Do They Make Me Look Gassy?

July 9, 1979: After two years in transit, Voyager 2 reaches its closest point to Jupiter ... about 350,000 miles away. Two years later it would pass Saturn, then Uranus and Neptune. Together with Voyager 1, they take more than 33,000 photos of Jupiter and its five moons, including the surprisingly volcanic Io. Watch a video of Voyager 2 highlights.
