Mimi Green: Collar your Pup and Pop with Color!
08/25/2009
It’s not often that you come across a company named after a child’s security blanket, particularly a green, hand knit and strangely, super scratchy security blanket. But that’s exactly how Amanda, mom to 7-year-old Noah, 1-year-old Augustine, black pound pup Etta and Pug Cecilia, chose the name for her absolutely charming pet fashion accessories company, Mimi Green. Indeed, Mimi Green is the name of her little sister's security banky and also serves as the monniker of her darling line of dog collars, leads, bows and accessories.
All Mimi Green products are 100% handmade and made in the U.S.A, and one of my favorite picks from her collection is the hand crochet flower dog collar appliques (at right) which come in seven vibrant colors so you can quickly interchange them everyday. Fully washable, the flower arrives in a delightful organza bag.
Another favorite from her collection is the Tangerine Orange collar and leads (which my Schmoo is presently rocking), featuring oranges, teals and lime greens that add pop to this fun collar. Very Boho meets Marimekko.

This is a great feature. The collars could definitely add some sort of uniqueness for the pets. Plus, knowing that these collars are handmade is an awesome bonus!
