Caylee Anthony's Autopsy Report

As expected, the Orange-Osceola State Attorney's Office released the 36-page Medical Examiner's report on Caylee Marie Anthony's autopsy today, along with dozens of other pages of forensic reports.

While a great amount of press has been given to the documents, they really don't add up to much. The biggest revelation is perhaps the fact that no drugs were found in her body – something which collaborates earlier evidence. In addition, the report states that "an almost complete skeleton" was found, something that is somewhat surprising given the circumstances of the find. Other than those little tidbits, little else in the report is of much interest as far as "bombshell" news goes.

Unfortunately, the biggest question, how little Caylee died, remains a mystery.

"Although the cause of death cannot be determined with certainty, the manner of death is homicide," the report states.

Caylee's mother, Casey Anthony, has been charged with murder and is expected to go to trial in October of this year; however, given the way the rest of the case has gone, that date will most likely change.

The tidbit that was new to me was the additional finding of duct tape over Caylee's nasal passages as well as her mouth.

That is a big surprise. Glad I'm not a gambler. Would have lost a lot on that bet. I am prompted now to research whether or not hair does, in fact, show all the chemicals that could have been in the body. Wow. Such a surprise. Thanks for the update.

Cassie Anthony said that she spoke to Caylee on the phone 2 seperate times after she went missing. Caylee was dead when she spoke with her on the phone. She says this on tape to the police. This should prove that she had to know and was biding time and misleading everyone giving the grand parents hope that she was alive.

Simple as I have always thought this murder was. The only reason to put duct tape over a person's mouth is to keep them from screaming. The only reason to place it over their nose is to keep them from breathing. The only reason to do both is to kill them.

Casey "allegedly" placed the tape over her daughter's mouth and nose and then threw her in the trunk of her car overnight while she went out with her man. The next day she dead was dead and she liked how it felt to be free. simple.

Protectkidz, I think that the duct tape covered Caylee's mouth AND nose is the horrible suspicion that many had. The report made it clear that it was placed on Caylee's body before decomposition began.

As for this case, the usual trickle of information. Unfortunately only the people in the court room will get the most information. The rest of us will have to settle for tidbits.

Thanks for the update; I've been wondering about this case for a few weeks. I had been following it religiously when it was breaking but lost touch with it in the past month. Haven't heard an update in a while. Curious about how the trial is going to go (whenever it ends up happening).

u know i could never understand why anyone would want no part of someone so precious just to hang out with a bunch of hoodlums. I have a 5 year old son and he is the best thing that happened to me. I followed this whole case since caylee went missing and casey's mother and father should have took that baby as soon as she was born casey does not have the sense to take care of a dog. I think that little girl had to endure alot of torture before her death the samples of cloroform that were found in the air samples taken says to me that casey was using that as her nanny. I think she was knocking that baby out with cloroform leaving her in the trunk until the next day and getting her out like life was normal i think the purpose of the tape was to keep the baby quiet until she was available to get her out of the trunk and the last time she did it she overdosed caylee. I hope that some day the anthony family finds peace. As for casey I dont want to see her get the death penalty I think the best thing is for her to rot in jail and enjoying never having the chance to choose what man she can PARTY with and having the freedom of being a normal human she is a sociopath as been described many times on the news. I hate the fact that she took that bueatiful little girls life but god is going to take much better care of that baby and that baby want have to take the abuse and neglect anymore. God will punish casey to the fullest. She should everyday consider the karma that she has in her future.

a child not survive overnight like that in a trunk at the most it took 4 to 5 minutes for caylee to die still too long poor baby this was no accident 3 pieces of tapped overlapped her nose and mouth and around her skull still attatched by hair she smothered to death. HOPE CASEY ROTS!!!!!!!!!

Casey should be made to read the autopsy report,to find out the heart wrenching truth of what happened to Caylee's little body.Maybe then she would wake up to the horrifying reality of the destruction of a precious child!I cried all the way through reading it!

I agree with you Elizabeth.Maybe Casey would come to realize what she "allegedly" did to Caylee.It makes me sick to think Caylee's tiny body was in the woods all alone,while Casey was out partying,never giving Caylee a thought.I don't think the death was an overdose.I keep thinking was murdered in her bedroom,then was going to bury her in the backyard but instead drove around with the body til it was too decayed to cary in the trunk anymore,so threw her body out like it's garbage.So sad!

One more thing is how Casey allegedly valued sleeping around more than the love of a child makes me wonder if she craved abuse by men.Guys who party don't care about any girl they are with.I don't know if Casey was looking for love or sex but because of the way most young women are raised to equate sex with love,one has to think she was looking for attention or abuse.there are women who seperate sex and love but usually those women are older and so emotionally independent that they don't crave the fairy love story many women want.Every woman is different in her needs but there is the generalization of women looking for attention and trying to get it through sex.Most women would opt for the love of a child rather than being out with many men.

Cindy and Casey were in a violent argument because Casey stole money from her grandma. Casey grabbed Caylee and left in her car. Caylee was never seen alive again, but was found in the same clothes she had on when Casey took her from her parents home. This was all stated right after the remains were found. I will be so glad when that smile is ripped off. Caseys face when they execute her.

it is so obvious, it should have hit the investigater's in the face. after they found the body, the grandfather tried to kill himself. why? Guilt, that he might just get caught.
it clearly shows the Cassie is not capable of committing such an act. she didn't know what Chloroform was until they told her. she is not smart. grandmother admitted to 84 search's for Chloroform. Comon people do you really think that cassie did it? your idiots if you do.
