us not to get so bogged down with the cares of this world or to worry about anything, but to love God, serve others and make a difference with whatever time and resources we have left. He will be greatly missed.
The family requests memorials be made to Gideon’s Memorial Bible Program.
See a special photo presentation dedicated to J.L. "Jimmy Lee" Duggar.

Dearest Jim-Bob, Michelle and Family,
The home going of a parent can be a very lonely time, but with the love that all of you have for each other and the strength of our Saviour Jesus Christ, I am sure you all will support each other. Just because he is no longer physically with you all, just remember he is in your hearts and mind, that he truely blessed each of you with all his love. I enjoyed seeing him interacting and being interviewed and I am sure you all have greater loving memories that will sustain you through the short period of time until you are all reunited. Both my parents left in 2006, and I have the great joy of knowing I will be with them again.
Life is short upon this earth, and your family is making a positive impact on many families, at a time it is truly needed.
Oh, Congratulations on the new young lady (I welcomed my 7th granchild, Olivia Luka on 12/30 and expect #8 in July). Children are a great blessing from the Lord.

Jim-Bob, Michelle, and Family
I am very saorry to hear about your loss.. Your Family is in our prayers as you go through the tragic loss of a family memeber.
I was hospitalized with a severe case of Pancreatitis. If I didn't go to the hospital I was on the verge of passing on myself. I have 3 small children ( 3.5yrs, 2yrs, and a 2month old) who all I was thinking about while I was in I.C.U. twice I was wondering who would take care of them until their father was released from prison for a unknown crime that he said he commited. but with the POWER OF PRAYER and God's love and devotion for me.. He knew it wasn't my time and healed me with his power and I am happy to say I was released from the hospital 2/6 and recovering to the best of my ability.
I kinow God is here for you and going t heal your pain in your hearts to the best of his ability. I give you my blessing..
Sincerely,
Erin from Ohio

When a family member passes away, it is a sad time. But when that family member believes in the Gospel and has the Lord as their savior. It can also be a time of rejoicing. To know that he is in heaven doing what he was created to do, Worshiping the Lord:) how awesome.
I will keep you and your family in prayer.
