Casey Anthony: Caylee Anthony: One Year Later
July 15, 2009
One year ago today a call by Caylee Anthony's grandmother, Cindy Anthony, launched an investigation into Caylee's disappearance -- an investigation which quickly focused on Caylee's mother, Casey Anthony. Since that time, Caylee's remains have been found and her mother has been charged with her murder. All of these and other events can be found in Investigation Discovery's updated timeline of events.
In addition to the timeline, we are also working on updating other sections of the full coverage page, including the article index and the document dump. Please continue to check back for updates to those pages.

So much of Casey Anthony's behavior screams bi-polar to me. The lying, the sleeplessness, the frantic partying. I am in no way justifying what she did and Cyndee seems like a classic enabler. I wonder if she could possibly get a fair trial when she has had Nancy Grace reporting every single breath she's taken for the last several years. There is no one in this country who has not already formed an opinion.

Felicia - Well if we are going to throw Nancy grace out there - how about we also blame Casey's parents for going to the media over an dover again to spread "untruths" and have their words "misconstruded". They have done a lot more damage than Nancy Grace's little hour long show.

IMO Casey is not bipolar. She is a sociopath. I have known bipolar people, and have known them to commit suicide but never murder. Bipolar people are not dangerous to anyone but themselves, but sociopaths have no conscience and therefore, can be quite dangerous. Remember Jeffrey Damert?

How about an opinion from an eye witness of seeing caylee alive? I believe Casey is hording back truth because of her pride. It is MHO... that Caylee was taken for drug payment and was brought to my neighborhood. I saw the reports on Caylee's death. The timing reported of her death was just after the time I reported seeing her alive. Law enforcement need to take off the blinders on their heart and listen to what I have been trying to tell them for months! They have the truth at hand but won't listen! It is the hardness of their heart and pride that keep them from hearing me. Casey may have been a party animal... in which I don't approve of... but she is not a murderer. People need to stop judging and start listening!

HELLO? SILENT WITNESS.....What about the fact that a school friend pointed to the place where the childs body was found as a place they "hung out" and buried pets, don't you think that seems odd for drug dealers to place the body in the same area where Casey buried her pets. And even if it was a drug issue, not many drug dealers take a child for payment (duh, I should know). IMO it is the hardness of 'your' heart that prevents you from seeing the truth about Casey. She has been a pathological liar for years, (lying to her parents about her job, to her friends about her family, etc.)that why she thinks she can get away with ANYTHING (she ALWAYS has). Cindy is nothing more than her inabler, (she JUSTIFIES every action Casey makes) and George is too afraid to cause a fuss with Cindy to stand up to the truth about Casey, which I feel has a lot to do with his "suicide" attempt. I feel George needs a dose of courage, Cindy needs a dose of reality, and Casey needs to CONFESS to what she has done!

Yes, Silent witness. I have thought since the whole thing happened that Caylee's abduction was drug related. Casey had all of the telltale signs of a partying drug addict. Anyone who would steal from their grandmother's nursing home account or their child's piggy bank is screaming that they are an addict. It seems most likely that Caylee was taken for drug payment and then killed when Casey didn't produce the money. Casey seems like a sociopath because she doesn't show emotions....this also could be another sign of addict behaviour.
I just don't know why the media didn't focus on her drug problem.

Everything about this case is bizarre! Too many inconsistencies, and obvious frauds. If the mother killed her child..why didnt ppl find the body during the extensive searches?? How could there be so many sitings on varied dates? Why did the county keep the autoptsy restricted ....bizarre!! There is alot more to this story than meets the eye. Alot pf pll are blind & ignorant. Why thousands of FL small children disappeared off FL DCF system ..never to be determined ????

casey anthony knew exactly what she was doing she thinks she is smarter than the police. they are a special place in hell for her and i hope every night for the rest of her life she dreams of caylee and what she did to that baby this case criesout for the death penalty.

Casey's parents are just as guilty as Casey .. One lies and the others swear by it. I think the family knew about it, one at a time, since the very beginning, starting with George.

I think she killed her. And, I think she was also planning on killing her parents as well. Remember, she kept telling Amy she was getting the house?? If I were the Anthony's, I would think back to any time she may have been hanging aroung with "a rag"

A year on I beg the question, "Is Casey Anthony more sinned against than sinning?"
That she is the person responsible for Caylee Anthony's death is not even in question at this point in time-least not in my mind, but that said, I am ever mindful of the fact that Anthony is entitled to the presumption of innocence. The onus is on the State/prosecution's office to present the evidence of the crime in court-I feel certain that the State will put forward a very strong case, and I personally believe that the trial will do more harm than good to Casey Anthony.
But the how and why of this crime still remain-I question the method and the motivation of Casey Anthonys alleged actions and behaviour on or around June 16th. Certainly Anthony didnt leave the baby in the care of a nanny (as she alleged)and certainly Anthony didnt go off to work at Universal-and certainly Caylee Anthony died on june 16th whilst in the care of her mother. But despite the fact that I personally feel absolutely certain that Caylee died at the hand of her mother-I remain uncertain of the manner/nature of the child's death. I personally dont believe that the childs death was a result of an tragic accident-based upon the fact that Casey Anthony did not call 911 to report an emergency, to summons help/assistance.
Despite all the evidence released in the case--despite all the media coverage
-the question still remains -How and Why did little Caylee die?

I understand that the wheels of justice must turn, and Casey is entitled to due process and the right to a trial by jury. BUT REALLY, NO FOR REAL, SERIOUSLY!! WE ALL KNOW SHE'S GUILTY. We are already a country suffering from a great economic depression, lets do the the right thing and save the taxpayers some money. Her parents are wrong on so many levels, its not even funny!! I know you love your kids, and you want to rah rah for your kids, but who cosigns that kind of krap? Her parents know she is guilty and are still fighting for her. I have kids and let me tell you, if they pulled some old stunt like this, they would be on their own. Right is right and wrong is wrong and as parents its our job to teach that to our children, and the only way to do that is to lead by example. No wonder she is as screwd up as she is look at her example. You know its bad when the babysitter you accused of kidnapping your child is suing you. She had all that time to get her story straight and that's the best she could comeup with? Just on general principle alone she should go to prison for not coming up with a better story.I dont know what's more ridicoulous the fact that she couldnt come up with a better story or the fact that her parents are even pretending to believe this monkey mess nonsense. Sad to say but Caylee is in a better place, considering who she had for a mother, and what type of parenting went into raising her mother.
