There have been some new developments in the case of Casey Anthony and her missing 2-year-old daughter, Caylee Anthony.

On Tuesday, Anthony was arraigned on charges of first degree murder, aggravated child abuse, aggravated manslaughter and four counts of lying to investigators. Anthony had already entered a written "not guilty" plea, so she was not required to be present during the proceeding.

Judge Stan Strickland set Jan. 5 as the opening day for Anthony's trial. If convicted, Anthony could face life in prison or the death penalty.

Also on Tuesday, 1700 pages of new evidence were released. The documents include 4200 tips that investigators have received in Caylee's case. The tips mostly consist of alleged sightings and visions from self-proclaimed psychics.

Meanwhile, reports are surfacing today that Scott Peterson, a California death-row inmate who was convicted in 2005 of killing his wife, Laci Peterson, and their unborn child, has allegedly been writing to Anthony at the Orange County Jail. A spokesperson for the facility will not comment on the reports; however Todd Black, a spokesman for Anthony's attorney, Jose Baez, has openly denied the claim. 

As previously reported, Texas EquuSearch is gearing up for a second search for Caylee, set to begin on November 8.  According to a spokesperson for the organization, they are currently looking for a place to set up their command post.

Earlier today, EquuSearch provided Investigation Discovery with a copy of the volunteer sign up form that they will be passing out to participants. People interested in helping search for Caylee should fill out the form and bring it with them to the command post.

In related news, Caylee Anthony's uncle, Lee Anthony, is allegedly opposed to EquuSearch's involvement in the case. Yesterday, Lee allegedly sent an email to a group of EquuSearch supporters that read in part:

"In regards to Caylee Anthony, do not let that influence your support of this group as they have done NOTHING to help find this little girl.  She is alive and they are wasting time and money to support a system that is failing a missing 3 year old girl and her loved ones.  Don't even get me started on Tim Miller personally."

Investigation Discovery has asked Lee for comment but as of this writing he has yet to respond.

Lee is apparently not the only one angry with EquuSearch. Earlier today, Todd Black allegedly sent out a fax about Anthony's alleged correspondences with Scott Peterson and EquuSearch's involvement in the search for Caylee. That fax read in part:

"Casey Anthony and family members have maintained that Caylee is alive, which is why they have not participated in any search for remains. Authorities gave up on looking for Caylee, and have used the media to whip the public into a frenzy of hatred against Casey, making it all but impossible to get a fair trial. And insulting to any family who may suffer a missing child, the authorities refuse to mount an official search, and instead allow an out of state group to collect tens-of-thousands of dollars in a nationwide fundraising campaign, without a single accounting on where that money is going."

Considering Texas EquuSearch is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is required to keep books and records that detail all of their sources of revenue - records that by law are available to the public upon request - I find it curious that those accusing EquuSearch have not even bothered to obtain copies of those records. Apparently, we are expected to accept opinions and innuendos as fact.

As one of the recipients of Lee Anthony's e-mail, I can tell you that it really didn't shock me, although it did anger me. The family has continuously maligned Tim Miller and TES at every turn. There are so many familie that need and want the services of TES, and then there are the Anthony's - who need him, but won't admit it. Fortunately, Tim has not let their anger at him sway him in his determination to do all possible to bring Caylee home. It is not her fault that she is where she is, and Tim knows that she deserves to be found and brought home.

The flak is conjuring smoke and mirrors with a dog and pony show on the side. Some of what the media has reported may be tripe (like the Scott Peterson letter), but the fact is that what caused the anger or hatred of his client is not the media's fault (easy target, usual suspects), but rather his client's own behavior demonstrated (without filter) in tapes.
No one needed the media to comment on any of it, to come to some rather disturbing conclusions as to who she really is.

He is foolish to take aim at a revered organization that's sole purpose is to is to bring closure to anxious families. That seems to me an act just begging for more hatred in your client's direction. Misstep, Mr. Baez. Why mention TES at all? It only makes your client look more guilty.Why not allow them to look, if you feel that they won't find anything? Searching4theLost, I think many people would be interested in seeing the full email. In what context was this statement made? (the first sentence is so odd....) And what was the criteria for his email recipients? Such as: people who had contacted him, people who had donated to Help Find Caylee, people who attended vigils, people who have supported a missing children foundation?

To me, attacking Tim Miller is akin to a non-Christian attacking Mother Theresa. No matter what your beliefs are, there is nothing bad that can be said about either individual, and you only look like a fool for doing so.

Smearing Tim Miller and Texas Equusearch is not the right approach for the Anthony family, but I can understand why they are not eager to admit their grand daughter is not coming home.

I can only imagine what they are going through and the frustration they must feel. While I doubt they are involved, I think any parent, when faced with the likely reality of what has happened, will cling to whatever hope they have left rather than face the tragedy that has consumed them.

When you become a parent you learn the meaning of unconditional love, so when you have to deal with the fact that your child has done something so horrendous, it becomes almost schizophrenic, how do you continue to love your child in spite of what they have done? And so they fall back on what they know, the know their grand daughter could still be out there, despite the evidence to the contrary, and they know they have always loved and supported their daughter, which they continue to do.

They also know that if they find a body, Casey is never coming home.

Do not be angry with the family for lashing out at the people who are trying to help them. It's understandable given the reality of what they are faced with. The stress and fallout of this situation will have a lasting impact on the Anthony family, there are more victims here than Caylee.

I can't believe that SOB Lee Anthony had the nerve to talk badly about Tim Miller. Tim Miller is a man that lost his daughter Laura who was MURDERED in 1984 that's why he helps families in searching for their loved ones, because he understands their pain and suffering. I just thought of an additional way to prove that Casey is a total liar about her fake nanny. Those of us who work and use a childcare provider, know that the babysitter is tax deductible. All you need is receipts or cancelled checks and the sitter's social security number. If Casey used this sitter (as she claims) for almost two years, during any time that Casey actually worked (not lied and pretended to work), her income tax returns would have Zanni's name and SS number on it. All the Anthony family would need to prove Zanni's existence and trace where she had lived, would be her SS number. I read that the family has hired private detectives to find Caylee, and the detectives could certainly use this information to locate Zanni. This would also be proof to the police that Zanni existed. Since this has not happened, we (and the Anthony family) should conclude that there is no Zanni the Nanny.
By the way, Casey invented this imaginary nanny years before she killed her daughter. When she slept at a man's house, she told her parents that she and Caylee were spending the night with Zanni, probably to keep Cindy from protesting the fact that Caylee was dragged from one lover to another or the fact that she was drugged and maybe left in the car overnight. Casey even told a story that the imaginary Zanni had a car crash with her imaginary sister, Raquel (whose name later became Samantha), and was taken to the hospital with a concussion. There is no police record of the crash and, of course, no hospital records of Zanni on that date. Casey even claimed that she was in the car behind Zanni and Raquel driving with her friend from work, Juliette Lewis. The real Juliette Lewis is an actress, and no one named Juliette Lewis ever worked at Universal. I really think that all of these years of constant lies have confused her parents, and they really don't even know what to believe, especially not the awful truth.

Shame on Lee Anthony for sitting home on his computer emailing people asking them not to volunteer to help Equisearch. If he infact stated in the email that "Caylee is alive"....then I have one question..Why are you not out there looking for her? I would be searching from one end of the earth to the other if it were my child..or my sisters child. I read that they thought maybe Casey could have had an accomplice. Lee..why aren't you out there searching? Hmmmmm? Maybe Cindy is worried she might lose both of her kids along with Caylee. My heart goes out to the family members that truly loved this child. My sympathy is with George Anthony for having to have lived in that home with two dilusional women...and poor excuse for a son. Cindy, good daughters don't steal from their parents. Good mother's don't leave their babies with strangers and good Grandmother's that have their grand children living under their roof, know the names. addresses and phone numbers of babysitters. Good Uncles don't stand in the way of good people trying to help bring a missing child home. They would probably be willing to take a polygraph test too!

I'd like to know what Lee or the rest of the Anthony family is doing to try to find Caylee alive. Don't get Lee started on Tim Miller personally? What's that all about? Is the Anthony family mad that people are donating money to help EquuSearch instead of lining the Anthony's pockets so that they can continue to sit on their asses and say "Caylee's alive but we can't tell you where she is, or who's she with because [insert conspiracy theory here]."

It's interesting how a lot of people (myself included) had sympathy for the Anthony family, it's not always the parents fault when one of their kids turns out to be a monster, but the fact that they've decided to back this monster, and attack/slander the very people that are trying to help find Caylee is pretty sickening.

God Bless Caylee Marie Anthony and even her family, too. Whether little Caylee is living or passed away... i know this seems horrible to say but it seems she's got to be in a better place. I mean we can see how Cindy Anthony's spawn Casey grew up.... perhaps Caylee would have been even worse! Seems like she'd have the potential to be a mass murderer at the rate we're going if you take into consideration the behavior and antics of not just Cindy and Casey herself, but apparently the whole family! Again, May God in Heaven Bless Caylee Marie Anthony and keep her safe forever. Texas Equusearch helped our family search for my missing brother, John Glasgow, back in January of 2008. They were supportive of us in our time of need, and were most compassionate and professional. While they were in Arkansas looking for my brother, a series of tornadoes ripped the state, and Texas Equusearch suspended their search temporarily for my brother in order to help tornado victims. Texas Equusearch is needed and vital to families of missing persons. Do not let the negative posts on this message board sway you from support TE. They are the best! They did not find my brother after a most thorough and professional search. Ironically, no information BECOMES information. In other words, since John was not found, perhaps he is still alive, or if not, perhaps the fact that he was NOT found on the mountain where his car was found a clue that will allow us to eventually piece the puzzle together. Why does the Anthony family not want TE to search for Caylee, if they are so sure Caylee is alive? Obviously, if she is not found, their case for her being alive is strengthened. For Texas Equusearch NOT to find Caylee would be a valuable and helpful piece of information for the Anthony family. I don't get it. Please do support Texas Equusearch. They are an all-volunteer organization and they have helped so many grief-stricken families like mine. I feel sorry for the Anthony family. I can feel their pain because I have BEEN there. But why punish the other families of the missing that Equusearch helps in their time of greatest need?

I went to the TES site and donated $25.00. I did it because of Lee Anthony and Todd Black's idiotic rants. I hope and pray they find Caylee and give her the dignity she deserves, a decent resting place. I encourage everyone to donate if they can, even $5. I am certain that everyone considers the source here. If people support TES it takes money away from the Anthony's. If they find Caylee's body, then Casey is definitely convicted and the Anthony's cannot profit from the money raised selling pictures, stories, move rights, writing a book, etc. Casey will get what is coming to her. Even if they can't get her on the murder charges, she will get at least 5 years from all the fraud charges and her life is ruined anyway. As soon as the Anthony's questionable "fund Raising" methods come to light, they will have accounts set up for spending money at the Orange County Jail as well. TES WILL find Caylee and I will be there to help.

In regards to the Anthonys’ state of mind-
The number of people wanting to help find Caylee is mind boggling.

I think the Anthoneys thought there would be some people wanting to help out an innocent victim, ie. IT (Casey).
