Casey Anthony: "Not Guilty"
October 01, 2008
Casey Anthony's attorney, Jose Baez, has entered a not guilty plea on behalf of his client in response to her recent check fraud charges. According to the court docket, Anthony is scheduled for an arraignment on those charges later this month.
Meanwhile, the Orange County Sheriff's Office has officially changed Anthony's status from "person of interest" to "suspect" in the disappearance of her missing two-year-old daughter, Caylee Anthony.

Another day, another lie....

It's about time they have changed her status to suspect in Caylee's disappearance. I've been wondering if or when she is charged with homicide that she may finally tell the truth and especially tell where Caylee's body is, knowing that she is facing life in prison or the death penalty; one way or another she is going away for a very, very long time and all her partying is over and all her sex and playing games!!!!!

In the beginning of this ordeal I incorrectly thought that the police wouldn't have any 'evidence'. Thankfully, we live in such an age where secret words (which I'm assuming can and will be used against you) are preserved marvelously by the advent of technology. Now, I do not have time to read through everything as I would like to, and have only touched on bits and pieces. It would be so nice if you could put together an outline concerning every bit of the incriminating 'evidence' dialog, for people like me. Of course, it is going to be up to the jury to decide, but I would like to know what a potential jurorsuch as yourself is going to think when everything the detectives have been privy to thus far is exposed. Also, do you think there is enough of this 'evidence' to warrant a guilty verdict? Forgive the improper grammar; going on no sleep and no time to revise! Thanks again, David!

Maybe somebody can enlighten me. I know criminals plead guilty all the time (ie O.J.) but how in God's name does Baez and Casey have the nuts to plead not guilty to the fraud charges? EVERYONE knows she stole her friends checks. They have her on videotape at Bank of America and Target using the forged checks. Doesn't it make sense for them to try and work out some kind of deal on these charges at least? Obviously she will never win in court - this is not circumstantial evidence on the fraud charges - it's outright facts. Thoughts?

I seem where Casey had a vistor on July 24 from Patrick Bourgeois and also Frank Bourgeoius( he show has a no show on jail log). Does anybody have any information why out of the blue this guy wants to visit Casey and Jail?
I think this is very strange. I listen to tape and Casey said that she could not see his face.
any information would be great. also he mention a Michael Walker.:bang:

While listening and watching the last part of the Cindy III video, I noticed Cindy said as a nurse, she knows the smell of a dead body, but not the smell of a burned body....hum...I wonder why she would say that. Does she think Caylee's body was burned?
Posted by: J. Ramsey | October 01, 2008 at 11:57 PM
Well, I suppose they could argue that she was "borrowing" them, that she was given permission and then the person changed their mind, or maybe it will go with her insanity plea as a result of drug addiction, multiple personality, or something just as ridiculous. The thing is this... if you plead guilty, there is NO chance of jury finding in your favor. If you plead not guilty and argue well enough, reasonable doubt could come into play... And the defendant doesn't have to prove anything, that burden is on the prosecution.

What it boils down too though is one thing!!!!!!!
If she weren't guilty.......she'd tell where she really left Caylee,the park,SG apts...etc..........
she thought by calling all these ppl would verify where she was at all times,2 lovers in the SO,and i believe when she kept make calls in a frenzy i myself think thats a clue because when she didnt get an answer she kept calling another # till somebody answered so she could say,see it didnt happen then,i was on the phone............even her own parents knows she did it........
If she wasnt guilty.............talk..............thats simple!!!!!!!!
I ccant believe people think shes not guilty, she was partying, getting tattooed up.......gimme a break!

Thats what i wondered because when he said if you feel like talking let it go,you have a friend on the outside.he was telling her IMO dont tell, theyll never find her.
i think it was tony browns statement when he said she was at the mall?? or a cafe?? with 5 or 6 guys she went to highschool with,if you look at the pix on briansdreams.......i think page 2...scroll to the maybe 4th row on the right, theres a pic of 2 guys, the guy in the pic with a green cap turned backwards looks just like that guy, just more trimmed.his face hair.....lol....and he has glasses, she acted like she didnt know him but the second he said mike walker her entire body language changed, she was a nervous wreck..i thought then m hmmmm!!

I was just wondering, that with all the national attention to this case via Nancy Grace, major news oulets and the internet, how will an impartial jury EVER be found, and can the defense use that to their advantage?
Posted by: Eric | October 02, 2008 at 12:59 PM
Even if she is found guilty and put in prison, or on death row, she still won't admit to doing it, or talk about anything having to do with it for that matter. Her lips are sealed I think - indef. Kinda like Scott Peterson
Posted by: SunShine | October 02, 2008 at 01:11 PM
To answer the question about impartial Jury:
There are plenty of places the Jury could be placed. Here in my hometown, in the midwest, I am the only nut job obsessed with this case. Most people don't have a clue.
They will simply hold the jury elsewhere.
This case caught my eye as she looks very much like my little girl (20 years ago) in the picture with her hand under chin. It was a remarkable resemblence when I first saw it on NG.

I facebooked Casey and she returned with a message, when I read on foxnews she was on the site,i didnt believe it,in my message I never mention murder ,she does.Im sure its the right facebook one the one with her and Calley not the casey flag wearing one.Well she blocked me,i guess i hit a nerve, must have been my shocking advice or mention of her soul repeatedly

I saw on the news that LE is searching again. If they need a place to search I would start with the Dump on Curry Ford that Chris talked about. Its close enough to dump the body and go back every day to make sure its still there or burn it or what ever. It looks pretty deserted out there as well. Makes sense to me. I would also walk the dogs around Universal. Its the only consistant thing in Caseys life. I think the chemical may have come from a film developing place like Kodak/Universal. If you got no place else to look why not look there?
Posted by: Bonnie | October 02, 2008 at 07:22 PM
she still has a facebook account? Could you post a link to it or something? I couldn't find one with her and Caylee; I only saw the girl wearing a flag.
Posted by: rebecca | October 02, 2008 at 08:41 PM
This is good info. I have been following this case since day one. (I sorta like playing detective.) Anyway, I agree with you on the comment about them searching the dump area. It seems odd to me that she just stops by and visits that chris guy out of no where and during her visit claims she is thinking about buying a house around that dump place. Hmmm....... seems like she is either trying to create some alibi's or is in her own sick way giving out some information in bits and pieces about what who when and where. Something is just really fishy about that!! Also, I coulnt help but notice, that Tony guy is soo NOT cute! :)
Posted by: Nicole | October 02, 2008 at 10:35 PM
There are so many places to search for her. Casey's brother lives only 1-2 miles away from the anthony's home and there are a bunch of woods and bodies of water. When they do search, it seems like they search in places that don't have connection. But the dump on curry ford is one of the 1st places I thought of and they haven't thought of that???? Wow.
There had to be a witness, there is someone else involved that's keeping quiet. How could her boyfriend not wonder where her daughter is. If she was with a "babysitter" how could she not talk to her, check up on her? I can't go a few hours without checking on my son.
Posted by: jessica | October 03, 2008 at 12:52 AM
I really don't see much of a difference with casey being named
suspect.
Drew Peterson was suspect from day one in his wifes disappearance and he is still free to do as he pleases nearly 1yr later.
And speaking of Lee Anthony only living a short distance, have they checked his property with the cadaver dogs? Casey knows that he is out of town more then home.
Posted by: Villy Anne | October 03, 2008 at 12:18 PM
if you were the parents and had your daughter on home arrest in your home, for possibly murdering her child... would you not freak out long enough at her, or get her a psychiatrist to help sort out what has happened and find out the truth... I wouldn't let up until she caved in with the truth. I can't believe this family - what do they talk about all day and night. How can they not have any ideas where Caylee could be.
Posted by: Heather | October 03, 2008 at 12:48 PM
I can't believe her lawyer even sid this !! His comments just give us all more proof that she's guilty of Caylee's death !!
"Thursday, Casey's attorney said it's not in her best interest to tell what she knows about where Caylee is.
"It does her no good to show her cards to give the prosecution any advantage they have to put her away for life," Jose Baez said.
Judging by what he said, it would seem that Casey would get herself into trouble by telling what she knows about Caylee's whereabouts."

I also want to know if police have spoken with Patrick & Frank Bourgeoius and this Mike Walker. Hopefully they have and just aren't releasing those interviews yet.
Posted by: Concerned | October 03, 2008 at 02:14 PM
I think the fact that she mentioned 250,000 for the house and listed her income as 250,000 says something. I know she went to visit Chris on the 17th and she was in Tonys jeep, however, its only minutes away. She could have been creating a smoke screen (jeep instead of her car) to make it appear she wasn't out there in HER car before during and after. I think she put the body out there and went back and burned it. Its a skip and hop from her house. She spent mothers day with HIS mother. I think its odd that Casey nor Lee even visited or called their father on Fathers Day? Just another day for them. That may explain why no one remembered the date as Fathers day. Is there any way to get a suggestion for the search to LE with out using the crimeline tipline?
Posted by: Bonnie | October 03, 2008 at 03:28 PM
I noticed someone talked about Patrick visiting Casey in jail and she REALLY didn't seem to know him until he mentioned Mike Walker. I thought that was strange as well. He may be the baby daddy that she went to school with. She really didn't want to say anything after he brought Mike up. In the 2nd interview with Cindy before the tape really started, she brought up Chris. She said someone brought a bag of clothes to the house. Didn't know who or why but did think of Chris? Cindy said Annie? may have called him? I feel like this needed to be checked out more.

Heather:
I agree with you! I thought it was strange that Casey's lawyer Baez said that. It was almost like he was saying she was guilty. First he was saying that she had a very compelling reason for not telling the truth. Now he says that it would not be in her best interest to tell what she knows about Caylee. I believe she is guilty. I just don't know if it was an accident or not. I would like to ask Mr. Baez what is in Caylee's best interest? The truth needs to be told. God Bless Caylee where ever she is.

""Thursday, Casey's attorney said it's not in her best interest to tell what she knows about where Caylee is.
"It does her no good to show her cards to give the prosecution any advantage they have to put her away for life," Jose Baez said."
Concerned, thanks for posting this interesting quote from the lawyer. Sounds like Mr. Baez is already working on some sort of plea deal agreement that will be thrown out to the DA after Casey gets pinned in the corner by all the evidence against her.
Posted by: John | October 06, 2008 at 01:53 AM
Villy Anne...I think George and Cindy are grieving. Regardless of whether they know by now what happened to Caylee they are still missing a grand daughter. I watched the Cindy interviews, and when I saw Cindy crying and how emotional she was I just knew she had nothing to do with Caylee's disappearance. Plus, Baez won't let Casey speak with anyone, especially not a psychiatrist. The psychiatrist could be called upon in court as a witness.

It makes no sense to me that casey spends 6 hrs a day with her lawyer. Could this mean that they may have an affair going on?
Posted by: Lisa | October 06, 2008 at 11:18 PM
Does anyone out there believe they will let Casey off house arrest to travel at her leisure secretly? What a joke after all these months of lies and refusing to help find her daughter's remains. She would be gone in a flash and sadly her mom might help her with that so she does not have to stand trial. This family is no doubt grieving the loss of this precious child, but they need to move past that and begin healing. The first step would be to face the fact that Casey is responsible for the loss of her daughter and they need to hold her accountable for that. The father seems to be the only one in the family who knows Casey is lying and wants her to come clean, while the mother is blaming everyone BUT her daughter for the loss of Caylee. You can't bring back a child who is deceased and for her to ignore the chloroform and decomp in the trunk is ridiculous. She may feel as though she failed Casey along the way as a mother, but all mothers feel that at one time or another. We can't blame ourselves for what adult childdren chose to do. She was a safety net for Caylee for sure, but what bothers me is how she let a month pass without seeing or talking to this child and never wondering if everything was okay. Was she afraid to ask Casey? The answer to this case surely lies within their relationship and will explain why this child is no longer with them. I can only pray God watches over this family during this tragic time and allows them to heal. Mostly I pray they come to terms with what Casey did and they quit supporting her and push her to be truthful for once in her life.

"she REALLY didn't seem to know him until he mentioned Mike Walker." I believe Mike Walker is the Editor of the National Enquirer. Am I correct?
Posted by: Darlene | October 07, 2008 at 04:34 PM
Here's my theory why Casey suddenly wants to help look for Caylee:
She goes to where the body is, "finds her", then proclaims to all that she was indeed helping and gives a lame reason for not helping more in the past.
All a ploy to try and make it look like she's not guilty.
Criminals tend to think they're smarter than everyone else. This gal is in for a surprise. I'm sure the DA has lots more evidence to nail her.
And in regards to Lisa's post: I also think that there's something going one between Casey and that sleazy lawyer. In the photos look at that sly grin he has when he leaves his office with her.
Posted by: John | October 08, 2008 at 12:10 PM
I think they have enough to get her casey in jail for life. that better than death at her age let her think of caylee
forever and a day...........grandmother is in this someway.
Posted by: betty | October 08, 2008 at 05:57 PM
I don't think it takes Rocket Science to figure this one out ! They have too much evidence against her... her lies, her stealing, etc.
Now,if they checked my car they wouldn't find any evidence of Chloriform, hair with a dead band, or dead body smells right ??? .. but they did in hers. She hid this childs body and they all know it.. just too much coincidence.
I'm also wondering why they haven't given her a lie detector test ?? Has she refused ??? ..
A Sociapath like she is will NOT crack. She doesn't have a concience like most of us do.
I only pray to God they find this sweet childs body and I pray for the weather to be good for them to do it. I've sent a donation in at Texasequusearch.org .
Posted by: Patty | November 02, 2008 at 12:03 PM
Now what ?? They didn't find anything which is not good. Casey will NOT break and I'm so afraid this will now go unsolved.. I think it's time to call the Psycics in, they have nothing left to do at this point ! This child has got to be found.
Posted by: PATTY | November 11, 2008 at 11:26 PM
people are so retarded first off all they do not have any damn evidence that she murdered her daughter.. they have evidence that she was a bad mother but in no way do they have any evidence she did a murder the duct tape on caylees body had dna of a fbi lap tech and an unknown person but none from casee now if she murdered her daughter the ducktape would have her dna on it

she is such a liar and i bet nobody will like her everybody will probably be disgusted by her.

Most parents would protect their child at any cost.Even an animal will fight to the death to protect its young.I would forfeit my life in a heartbeat for any of my children or grandchildren. It would be an automatic response I wouldn't even have to stop to think about it.Most parents would do the same. This precious little angel did not have a loving mom but a selfish self centered person whose only concern was for herself. She does not deserve to ever be able to have another child.I hope Caylee's spirit haunts her for the rest of her life.
