Caylee Anthony Search is Suspended
November 09, 2008

The search for Casey Anthony's missing 2-year-old daughter, Caylee Anthony, has been suspended. According to Tim Miller, he has done everything in his power to locate Caylee and there is nothing more he can do.
"I don't think Caylee will ever be found," Miller told Investigation Discovery. "We have done all that we can do. We have thoroughly searched every inch of the targeted areas. Unfortunately, there is only one person who can bring this to an end and she's not talking."
It is unfortunate that the search for Caylee is over; however without any new leads or information there is little more that can be done. Everyone here is sad to be leaving – may hugs and tears have been exchanged – but in the end we all know that they put their best foot forward. Perhaps in the future something new will come of this case. In the mean time, Caylee will remain on our thoughts and in our hearts.
Meanwhile, Texas EquuSearch will be breaking down the command post tomorrow, at which time they will head to North Carolina to conduct joint searches for Kelly Currin Morris, Jennifer Rivkin, Mouy Tang and Jamie Michelle Fraley.
Jamie Michelle Fraley, 22, was last seen on April 8, 2008, at her apartment on Lowell Bethesda Rd in Gastonia, North Carolina. She has not been seen or heard from since.
Kelly Currin Morris, 28, is a mother of two who went missing from her Stem, N.C., home on Sept. 3, 2008.
Mouy Tang, 45, was last seen on Sept. 3, 2008. She was living in an assisted living home for when she reportedly got up and walked away. Mouy is in need of her diabetic medicine, which she is supposed to take four times a day.
Jennifer Rivkin, 43, was last seen on May 4, 2008. Her car was found at The Winners Circle Bar and Grill with her purse, drivers license and make-up bag in it.
I feel terrible that there was no resolution to the Caylee search this weekend. I wish I could have brought you better news today, but that was not to be. This is one of those cases that will continue to haunt me.
*UPDATE* - Tim is now saying the search might continue again in the future. It is unknown if or when that might happen.
*Update 2 - I have just been informed that EquuSearch has decided to continue to search for Caylee Anthony tomorrow while they break down the command center for the North Carolina trip. Volunteers are still welcome and encouraged to come out and look for Caylee during that time.

thanks to TES and the many volunteers and supporters for trying. Thanks, David, for keeping us informed.

God Bless TES, Tim Miller, and all those who supported and volunteered their time and money to help find Caylee. David, you have done an excellent job at keeping everyone informed. I am very sad that little Caylee was not found. When I think of the gas cans I can't help but think that maybe there is nothing left of Caylee to be found. God be with you little one.

I am so sorry, I as so many was hoping that little Caylee would be found and finally laid to rest. I guess it is not to be. I hope her Mother Casey Rots in Jail. Thank you for the updates David.

How can you be posting this information without allowing Tim the respect to atleast hold his Press Confrence and debriefing first?
-Edited by David Lohr to include: my information was not posted until the press conference. I held that information for that reason. Although, i am not sure why it really matters what outlet releases it first.-
How dare you have TES pay you to sit around and dish out negativity about them. You should be donating to them.
- Edited by David Lohr to include: TES does not pay me anything. I did not say anything negative about them. I reported the facts. They did a great job. -
I have absolutely no respect for you or your type of "journalism" or lack there of. You sir are a shame to this search, and I hope that you are banned from future searches.
May God have mercy on your greedy soul.
-Edited by David Lohr to include: I know who you are and I know why you posted this. Nonetheless, everyone who reads this site knows that what you are saying is untrue-

I have been following this case from canada it breaks my heart that they had no luck finding the child. There has to be someone out there that knows something. If so how do you sleep at night.I was praying they would find the sweet thing so she my be put to rest

David, I do appreciate you.... I am confused I guess. I thought that the search would be longer than 2 days. My heart is broken over this little girl. I wish I could be there to search, however I have a 16 month old son and we live too far away. All I could do is donate money to TES which I did. Do you have any idea why people in the area do not search on their own??? I hate thinking the little girl is out there in the woods. It's more than I can stand. I guess I had high hopes of her being found and am sad that TES is pulling out again.

David, I don't know who mary is but she has a huge nerve saying that crap. I appreciate so much the work you have done and the fair coverage of this tragic situation. Thank you for spending your time trying to help and for giving us such accurate info.

David...clearly something happened here. This search was abruptly truncated. You don't bring together thousands of volunteers only to send them home after forty-eight hours.
What is the true story here?

I just heard that Leonard Padilla is not leaving, he said divers were coming tomorrow. LP is searching the Blanchard Park area which he feels has not been thoroughly searched. I do recall that on NG LP said he had a gut feeling that Caylee would be found on Monday. Please let this be so.

Many thanks to all the searchers, especially Tim Miller and TES, and to Discovery and David Lohr for making it possible for us to read the unvarnished truth about this massive undertaking.
Thanks to AngyOne for zero, nada, zilch, nuttin'.

I still believe Caylee will be found. I am wondering now if Casey put Caylee in the lake or pond or whatever water is there with those alligators. God, I hope not! I honestly thought Casey would tell where Caylee is because she would be afraid that she would be found. Evidentally, she's not afraid of anything and she knows/thinks Caylee won't be found. We serve a mighty God and His Word says in Matthew 10:26 that what has been hidden will be revealed. We've just had a new lead, after thirteen years about my daughter, Heather's whereabouts. Let's still hold hands and hearts across the miles in prayer, believing that Caylee will be found!

Hi All- I too have been following this case from the beginning. Caylee has indeed become americas little sweetheart and I pray they find her. My fear is that casey after killing her, burned her little body up and buried the ashes. I hope not. whats your take on this.

The Kelly Currin Morris link doesn't go the TES site, it goes to a page exactly like this except titled differently.
Figured you'd want to know.

Hey David,
Why is this angry person acting like this? It is very unsat! Your site is great! Thanks for posting what you know!
-Edited by David Lohr to add- some of the people on another board were mad about the time stamp on my post. They thought I released the info before Tim announced it. That is not true. I typed it early and saved it as a draft. Right before the conference Tim gave me permission to post it live. When I published, the time shown was when I had done my draft and not the actual post time. It should be obvious Tim gave me the permission, otherwise I would not be here with him now. -

David, thank you so much for anything and everything you have and will continue to do for Caylee.
You are certainly my favorite journalist and have been long before this tragedy.
I was in another room today, when you jumped in and asked for help getting the word out that TES needed food and water. This is not something a good journalist would do, merely something a good human being would do. Your heart is in the right place, and I appreciate clear, accurate reporting from you.
Thank you again!

I was just wondering with all the time that has passed how would anyone be able to tell if caylee was buried? the ground wouldn't look disturbed by this time and she is so little and who's to say if Casey didn't burn as much of poor Caylee before she buried her to begin with. I just don't see how they anyone would be able to tell if a child was buried somewhere if the ground didn't look disturbed

God Bless you all for all you are doing.
I am very upset with Casey, not only because she isn't talking and torturing her poor parents but also because of her silence EquuSearch has wasted precious time that could have been spent searching for other missing people! I know it's not politically correct but maybe in her case torture would be in order. Sorry, I know it's wrong of me to say so. I am also praying for poor Caylee!

tell casey that her boyfriendTONY told all and he will be prosocuted. maybe she will then get upset .For the sex of a boyfriend she got rid of her child. lET her know someone is ratting on HER. I THINK THE ANSWER IS WITH TONY.

I'm sorry they didn't find anything, but let's be realistic: when have these type of searches found evidence or bodies? It's rare. Also, the software used to suggest locations is new and as far as I can tell from the website, does not have a track record of any kind.
Sure it would have been great (for the trial) to find evidence. But what is the likelihood? Very slim indeed.

Hopefully Caylee will be found. If her mother killed her, then she will deal with that for the rest of her life and when all this is said and done, if she is guilty may she rot in jail

Hi David, fantastic job covering little Caylee's disappearance. TES and all the volunteers are wonderful for dedicating their time and resources to search for Caylee....however...I am sad to see the search called off after only 2 days! Tim Miller and Leonard Padilla have been talking about this search for the past month, and yet, gave up so quickly. I understand Tim's concerns with funding and other missing persons that need his help, but he publicly stated on Nancy Grace several times that he wouldn't give up until Caylee was found. Why the change of heart so many times? This doesn't help the prosecution either, and now Cindy and George will continue to say Caylee is alive....goodness, when will Caylee be found?

Qucik note to all-
David bashing is undeserved. David was asked to hold out until the start of the pressconf and he did.
Let's support our friend to TES please.

Caylee's grandparents who did not participate in the search at all suddenly showed up Monday - angry with Bounty Hunter Padilla. He found beads and a cross which looked like a memorial to the dead. The grandparents came there to confront him. This means to me that he was extremely close to Caylee's remains, and the grandparents know exactly what happened. They were there to protect their daughter. The grandfather is former FBI and he knows the child is dead. My guess was that Casey told Lee, and Lee told the parents just recently. I live in Central Florida and non-Floridians do not realize that the undeveloped land here is very wild, and you could probably hide a dead baby elephant for years, never mind a small half cremated child.
We had another missing child, Trenton Duckett whose mom took him into the Ocala National Forest never to be found again. She did us all a favor by comitting suicide the next day after Nancy Grace questioned her.
I just hope the prosecution has enough evidence to convict Casey Anthony.

I believe they should go to the jail and tell Casey Anthony the body has been found while taping her expression and questioning her. Whats the slim possiblity she would break???
Posted by: Leesa | November 11, 2008 at 09:12 PM
For the life of me, I can't see why Casey hasnt bessn put to death. Her parents are upholding her and that is a p@@@ poor shame. This has went on way to long. Casey should have to suffer as did her baby. Like OJ I think Casey should get the death penalty.
