Caylee Anthony Update: Several Items of Interest Found
December 12, 2008
The Caylee Anthony case took a dramatic turn yesterday when a child's skeletal remains were found approximately three-tenths of a mile from the home of Casey Anthony's parents, George and Cindy Anthony. Since that time, the remains have been sent off for positive identification and a search warrant has been obtained for the Anthony family home.
Investigators conducting the search of the home have been seen removing enough items to fill up at least three vehicles. The search, which began yesterday evening, continued until early this morning.
A sheriff's deputy has been posted in front of the house to guard what is now being described as a "crime scene" by the sheriff's office. A sheriff's office helicopter is also patrolling the area to ensure that no one attempts to corrupt the scene.
Items removed from the Anthony family home include: three vacuum cleaners, two pesticide tanks, a small pillow, seven large paper bags and four boxes of potential evidence.
During an interview with CNN, Orange County sheriff Kevin Beary said that investigators "absolutely" found something of interest while searching the home.
In a separate interview with "The Today Show," Beary said that something found with the child skeletal remains prompted the search.
"We know that there's some clues that came out of the remains found yesterday and that's why we've kind of linked it back to the house. That's why we did everything proper, got a search warrant and secured the premises and searched into the wee hours this morning," Beary said.
Investigators are planning to continue the search later today. They also plan on conducting another search of the area where the child skeletal remains were found.
The remains have since been sent to the FBI crime lab in Quantico, Virginia, where experts are conducting expedited testing to identify them. According to Beary, a positive ID could take up to two weeks.
Casey Anthony's attorney, Jose Baez, has filed an emergency motion to ensure that defense experts can be present while the remains are being examined. A hearing to rule on that motion has been scheduled for 11:30 a.m. today.
Meanwhile, a source inside the Orange-Osceola State Attorney's Office has said that the death penalty that was recently taken off the table would be reconsidered if the remains are proven to be Caylee. It was just one week ago that the state attorney's office announced they would not seek the death penalty against Anthony in the first-degree murder of Caylee.
Events that have transpired in the last 24 hours were set in motion yesterday morning, when an Orange County water meter reader discovered child skeletal remains inside a black plastic garbage bag near Chickasaw Trail and Suburban Drive in Orlando.
The worker immediately notified police and the area was cordoned off as a crime scene. Sources close to the investigation say that remnants of duct tape were found on both the skull and the trash bag.

3/10ths of a mile from the home?? Once again the Florida police and sheriff department shows the stellar work that we all know them for! NOT!
Like I told my spouse, Casey simply isn't smart. Apparently the LE in Florida isn't either.

Thanks for all the reliable updates. Your readers can count on you for the truth. I am so relieved that little Caylee can finally be laid to rest.

David - in case LE hasn't already thought about it, there was a case (I think profiled on your channel) that LE found salvia on the sticky side of the end of the duct tape because the person ripped it with their mouth. I wonder if that wouldn't survive even after all this time and being in water as it would be under the tape.
Posted by: BeckyM | December 12, 2008 at 10:35 AM
David thank you. I feel terrible for Cindy Anthony, to know and to accept that her daughter has been torturing her with lies and false hope all this time will detroy her, but then again maybe she will insist that Casey is being framed.
My heart goes out to the family anyway.
Posted by: Kim | December 12, 2008 at 10:45 AM
What excuses are the grandparents going to make for THIS?! I am very sorry for their loss, but they need to tell Casey that she is dead to them too.

Even when all of this is over, I will always wonder about the paternity of Caylee, as I don't believe her bio father was killed in an auto accident. I feel that there is a family secret regarding this matter, making everything more complicated. I won't detail my thoughts, but I sure wish Casey could have given Caylee up for adoption at birth. I feel she felt forced to be a mother to a baby she didn't want from the get go. I'm not making excuses for her, as it does not justify murder, but I think the depth of the family dsyfunction created this terrible tragedy. We all have dysfunction to some degree, but... sigh.... My heart aches. On a different note, thank you David, for your on-going respected reporting.

do you guys have any thoughts on why they took two pesticide tanks?
Posted by: michelle | December 12, 2008 at 10:58 AM
Thanks for staying so on top of this David. It seems like everything is coming to a head...
TO BeckyM - It's been reported here and elsewhere that the are of discovery has been underwater for months - would you have rather they went in there and stepped on the bag ruining any chance for evidence survival? I don't live in Florida so I can't speak with authority on this but just based on all the reports I would say that LE has been busting thier colletive butts for the past 6 months on this case... maybe we can cut them a break?
Posted by: stacey c | December 12, 2008 at 11:02 AM
if your implying some incestous relations went on here wouldn't that be apparent from Caylee's DNA?
i believe this is just another crazy lie she told to cover up or make herself the center of attention

I just signed up for this, but not sure if my linking to the address verification worked because it did not state that the link worked, only connected me to Discovery.com.
Any how, Hello and I do have a question. Several weeks ago, information came out that Cindy had switched hair brushes when the authorities (FBI or Police, I do not know)asked to have the hair brush that was only used by Caylee. Instead Cindy gave them one that was used by both Casey and Caylee. My question is, Do the authorities have a good sample for DNA analysis to compare to the found child? I would assume the sample that they need would need to be better than mytocondrial, yes?

Re cshultz's comments regarding wishing Casey had been able to give Caylee up for
adoption at birth. I could not agree with you more. I in no way condone her hideous act(s)
but her mother is a profound piece of work. What business of hers was it to tell Casey
she couldn't put the child up for adoption? She should have been allowed to. I think
that she still would have made a total mess of her life, since she appears to have strong
sociopathic tendencies, however. It is unfathomable to me how utterly CINDY lies.
And I'll never have even a shred of respect for Larry King again, after he all but turned
his program over to the Anthony's so that they could try and fob their lying PR on the nation.
Thank G- they found Caylee's remains the next day. It felt like finally, Cindy could no longer
spread HER lies around...

To Stacey C. It's been known that Caylee has been gone by LE since July 15 . Are you stating that the entire area surronding the Anthony's home was under water from this time to now (FIVE straight months)? That it took a city worker, wandering around, to find it? And this was an area highlighted by the Predator software?
I would be more forgiving about this except that the close proximity to the Anthony's house. If you don't find that ridiculous, I don't know why not.

I believe they do have a good sample of dna for Caylee. jesse grund, caseys ex-fiance, had taken a paternity test to prove he WASNT Caylee's father. I believe he had her DNA profile with the results of him not being the father, and he gave that to police. Im not sure what those paternity test look like and how much information is on there, but Im sure it would be on file where ever the 2 of them were tested.

It is true that the entire area where the remains were found were indeed under water the entire time until about a week ago. And as far as her family forcing her not to give the baby up for adoption.... She would have had nothing to get their attention about if she had. She kept the child for purely selfish reasons like why she does everything else in her life. The child was of no use to her anymore.. she wanted to be with her boyfriend and in Casey's mind, her parents now loved the baby more than her which also interfered in what she wanted. And as far as some incestuous connection - don't you think this family has been through enough? Can't you see they are afraid of what their own daughter will do even they even question her? They love their grandchild as any grandparent would and they probably don't care who the father is anyway because she would say whatever was good for her and they would never know the truth which is exactly what happened when she said it was her boyfriend at the time, Jesse.
I am sad to see Cindy in so much denial, but instead of judging her family... can't you show some compassion for them? Clearly they are trying to cope with a very disturbed daughter and have been for quite some time. I'm sure they blame themselves as you can hear Cindy saying in one of her calls to the Sheriff's station that they should have filed those custody papers to get full custody of the child. This is a family in great pain and then need your compassion and not condemnation at this time. I don't believe they had anything to do with that murder, there is no evidence of that which we have heard of so far - Casey lived in the "crime scene" home too. Be thankful for closure and cut everyone else a break. I too, like the other person who told you to cut the PD a break don't live in FL...but I'm a person with a heart and I'm sure you are too. Let's not try to judge anyone going through such a nightmare and just focus or judgment for the monster that apparently murdered that child.
Posted by: Faith | December 12, 2008 at 01:25 PM
BeckyM- I don't think StaceyC said "that the entire area surrounding the Anthony's home was under water" just the area where the baby was found. I live in a neighborhood where there is a large section of woods behind my house and then a reservoir. The reservoir is drained once a year, I could see the same thing happening here. It's not so ridiculous.
Posted by: RobbieM | December 12, 2008 at 01:40 PM
Becky, a city worker was not "wandering around", stumbling on remains. It's been said many times already: The area where the remains were found was UNDER WATER until recently.
With all the volunteers that were out there, it's pretty callous to suggest every single one of the searchers was incompetent. If they had been able to get to the area sooner, they would've found Caylee (if it is indeed her) sooner.
The whole point of placing the body in water was to keep it from being discovered, I imagine.
Posted by: Rhonda | December 12, 2008 at 01:41 PM
Thank you Faith for your comment. It's amazed me, throughout this whole ordeal, how cruel people have been towards the entire family. It's obvious that the grandparents are grieving. It was obvious they were doing their best to hold onto any hope that their grandbaby was still alive, that their daughter couldn'd have done it. They had already lost their grandchild, the last thing they wanted was to lose their daughter too. I don't know who has children here, but I know I would stick next to my child through thick and thin. All this ridiculous speculation about coverups and incest is discusting; these insane theories hold absolutely no ground.
My heart goes out to the family at this time. I honestly hope justice is served here.

This Baby has come home for Christmas. It is very sad.
Posted by: jackie | December 12, 2008 at 02:36 PM
I am so upset when I see poor innocent Caylee's face on the television and to know that precious angel has been literally decaying in a garbage bag in the woods kills me. After watching those psycho Anthony's on Larry King I went to bed that night and prayed that Caylee was found so that we didn't have to listen to them protect that animal daughter of theirs any longer and then yesterday she was found! What now Cindy you are going to sit here after they come back with a positive identity and tell you 100% that this is Caylee? Are you going to swear it's not and claim she is still in Florida, california,Puerto Rico?? STOP the lies and face the fact that your good for nothing daughter murdered her poor innocent child! I also agree that there is some weird family secret behind the father of Caylee. I think there is something strange with Lee and Casey. Either way I PRAY she was not tortured and had no idea what happened to her and REST IN PEACE POOR LITTLE CAYLEE WE LOVE YOU!!! <3
Posted by: Terry | December 12, 2008 at 02:48 PM
Faith, you are right on this.
To those questioning why it took so long, there is no one to blame other than the person who hid the body. Next time, you want it to go faster, volunteer. Otherwise, if you're just going to sit on the sidelines and criticize law enforcement and the volunteers who look for these missing people, keep it to yourself.
As for the family, they are living a hell I would not wish on anyone, give them a break. They have lost their beloved grand daughter at the hands of their daughter.
Caylee, you should be getting ready for your 3rd Christmas, but instead you were given much less than you deserved.
Into paradise may the angels lead you. Rest in peace knowing you were loved by your Grandparents and by a world who lost you too soon.

Robbie M - as reported by David here, the worker was "going to the woods to relieve himself" when the skeletal remains were found. I call that "wandering about."
Via CNN article this area was searched ONCE by police at the beginning of the area and it was under water at that time. No news source I've read so far has confirmed that this area was under water for 5 months. When you find a newsource that documents it, let me know. I will be willing to read a fact and not a supposition.
Did I suggest that every one of the volunteers was an idiot? Reread what I wrote. I said LE obviously didn't search an area pinpointed by Predator software - and obviously didn't return to conduct a more in-depth search (read CNN). Did I mention Equusearch?
Get angry with me or what, but the fact remains that it was within one mile of the house. Casey even told them she was "close to home" - I guess she didn't draw them a map though...
Posted by: BeckyM | December 12, 2008 at 02:49 PM
Robbie - faith Rhonda - you all answered before I could... thank you! And believe me the last thing I want to do it argue with anyone on here... I just wanted to give the LE break.
And lets not forget - Tim Miller himself said that the discovery area was under water until a week or so ago - and he was in there and pulled out of there so as not damage any evidence.
And jackie - your simple statement brought a tear to my eye... you are right - she is home for Christmas and based on the time frame they are quoting it looks like we will get a definitive legal identification just in time for December 25th.
it's just heartbreaking
Posted by: stacey c | December 12, 2008 at 03:08 PM
Becky M - here is one of the many that I have read that state the water was there... Tim Miller of Equusearch on Nancy Grace last night - transcript from the show courtesy of CNN
NANCY GRACE: Tim, your workers, volunteers, everybody has been in and around this area, but isn`t it true that at the time the search was going down, Hurricane Faye had come through and there was extensive flooding?
TIM MILLER, TEXAS EQUUSEARCH: Nancy, if you recall -- and I got a lot of criticism for calling the search off the first time, but we actually lost a four-wheeler back in this same exact area that one of the volunteers was on the four-wheeler and water went totally over it. And the next day is when I called the search off, and it`s the best choice I ever made because if you recall back then, I said, You know what? If this little girl is under the water and a horse steps on her or a four-wheeler goes over or even a person steps on her just thinking it`s some type of debris underneath the water, then we`ve jeopardized any future search efforts.
And then when we came back the second time, this water where she was found -- and I actually went right back to the scene with investigators a couple of hours ago. But this water was still high when we came back the second time. And a neighbor actually said it was about a week-and-a-half ago or two weeks at the most when the water receded enough that you could see anything there.
So this is an area that we tried to search. Weather conditions just would not allow it. And I will never, ever regret calling the search off at that time because we could have done far more damage than good if we had...
GRACE: Tim, I remember that very night -- I remember talking to you about that night on the show, asking you why you pulled out. And you made it very clear that you were so afraid that in all the water -- it was feet deep -- that you were afraid if Caylee`s remains were there, they would be ruined or scattered and would never be found. And boy, were you right, Tim Miller. You never made a better call in your life.

I live here in Orlando and have like most, been keeping up with all the details of this case. From day one I had the grim feeling that Caylee was dead. Now did I have that little bit of hope that in the tangled web of lies to this very bizarre twisted case that Caylee would turn up alive? Of course I did, as well as most keeping up with this case. I don't really know what the grandparents are going through and why they keep coming up with wild stories of what they think happened. I just wonder if they are trying to show their daughter Casey that they are on her side in hopes that she will give them a clue out of trust of what happened to Caylee. But now with the body of Caylee being found I really think that they have no choice but to face the facts. They will hopfully stay in private and mourn the loss of their granddaughter by the hands of their own daughter and from this point be helpful in solving the rest of this case. As far as the comment made "Lindar" about the "stellar" investigation by the sheriff's department...just to let you know since you seem to lack the knowledge of this area. Most of that area is like a swamp, which really is the perfect place to hide a body because it is so hard to search an area like that. Just think for a moment of what it would be like to stand and “try” to walk in thick woods that sits in watery black muck around 1’ to 3’ deep. Someone could be standing in that thick black watery muck and be an inch away from a dead body that lies beneath and never know it. Now think of hundreds of areas like this in and around Orange County that Casey could have easily dumped her daughter’s lifeless body. Where would you have started? Only in that past few weeks has the rain free weather has allowed it to dry up enough to even see solid ground there. Even when they were trying to recover the body, for the first time in weeks it started to rain and in just a matter of minutes it was once again flooding that area. Thousands and thousands of miles have been searched by both volunteers and law enforcement for the past five months almost six months now. We spent several weekends volunteering in different search areas helping with the search. My husband and I both now have the full respect of what it takes when law enforcement has to look for a body in the woods here in Florida.

For all you freaking about the incest deal these are not wild speculative theories just made up, normal people arn't that sick, these are words straight from the mouth of monster casey anthony check the jesse grund interviews at one point casey claims to him she was molested by brother LA

I keep wondering what the evidence was they found that "absolutely"linked them to the house--something other than the trash bags and tape--it seems like it was something "absolute"--to quote LE. It's obvious it was quite evident--they found it quickly, and went to the house quickly. Any guesses? Right now, I'm thinking it was some of the dogs' hair stuck to the tape--remember they got the vacuum cleaners from the house? And "Zanny" had never been to their house, so how would her tape have had the Anthony's Yorkie's fur on it? Very sad stuff--you all echo my sentiments about this sad family.
--Edited by David Lohr to include: A source inside the ME's office say's they heard that clothing was found with the remains, but I have not been able to confirm that with a second source-

Becky M.
Tim Miller said himself last night on Nancy Grace that he DID search that same area while it was still underwater. In fact, he went on to say he lost a fourwheeler in that same area. And that area was not "pin pointed" by the Predator. It was NEAR a suggested area. I don't think it's fair to critize the law enforcement. They have spent so much time and so much resources on this case.
Posted by: alicia | December 12, 2008 at 05:35 PM
jaybird,
I don't know where I heard this, read this, saw this... but do you remember the shopping spree to Target just after the 16th? Lee indicated that he was concerned about the neatly organized receipts found in the black bag at Tony's house. He had given the receipts to Casey's attorney, and when they were returned he wasn't sure if all of them were there. Cindy would not release her credit card statements (and Target, Walmart, etc. always put all the items purchased on those statements, instead of VISA that will list $XX at Target, etc.)
I thought there was a purchase of two "Cross" necklaces, and one cross was seen on Casey before she went to a hearing or into/out of jail. I believe, in my heart of hearts, that she put the other one on the baby. LE raced to the house because since Casey was in jail, she could NOT have jewelry.
And if I'm wrong... I am sorry. I have an active imagination, at times.

Gracie--that's really good; I had forgotten about all of that. Hmmm, there may be all kinds of things in there--including the necklace. This case gets more interesting by the minute. It's such a terrible tragedy--I don't quite understand my fascination--except what makes a Casey? Who would do something like that--I mean we've seen heinous killers in the news before--but somene who can lie with no regard to how believeable it is? And then do things like the tatoo and the necklaces? I'm really interested now to see if she put a cross necklace on that baby's little body.

I am also intrigued by the pesticide tanks Michelle--wonder how they could possibly be linked? Hmmmmmmmm???
Posted by: jaybird | December 12, 2008 at 09:23 PM
Michelle, I got onto another blog and asked about the tanks. One of those bloggers thinks he heard briefly that pesticides might have been used to decompose the body faster? I asked about his source and he came back with a newsshow website, http://www.wftv.com I imagine that is pure speculation, but that's all we're doing anyway, right? Strange though, the pesticide tanks....
Posted by: jaybird | December 12, 2008 at 09:46 PM
Hmmm... jaybird.... let me give the pesticide cans a try.
Let's say the child met her end on the day Grandpa says he saw them before he left for work. Casey was intent on having "movie night" with her boyfriend, so she didn't want to be bothered with Caylee and would not give her mother the satisfaction of being "needed" to care for Caylee. Chloroform or Xanax (I still don't know how to spell that) was the handy babysitter, and she either over did it, or did it on purpose. At any rate, Caylee died.
Caylee's body was toted around, and once the first fly found the remains, Casey had to contend with a "smell" and flies. She used the pesticide to control them until she dumped the remains. The smell continued because of the leakage into the trunk mat/carpeting, and as fly eggs matured, more maggots emerged. More maggots = more flies = more pesticide. (I bet those cans of bug spray are on those receipts as well.)
Thoroughly cleaning the trunk, even trying to use gas/gas cans to mask the initial smell did nothing as it permeates the fibers. She "got rid of the smell" as she told her friend (remember the squirrels? remember the video of Caylee reading her favorite book? the book with the squirrel on the front!) by dumping the car near the smelliest thing she could find... the trash dumpster. She even took trash from Tony's house and put it in the trunk.
Since LE found the maggots, I am curious if there are specific tests they can do to see what the maggots lived on... specifically, had they ingested or absorbed (I have no clue how maggots eat) pepperoni or cheese or anything else.
I am like you, jaybird, just totally ensconced in this. Maybe in some way we are all just trying to do our small part "to help".
Gracie

I just wanted to comment on the duct tape.
Don't you guys think that Casey could have put the tape onto the child's body after it began decomposing and some fluids may have poured out of the mouth (causing the stain in the car)?
Posted by: Nancy Grace viewer | December 12, 2008 at 11:21 PM
If she wanted to have a 'movie' night with her boyfriend, why didn't she simply leave Caylee with her parents?
Posted by: nik | December 13, 2008 at 08:26 AM
Agreeing with Anna9!
Casey never wanted to have this Child , feeling she wasn't old enough to care for a child. Wanting to make plans for this Child to be given to her friend who couldn't conceive, should have been left up for Casey to decide, Not her Mother!
I will never agree what Casey did was ever right, she could have packed up leaving, and leaving that beautiful child with her Grandparents.
This here is so horrible! My heart and condolences go out to the GrandParents
Such a sweet happy beautiful little girl Yes, she is safe now living in heaven with the Angels.
Casey needs to rot in hell for being so selfish

I can't help but wonder where this bag will be tracked from. My guess, is that the bag came from, not the Anthony's home but from Tony's home. The bag of garbage in the trunk was odd. It's unusual for anyone to take a garbage bag from a home and put it in a trunk rather than a garbage can. There was a reason for this. There had to be. Even tony himself stated that he noticed the items inside the garbage bag in her trunk looked like his garbage. He also stated it was a mystery as to why she would have put his garbage in her trunk. She could have taken his garbage and switched bags easily..What do you think?

to stacy c: thanks for describing that, i have never been to florida and cannot imagine the area. I am guessing that this water was already there when the body was "tossed"...(oh, how i hate saying that)...
also, its funny how everyone here will say everything that comes out of casey's mouth is a lie, (which is correct) yet, you will believe her when she is most likely crying wolf to some man (for pity) about being abused by family members. These incest statements are a joke. and those of you who truly believe that simply enjoy drama and want to get pleasure off of someone's pain. (caylee's) And blaming the family, again, you just want to add more drama to this sad case, give it up already. Seriously!

she'll never tell..the nanny dumped the body for her not paying her babysitting fees..think z would have stopped babysitting when she was owed only a hundred dollars or so, don't ya think?that will be her story now. kidnapped, then murdered by zg for unpaid services. i see the wheels turning in jose head!! watch out zg. i can see why the anthonys have had such a hard time admitting their daughter could do something and standing beside her, ..i would defend either of my 2 sons to the very end, until they put it right in my hands for me to see. that's what mothers do..well except mothers like casey. my heart goes out to them. i expect to see george dead from the stress, he knew. i could see it in his eyes, it's a parent thing. i could see it but couldn't except it for the absolute fear of what it meant. i feel for them. r.i.p. sweet baby girl. you truly were loved. just not by some.

BeckyM -
If you or yours ever need law enforcement, better hope they are as dedicated as our Orange County deputies. The place the remains were found is under knee-deep, brown, moccasin infested water until the dry season. Even Equusearch pulled out because they knew that, with negative visibility, they could damage evidence.
You have no idea of the absolutely golden investigative work that was done here. The public seldom does.
It's so easy to sling mud at the police, deride them as stupid, but I notice that doesn't seem to keep anyone from calling on us when they need us.
Thanks for appreciating the people who keep you safe.

The first thing I have to say is, people who defend Cindy and George's behavior are entitled to their opinion, but so are those who believe they are enablers as well as glory hounds or something.
George, being an ex-law enforcement person (Who one day proclaims to detectives that "I don't wanna believe my daughter is capable of killing her own daughter" or "I know the smell of a decomposing body-"Once you've smelled that odor, you never forget it") flip flops and suddenly starts talking about my daughter ran over a squirrel or something. Come on!!
Cindy, tells anyone who'll listen how messed up and demented her daughter is and ("Today we found my daughters' car and it smells like a damn dead body was in it!) switches up and tells people how great Casey is and she only had a rotten pizza in the truck, you know how hot it gets out here? Come on!!
I keep hearing about Book deals? Movie deals? Nobodies working these days except Lee apparently. Money gotta come from somewhere. I find it almost impossible to believe with all the totally ridiculously stupid lies that Casey told that her ex-cop dad or nurse mom would completely believe her... Come on!!

I believe that these are in fact Caylee's remains and I also believe that Casey killed her, I don't know if it was intentional or not that is for a jury to decide but what I do believe is that Cindy knew after the fact and tried to help Casey cover it up. I do not believe that George or Lee knew anything about it,their grief seems so genuine to me. I think that Casey is a psychopath just like her mother. This girl has been hardwired from conception to be just like her mother and that's why they can't get along because they are mirror images of each other. Every time you turn around Cindy is lying,Casey is lying and George and Lee seem to be looking for a glimmer of hope that the feeling in the pit of their stomach is wrong. Every time Goerge and Lee were interviewed they seemed so worried that Caylee was dead, every time Cindy or Casey are interviewed they try to explain away every question that is asked of them and blame anyone they can think of to get Casey off of the hook. I can't imagine how poor Caylee has been a pawn in their constant battles using her as leverage. If Casey wanted to give Caylee up for adoption and Cindy was against it why didn't George and Cindy adopt little Caylee and let Casey go out and make it in the world on her own and give Caylee a stable home life. They were already paying for everything for Caylee as well as providing her with the majority of love and caring in her life so why not adopt her so Casey can't threaten to take her away from them just to get her way. I have a 16 year old daiughter and a 12 year old son and every day that we turned on the tv or viewed the internet they prayed as well as I did that Caylee would be ok and be found alive,we didn't think she would but we held out hope, I can understand how the family has held out hope. I pray that I am never in this postion but if I ever am I wouldn't care more about upsetting my grown child than the life of my two year old grandchild, none of us knows what is in another human beings mind so we can never know that our own child is not capable of the same thing,no matter how they are raised. I also find it inconceivable that Casey was able to fool all of the people in her life for so long, how do you not know that she isn't going to work,is stealing everything you own and has no reason to have a nanny because she has no job. I would like to know where Caylee was when Casey was telling everyone that Caylee was with the nanny and she was definately not with her grandparents, God knows what was going on in Caylee's life during that time and regardless if Caylee was kidnapped or Casey killed her,how do you go on with your life as if nothing happened and now you know just what Casey thought of her daughter, she is found duct taped and wrapped in a garbage bag and tossed away like you would throw away a used napkin. I hope when they have proof that Casey killed her her life is treated with the same regard when/if she is introduced into general population,we all know how inmates feel about child killers.

I do know that if you spray Malathion on a deceased animal/human that it inhibits the initial infestation of flies that decends on a body within a matter of minutes/hours and can keep them from depositing for about a week if it is sprayed in high doses, that could move the timeline of the death back by a week or more so that Casey could have an alibi. Also since she researched cloroform maybe that's how it was mixed, I don't know if the recipes were for chloroform in bulk or not but that could be another reason why the sprayers were taken. I still am amaze at the fact that Casey said several times that in her gut Caylee was close to home, that was an understatement on her part, I also believe that the cadavar dogs were correct when they hit in the backyard, I believe that the backyard was Caylee's original grave site. I hope that the detectives find all of the evidence they need to turn over to the prosecutors to have the strongest case possible. Rest in Peace Caylee.

An Irish prayer For Caylee Marie Anthony
Do Not Stand at My Grave and Weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there... I do not sleep.
I am the thousand winds that blow...
I am the diamond glints on snow...
I am the sunlight on ripened grain...
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you waken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of gentle birds in circling flight...
I am the soft star that shines at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry—
I am not there... I did not die...

re the pesticide tanks... I believe Casey had the remains of little Caylee in a garbage bag both temporarily in the backyard of her parents house as well as the trunk of her car. I believe the bag became infested and she used the pesticide to kill whatever was crawling around in the bag. I believe the bag had some pesticide residue and LE is hoping to match that residue to the substance in the tanks...

Gracie hit the nail on the head...I believe that is exactly what happened to little Caylee. This whole story is so terribly sad. Casey will NEVER admit to doing this. I hope she gets whats coming to her.

What I don't understand is how the grandparents didn't know that she didn't have a nanny. If Cayle had been going to her for 2 years she would have chatted about the nanny. Also they would have had some kind of contact with the nanny especially cause Casey relied on them for assistance all of the time! The grandparents had to have known something was not right and continued to leave Cayle in that situation. How much could they have loved the child to let this go on?
