Pet Airways now offering service to Florida
Our pets can now comfortably and safely fly south for the winter as Pet Airways announced today that they are opening a new route between New York and Florida.
Launched earlier this year, Pet Airways is specifically designed for the safe and comfortable transportation of pets, with all pets traveling under the continuous care of trained pet attendants. Pets are given regular potty breaks, and the airline assures pet owners that their animals will never be left alone.
In addition to the five cities it now serves — New York, Washington D.C., Chicago, Denver and Los Angeles — Pet Airways is now beginning its expansion of routes with a new weekly service to Ft Lauderdale.
Pets fly in the main cabin, not cargo
The airline keeps pets in special lounges until shortly before departure, then walks them on the plane, where rows of crates await them in the stripped-out main cabin. Introductory fares begin at $150 for a one-way trip.
