The Search for Caylee Anthony, Jennifer Kesse and Kelly Morris
October 13, 2008
I just received a call from Tim Miller, the founder and director of Texas EquuSearch, regarding the searches for Caylee Anthony, Jennifer Kesse and Kelly Morris.
In regard to the search for Caylee and Jennifer, Tim said that the conditions in Orlando, Florida, are not favorable at this time to continue those searches. Waters in the search areas remain high and the vegetation has not yet started to die off. As a result, both of those searches have been postponed until the first or second week of November.
For those of you not familiar with the Jennifer Kesse case, she is a 27-year-old woman who was last seen in Orlando on Jan. 24, 2006.
In related news, Jennifer's mother, Joyce Kesse, has allegedly signed a petition that was started to stop the Anthony family from profiting from an alleged movie deal. The message that is attributed to Joyce reads in part:
"Please DO NOT pay one cent for this reported upcoming movie. This is the most bizarre of all missing person's cases. The multitude of lies, mistruths etc is insulting to those of us with missing children, who do everything we can to find our children. Our daughter, Jennifer Kesse, age 24, abducted on January 24, 2006 from Orlando, with the Orlando Police Dept. as lead investigators, remains missing. This case will ultimately desensitize our communities when the next child goes missing due to this families actions or shall I say, lack of pro-activeness."
Meanwhile, Tim Miller said that EquuSearch is headed to North Carolina to organize a search for Kelly Morris, a 28-year-old mother of two who went missing from her Stem, N.C., home on Sept. 3, 2008. I will be flying there on Thursday morning to cover the case and will be posting updates here. I will remain in the area until Sunday night. I don't often share my gut feelings, but in this particular case I have a strong feeling that something will be found during the search.
For more information on these cases please visit the following links:

If you would like to participate in the Kelly Morris search, be sure to check back again later, as I will be posting details on the location of the command post.

Thank you so much for your column and for keeping us informed.
Regarding the Caylee Anthony case, has anyone attempted to search the garbage dump where the trash from the Amscot dumpster would be deposited? I know it must be a huge undertaking, but what with Casey's car running out of gas in that parking space next to the dumpster, and with the forensic tests indicating that a body was in the trunk, it seems like a logical place to search for said body would be in that garbage dump.
Can you tell us if authorities have investigated this at all?

Thanks for the update. Godspeed searchers.

I think it is AWFUL that Mrs. Kesse would involve herself in a negative capacity in the Anthony's case. It is as if SHE has judged Casey and the entire family along with Nancy Grace and the rest of the idiots out there who do not believe in our justice systems. I would think that she of all people would understand a few things. Maybe she just as this amazing "classy" ability to deal with a tragedy of this nature, but as far as I am concerned, she has NO RIGHT TO JUDGE. If she truly wanted to help little children and the missing, she would be silent on this families tragedy and deal with her own. For her to suggest that the Anthony's could taint or desensitize people from helping in other causes is horrid.
As far as I'm concerned the Kesse's are WEAK butt kissers of any and everyone, even the lowest of society "begging" for help if you want to start judging others. She is right in their saying "Caylee is dead, don't you know that stupid" along with everyone else which is a frontal assault on this family.
Why doesn't she accept the fact that her daughter is dead too then. She is probably a pile of bones under some expressway while she thinks she was "taken" because she is beautiful and is being trafficked in 3rd world countries which is equally if not more ridiculous than the "stories" being told or believed by the Anthony's of their baby.
Jennifer was likely carjacked and killed and her body disposed and the OCSO just didn't have the manpower to follow up on finding a body or the facilities or funding to investigate a dead body case and no perpetrator. The "person of interest" was probably some joker who was a part of it and no one will talk because the people who did it live RIGHT THERE in the BAD NEIGHBORHOOD which everyone want's to believe is "upscale".
Both of these cases are people who have a missing loved one who will NOT FACE THE TRUTH of the possibility that that loved one might be dead. All of a sudden the Kesse's believe Jennifer is dead and jump on the band wagon chant "she's dead stupid, she's dead, you liar". Shame on you. I thought those were the people that were so filled with HOPE.

I strongly believe that the Anthony family is being maligned based on a few sound bytes and behaviors that we don't understand because we haven't been in such a difficult position. No one can say how they would act given the circumstances. It would be so much easier to search if the child was missing within the day or two - but given that 31 days had passed - where do you suggest they start looking? It would be just too hard to know what to do.
Hopefully Tim Miller and his group will return and find what they are looking for.

I agree with Jennifer Keese's mom. It must be excruciatingly tough for her to have to watch all the attention this Anthony case is getting while her daughter's case in Orlando remains unsolved and largely unpublicized.
Just another reason why Cindy Anthony is a disgrace. She knows what happened; she knows Caylee is dead; she has realized Casey did it; but she is unwilling to admit it because she is so desperate to try to have the nation's sympathy as a distraught grandmother of a MISSING child.
Sorry, Cindy, you are insulting all families of actual missing children. You deserve the nation's scorn that you and your child-killing daughter are receiving.

Yes, the dumpster and the contents (gps) have been searched and re searched.

Bonnie,
Thanks for your response, but I'm actually asking if the GARBAGE DUMP where the dumpster's contents would be deposited has been searched.
I'm assuming that the dumpster would have already been emptied between the time that the car was abandoned there and the time police found about it to search it.

Loretta's post was misguided, and I am being kind.
This is a free country, and Mrs. Kesse has the right to speak out about any dang thing she chooses to. Further, as the legitimate victim of a missing child, she has the moral and ethical high ground to lambast the Anthonys, a family enjoying the financial fruits of a dead child. Those dollar bills are soaked in blood.
Mrs. Kesse is right when she says that people like the Anthonys desensitize missing child cases; it's just like women who falsely cry "rape" for revenge or attention hurt every other true rape victim. It's a good analogy and an accurate one.
Mrs. Kesse, please continue to speak out and our hearts and prayers are with you and your daughter. Don't let ignorance silence you.

I wish you guys luck in North Carolina!!!
Posted by: Dan | October 13, 2008 at 06:09 PM
Mrs. Kesse is absolutely correct.
How DARE the Anthonys play the Missing Child Game when there are so many families out there who truly need help, and are willing to help the authorities find their children.
Let's hope and pray that the public continues to view this case as it is: a family who is enabling their daughter to continue evading law enforcement, a baby that most likely is deceased and left alone for her body to deteriorate, a desperate attempt by this family to portray a positive public persona, at all costs.
To be taking donations while at the same time refusing to cooperate with law enforcement is sickening.

I applaud Joyce Kesse and proudly stand with her!
She is right about this 110%!!
No one in this family should make one dime from this precious child's disappearance.
Please join with me in praying for our law enforcement men and women who deal with unspeakable evil everyday.
They need our support and prayers.

Mindy, If we had emoticons here, I would insert one that looks puzzled as all getout.
If you're referring to the post by yourawful(your awful what? Inquiring minds want to know!), then I agree. YA seems to not only interpret Mrs. Keese's comments in the most negative light, but to be a second-rate mind reader too. I'm flummoxed that anyone would take issue with Joyce Keese's remarks.

NC welcomes you David and I hope there can be closure for the family of Kelly Morris. I am doing my best to ignore Loretta's comments, but I have to say the comments were mean, cruel, heartless and an insult to ALL parents whose children are missing. Nobody wants to be told they are "weak butt kissers" whose child is "probably a pile of bones under some expressway". There are millions of missing persons out there who are not getting the media attention that the Caylee Anthony case is getting, which must be very hurtful to those families. I can understand why Mrs. Kesse is upset...her daughter is also missing and nobody is searching for her.
Anyway, prayers are with you and all of the volunteers David.
hugs,

Don't get your hopes up about the dress found by the airport today. My son is a very large two and a half year old and he is only wearing up to a size 3T. Maybe I'm wrong, but a size 6 would be way to big.
Secondly, I really wish TX EquuSearch would just keep looking despite the weather and ground conditions, time is of the essence. Evidence is deteriorating and I am sick of hearing from Cindy how "Casey" is a victim in this. I don't know how many victims on a "search" for their missing child go out to night clubs dancing and furthermore not even tell any one that her child is missing for a whole month.
Come on Cindy, let's inject a little common sense and a little reality here. I suppose you are going to blame George when Casey is indited tomorrow as well...God help you all get through this.
Posted by: Youknowwho | October 13, 2008 at 09:11 PM
Amy,
The trucks that pick up at the dumpster has a gps locator and the dumpster was searched and the dump itself. The gps tells them exactly where that dumpster was dumped and they searched it. I just heard on NG that a dress was found by one of the searchers. It is size 6 Disney/Mickey Mouse that Caylee was known to have one like it. That may be the only link with Universal but it was found near the airport. I still say the body is on Universal property.
Posted by: Bonnie | October 13, 2008 at 09:15 PM
David,
Have you heard anything regarding that white plastic bag that George Anthony found that was thrown into the tow yard dumpster? The man from the towing yard called police and in his statement he tried to find it after he realized Caylee was missing and police claimed they already retrieved it.
It had to be significant because remember when Cindy said there were maggots in the pizza boxes? Well if those maggots were visible and the cops retrieved the bag with the supposed pizza boxes they would surely have maggots to sort of pinpoint a time of death right? Just wondering if you think this is a hidden piece of evidence they haven't yet disclosed.

Angela,
I believe the police have the white trash bag. In reading the first dump of discovery docs, I saw a white trash bag on one of the evidence forms and it said it was collected from the Amscot dumpster. There is probably evidence from inside this bag that LE is not sharing yet.
Posted by: Debra | October 13, 2008 at 11:32 PM
JENSPAL, I wonder about that size six dress being too large also.
Wait. You didn't post that, Youknowwho did. Because comments are signed below, not above the post.
RE: Tim's not searching in poor conditions; my understanding is that he doesn't want to destroy evidence. Which is being responsible.

Justice for Caylee....Casey/Cindy/George & Lee MUST be held accountable!!!!
Posted by: Jill from Western Australia | October 14, 2008 at 06:12 AM
The one thing that ticks me off the most about Casey Anthony, is she has no idea what she is putting other parent through. The ones who really do not have any idea where their child is, and pray everyday to just have closure. Casey knows what happened to Caylee, and that is why she lied about it all.
I just wish, she understood what it was like to really have a child missing and not knowing where she is. Trust me, if she did, she would not be at target writing bad checks, she would be walking the streets looking everywhere for her child.

Also, whatever happened to the PHOTO Casey and them have with Zani, Casey, and Caylee. If such photo is real, wouldn't they put that out there so we can all see this Zani and see if we know her as someone else, like maybe Casey Anthony?

Thanks Mindy; my aim is to be considered a victims' rights advocate; it was my vocation and avocation before becoming a full-time slacker. Mrs. Keese is truly a victim and has every right to express her opinion from a point of view that few of us can fathom. Unlike Casey, who is (IMO) a victim of bad psychological makeup and over-indulgent parents, whose doting and negligence seem to be at the heart of this matter.
tehee Ardra, yourawful should spend less time on the internet and more time learning to conjugate verbs.

To Your Awful...
Have you ever had one of your friends or family members missing? Have you ever stepped up to search for a missing person? Have you ever taken the time out of your life to get to know the family of a missing person?
IMHO, until you have either gone through the traumatic nightmare of not knowing where your loved one is; searched for a missing person; or gotten to know a missing person's family, you are completely out of line.
How dare you bash a family who actually has done EVERYTHING for their daugthter. The Kesse's have actually been on searches, standing on street corners, knocking door to door looking for information leading to their daughter. They do not attack media about coverage that is provided to them. They do not attack organization's that are willing to help them search and find their missing daughter.
Yes, the Kesse's have hope- they have hope because that is what keeps them strong. They also have hope because NOTHING of Jennifer's has been found to date besides her car. No clothes, no shoes, no jacket, no purse, no phone, no ipod, no jewlery... nothing!
The Kesse Family has also stepped up along with Hillary Sessions to get the Missing Person Laws in Florida enhanced. Now, requirements for a missing person's report in every jurisdiction in the state are uniform... police are required to take a missing persons report within 2 hours of a person being reported missing. Now, Law Enforcement has to pay attention to people of all ages, not just kids.
I for one commend the Kesse Family and feel that they are truly an inspiration for what this society needs- people who care. They are trying to make a difference for missing persons of all ages, genders and races. It doesn't matter who you are or where you come from- its about awareness.

TALLAHASSEE -- The family of Jennifer Kesse is being honored in the state capital Monday for their work in getting a new law passed.
Jennifer Kesse disappeared two years ago. She never showed up for work, and her car was found days later about a mile from her Orlando condominium.
Jennifer's parents, Drew and Joyce Kesse, helped get a new law passed that mandates DNA analysis after a person has been missing for at least 90 days.
Drew and Joyce Kesse are being honored by Gov. Charlie Crist as part of Florida Missing Persons Day.

YOU are as bad as the people we fear! How could you post this to the Kesse Family after what they have been through.
Casey Anthony has lied and has not helped in any way to find her child! Why does one lie? Because they are guilty and have something to hide!
Losing a child in any way is a mothers worst fear. I pray every night that your children will return safely.

This message goes to Loretta. You have so much anger in your words. You say these families should not judge but look at you, all your doing is judging. I think Mrs. Kesses has the right to be upset with the fact that the Anthony's may make money off a movie. Only parents who have missing children understand the grief and heartache that comes along with it.
As far as Caylee, I truly believe that her disapearance has something to do with the people she was hanging out with. the "new friends", the trip to Puerto Rico she was suppose to go on. I believe drugs played a part in this and I also believe she has justified her actions in her daughters death. Someone else knows what happened and will eventually crack..watch anyone with a conscious will soon speak!

Jennifer Kesse will be honored with safety event
A community safety event is planned at the Mall of Millenia on Jan. 24, the third anniversary of the disappearance of Orlando resident Jennifer Kesse.
The Jennifer Kesse Beacon of Hope for the Missing event will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the mall's lower-level community rooms.
Orange County Sheriff's Office will attend for fingerprint and video identification of children.
Other participants will conduct children's self-defense demonstrations.
Kesse was 24 when she vanished Jan. 24, 2006 near her condominium at The Mosaic at Millenia Condominiums in south Orlando.
Her case attracted national attention and remains unsolved.
This is the second time the family is marking the day she disappeared with a community event.

New tip in Kesse case comes from confessed murder

Jennifer Kesse has been missing for three years. There have been very few clues concerning her disappearance.
But two weeks ago the lawyer for a convicted killer contacts Drew Kesse, Jennifer’s father. While its not unusual for Kesse to get tips the latest came from a man involved ina high profile murder of a Central Florida woman...

Confessed murderer meets with Jennifer Kesse's father
A deck of playing cards featuring the unsolved case of missing Orlando woman Jennifer Kesse led to a meeting between her father and a confessed murderer.
David Byron Russ met face-to-face with dad Drew Kesse in Seminole County jail to pass on tips about the case, Kesse said Tuesday. Russ told the father during the December meeting that a playing card with information about Jennifer Kesse got him thinking about her disappearance...

Jennifer Kesse case I have investigated and reconstructed with the same type of information on the 'person of interest'. Richard knows this and thanks me as LE.
It is my view that Jennifer never left the apartment and is still insitu, still hidden because of the events that transpired as opportunism. Clearly, the perpetrators are of a criminal fraternity that had become part of that group in that complex.
To find her there is only time and much thought on industrial archaeology by going to the planners who made the changes. There was no abduction, she like the Fred West case was in her own home and was not seen after in a multiple housing unit under reconstruction. The POI was a red herring for the known cameras as hispanic origins in my view.

J E N N I F E R K E S S E
Jennifer Kesse's severed skeletal head will be found in a sewer or water run off tunnel-like area, under the earth, man made, water running, rock embankments on both sides, dark and damp.
When the head is found, the discoverer will be able to see bright sunlight at the end of the tunnel leading out.
The skull will be found on the far end of the tunnel, on the right hand side.
The facial cavatiy will be facing inward, and will look like a rock, which will first be overlooked during searches. The skull has green, slimey plant material growing on the back side, and is perfectly set to look like the surrounding rocks.
Jen was abducted from her home.
Rumor will have it, it was her mouth that got her into trouble.
God speed for the closure of this case, and peace be with the family.
P.S. Do not post. Not for entertainment purposes.
Someday, you will owe me now two apologies.
