George Anthony Headed to Jail For Assaulting Protesters?

George Anthony, father of Casey Anthony and grandfather of missing three-year-old Caylee Anthony, freaked out on a group of protesters today and allegedly pushed two of them - a young man and an old lady - because they were standing in front of his house.

I was not on the scene when the argument occurred; however I did locate both victims of the alleged attack and they agreed to talk about it.

After I uploaded those videos a witness to the events sent me a link to video of the alleged assault. In the video you can see George push the male protester; however the camera does not get a very good shot of the alleged assault on the elderly woman. You can view that video here. As with the other two, it contains coarse language, not intended for minors.

As you can tell from the videos, both of the alleged victims are thinking about pressing charges.

In related news, the sheriff's department was on scene when I arrived, busy handing out tickets to anyone who drove by and honked the horn in front of the house. They were also giving tickets to motorists who were blocking the road.

David: You know I just do not understand George whatsoever. He is a former cop. He knows the laws inside and out so why is he covering up for Casey or if he isn't why is Cindy and/or Lee (the brother). George knew it was against the bail release of Casey to have a gun in the vicinity of Casey even but he had one in the car trunk. Cindy knew not to wash the clothes from the car especially since she stated "it smelled like there was a dead body in the damn car" and then stating it was pizza covered with maggots. To me they are all covering up big time what has actually happened to Caylee.

Caylee is the most important person in this three ring circus or four ring circus. She is the person they should be very concerned about and not Casey or themselves. Cindy stating about feeling Caylee is in Mexico, Puerto Rico, Texas; and that she has phone records from Casey's cell phone showing phone calls from the supposed nanny. It is funny the police didn't see them. What is it, the cell phone company makes numerous records for each month with different numbers and calls for the same dates. Next, they will say they are being billed two or three times a month by the cell phone company per cell phone.

If and when they find Caylee's body they will blame it on the media and the authorities because they did not do what this so called Zaneida Fernandez-Gonzalez instructed that had to be done, and then they will try to sue all the media outlets covering the story and all the authorities involved in the case.

I'm not in suupport of protesters on residential streets for any reason...however, I do believe George has no business putting his hands on anyone else so I am in support of assault charges being filed. Those folks need to search for Caylee's body instead of protesting. The more needed, the better. That child deserves a proper dress and burial. Pray for her to be found.

Things are getting so crazy there! I agree with the right to protest but it should be done in a peaceful manner and they should NOT disturb the other residents or block traffic. Other clues I had forgotten about: (there are so many)

-did I hear correctly in the very beginning (July 16ish) that Casey had racked up $40,000 plus on her mother's credit cards(while they were on a several week vacation in July)
-what does she have to show for this spending?
-were returns made at any stores (did she get cash back)
-did the grandmother (Cindy) really wash a pair of pants that she thought smelled of the same foul order as in the trunk?
-was it ever confirmed that mother, father and brother (and friends) had NEVER met Zanny the Nanny though Casey claims she employed her for over a year and a half?
-why did Casey need a "nanny" if she hadn't been employed since 2006?
-why did Casey call her a nanny and not a babysitter? (they're not upper class)(I am a social work and psychology
student)
-did Casey really lead detectives to Universal Studios only to have a security guard not recognize her and after she still got in, took them down a hallway to show them her office to which she finally said "I was lying"?
-did she really make a comment in the bounty hunter's presence as she looked around and said "well, I guess I'm a celebrity"?
-is it true there is a children's book entitled "Zanny the Nanny"?
-is it true her and family talked in code when the first jail cell calls were recorded? (can't find this)
-did anyone ever decifer said codes?
-is it possible for an orthopedic nurse (Cindy) to know the smell of human decomposition?
-is it possible (as grandmother claims) that a cadaver dog's hit was due to the child urinating?
-did I also hear correctly that Casey had stolen money from her grandparents (the one's in the assisted-living facility)(report stated she was able to somehow from the numbers on the check she received as a birthday present)and that is one of the reasons Cindy was so angry when she made a MySpace comment about her daughter stealing LOTS OF MONEY.

Every time I think I have a theory, and I have several, I get stupified again. But, I am not a professional. I do, however, know this:

She either killed her or she didn't.
She either knows what happened or she doesn't. (but won't say which, and has lied)
Given both of those scenarios,it is possible that she really had an accident and though she doesn't tell that and clear herself, for some reason wants to lie about the truth. (attention may be important that clearing herself and staying out of prison). It is possible the child was really kidnapped and is alive and Casey is still not cooperating. It is possible she sold the child (new parents may not want to come forward as it is illegal I believe). The child could have been involved in child pornography and may or may not be alive. It is possible that she hasn't a clue as to what happened (other than maybe was incapacitated when she let someone she barely knew watch her child, for instance)but loves the situation in America she is creating, making her look like the murderer. It is possible, of course, that she did do it or helped directly, and is still acting guilty (for lack of a better word, you know, not ever asking about her daughters whereabouts)
and doesn't mind looking guilty as she thinks she will still get away with it. It is possible (nobody knows all the possible fantasies)that she doesn't care if she gets away with it or not, but just loves the fame and ofcourse, the way things like this go, the fortune that is going to go with it. Nobody knows how long ago she planned all of this, if, in fact, she did. We can't look to her behavior now, though abnormal as it is, as to what happened. If, she cares about herself only as others suspect, then anything is possible. Now, we need the clues to lead us to one of those possibilities. Sorry for being so long-winded.

I cannot believe this family! George pushing people, trying to show his "masculinity". How pathetic. Look at where Casey came from!! Look at her parents! No wonder she is so screwed up! He is acting like a true pig of an "ex"cop. How dare he push people around - and this is not the first time!! They will hide in shame for the rest of their lives. That is just sick. This man's granddaughter is missing and likely dead. He either has to come to terms with the fact that she has been kidnapped, or else killed by his own daughter.

How would YOU react in that situation?! That man is going to have a heart attack. He is so far over the edge. The protestors need to leave them alone. What good is it doing? It just makes Casey more determined to NOT talk. If they would stay away and give poor George a break, maybe something would actually happen!

I think it's really sad that people are so insensitive to the pain that the Anthony family is feeling right now. To have a missing loved one is the most agonizing feeling in the world...and I speak from personal experience. My baby granddaughter was missing for 10 weeks last year when her non-custodial mother absconded with her and took her halfway across the country without my son's knowledge. For 10 long weeks we had no idea where our little angel was and, believe me, it was utter hell. My heart goes out to the Anthony family in this very stressful and painful time. They certainly don't need protesters and nosy reporters hounding them day and night when they are already at their rope's end. I pray that little Caylee will be found safely and soon and that all those who sit in judgment of the Anthony family would step back and let this poor family search and grieve in private. May God bless them all!

I'm sick of the Anthony's not facing reality, I'm sad and sick to my stomach about little Caylee out there rotting like an animal - but I'm really sick of all these people gawking and standing in front of these people's home - not only for the Anthony's sake - but good God there are innocent people who live in that neighborhood - give them some peace. Really and truly-no matter what is going on in the Anthony home we can all assume it is traumatic and anxiety driven. The Anthony's have not been involved in this (until we find that they covered up evidence/information relative to this case)we can at least allow them to live in their home with some kind of civility. The Anthony's home has dysfunctional and corrupted individuals in it-who wants to hang out there? Would you have a meal there? Absolutely not. Zanny the Nanny is in the book, Double Trouble Squared. It looks to me like its a children's mystery novel written in a two book set. Those at the Anthony home causing grief are not protestors because they are disturbing the peace for the whole neighborhood. They need to be arrested. Those holding signs about Casey murdering her child should be careful of slander since she has not yet been charged. These protestors have managed to make me sympathetic toward the Anthonys like I had from the start, despite the old pizza remark.

I'm trying to get a handle on the timeline and haven't read any clear indication as to where Casey Anthony was when Caylee first went missing.

Was Casey out of the Anthony home those almost 30-days from June 17 to July when she finally admitted that Caylee was missing? Is that why Cindy and George had no idea that Caylee had been gone almost a month? I cannot fathom that, living under the same roof at that time, the grandparents would not know that there granddaughter was missing.

So, if Casey was not in the home during that time period, then where was she? Who saw her? Where was she staying? Somebody saw Casey from June 17 to July when she finally admitted that Caylee was gone. She wouldn't have been invisible.

If Casey was in the home, then George and Cindy would be complicit. They were involved in the disappearance of Caylee because they weren't actively seeking answers from Casey as to the whereabouts of their granddaughter.

Anyhow, I tend to agree that George should have kept his hands off of people but on the flip side I can understand that his life is crumbling around him, their daughter is lying to them as well as the rest of the world and they are distraught about having lost their granddaughter...AND there are #@$%^ hanging out in front of their house screaming and carrying signs. Judging from what I read earlier today the protest out front may be illegal under Restricted and Prohibited Public Assemblies. Obviously that's something lawyers and judges would need to deal with but were I the Anthony's attorney I would certainly be talking to the sheriff about that. "You don't press charges against my client and we won't push to have charges pressed against these 'nice' folks"

The protesters have no business being out there every night and if they want something to do with their useless Jerry Springer lives maybe they could help with the search for Caylee, who is after all, what this is all about in the end.

To the lady who was recapping the facts of the case. She wanted to know about the phone calls and how they were speaking in "codes." Actually there is this guy who plays conversations backwards and extracts what they are "subconsiously" saying. I found it on utube. It is under the Caylee case and under something like, "it's the dogs." Frankly, it is very strange and I can't imagine how this really means something. It is very creepy. Check it out.

This is Florida and temps inside a closed-up car can reach 120 degrees or more in mid-summer. I work in a pizzeria and believe me, pizza does NOT rot and get maggots. Pizza simply dries up like a piece of old toast. I believe she probably left a sleeping or sedated Caylee in a hot car while she went shopping with someone else's money. Being afraid of the rath of her parents, she wove an intricate web of lies to try to cover her butt. I believe Caylee was put in a dumpster somewhere and now rests in an Orlando landfill. It is most likely she will never be found. However, law enforcement will prove Casey is reponsible and she will eventually be brought up on charges.

By the legal definitions of "assault" or "battery," I believe charges COULD stick. With the video evidence I've seen, it's pretty clear that George and Lee Anthony both committed assault and/or battery if those people were lawfully assembled. BUT, a lawful owner of property is allowed by law to use reasonable force to expell a trespasser. I don't think George used unreasonable force so the question for me would be; "Does standing on a person's driveway constitute trespass?"

If the folks were trespassing, then George had a right to remove them. If they were legally occupying the space where they stood, he committed battery.

On the other hand, Lee does not own that property. He is more likely guilty of battery because he tried to tear the sign from the woman's hands. Unwanted physical contact defines battery and includes contact with items connected to the person battered.

I think that is probably why Lee left with police officers yesterday. He has no legal defense for his actions against the woman, who was standing on the roadway when he snatched and tore her sign. If George is charged, I think he probably has a legal defense of removing trespassers.

I honestly think she killed the little girl and if she did do it she will get hers GOD will punish her for sure. The news update just recently said that reporters saw her and her brother giving each other a high five and laughing while going to see her attorney's office. I personally think her whole family now knows the truth cause they are helping her and too concerned about her safety and not the safety of her child it seems like everyone is and has given up on finding Caylee and that is so screwed up. When they find out the truth about what happened to Caylee her mom needs to get the death penalty.

Let us all stop and think how we would be feeling, acting, and saying to those who protest if we were in the Anthonys position. Yes feeling can make one do and say alot of things. This case unravels more and more every day. Pay day always comes. When this all comes together and the police arrest Casey Anthony for murder, don`t be too surprised if George Anthony is involved with hiding Caylees body.This whole mess stinks more than the trunk of car that Casey was driving. And by the way, since when do clients spend 8 hours a day at their lawyers office. Seems like Jose Baez has nothing more to do that play patsy with Casey.

Sociopathic murderous daughter. What in the HECK do they expect? When and if little Kaylee's body is ever found, every single one of them has blood on their hands! The one thing that really annoys me are the people standing yelling at the Anthony's with thier children in tow. They are sinking to Casey's level of imature parenting and need to get a crip on thier own life and leave the Anthony's alone.

The one thing that we all have in common in America, is inocent until proven guilty. None of the accusations from the OCSO or the Media have been a proven fact in court, and charges brought against Casey. Until then, the pathetic excuse for a mother does have rights, and they are being violated by other Americans by harrasing her, calling her a murderer, and a baby killer.

Everyone needs to just ignore Casey, as all you are doing is giving her the attention she wants, and craves for and making this entire case worse. Leave her alone, ignore her, give her no response to her lies, he cover ups, or her pathetic excuse of mothering.

Let it go, go use your energy for other things in life, like finding Caylee or other missing children. Once Casey does not have the attention all focused on her, then she will crack under pressure and do something else stupid.

No one cares about Casey, so go find Caylee, search every field, park, dumpster, and lake. Find the little girl, and just leave the Anthonys alone. They enjoy this to much, that is why they come out and fight with the protesters, no one in that family can shut up, so ignore them until they say something worth listening to like where is Caylee.

Caylee is the only one who should be on the news.

I can't believe that the police aren't doing anything, knowing the situation there, an angry mob and these people backed into their houses, not only the Anthony's but their neighbors as well. We can sit here and speculate all day long on the theories. What we do have is facts: Tests results show a decomposed body was in the trunk of that car. 2. Traces of chloroform were found in the trunk of the car.
Police have indicated a stain (no mention in any documents what kind of stain) Dirt-(Unsure of how much, what kind, etc.) DNA has had to come back by now and I'm sure we will hear about it soon.
Let the police do their job and we can do our job as citizens and look for Caylee. HELP WITH THE SEARCH! The faster we find Caylee the faster we can bring a close to all this.

Let's not judge the grandparents. They have lost their granddaughter and without a shadow of a doubt that has got to be the hardest thing in your life. We can all sit here and say what we would do, could do or say....but when it comes down to it we really don't know unless we have been in that very same place. They are human. There daughter might not be....but she holds the key to the answers...without her they may never know what happened. When you don't have the actual body itself you want to hold onto anything you possibly can to make this nightmare go away. You want to believe that there is a "Possibility"...that she is alive. It's called "Denial". I don't think Cindy/George Anthony is crazy...I take that back...They are crazy for her granddaughter. They raised that little girl. I just say this from the bottom of my heart....give them peace, give them time. I do believe the authorities are not going to give up on Casey Anthony. They have evidence that we, the public just don't know yet. As the days go by and Casey keeps putting her foot in her mouth, they will come to realize. One day...her lies on top of lies will unfold and she won't be able to lie anymore. As a mother of a 3 year old, I'm so frustrated...I have to do what I can in order to bring Caylee home.

Ok, I have to say, I was there during the chaos on Sunday night and through the vigil. I can understand all the frustrations of the Anthony's, but they provoke the situation, by hanging outside, putting up "no trespassing" and tape while protestors are out there. They could have someone else do that for them. Although that area taped off from the sidewalk to the road is public property. I went to see the house after spending 3 long, hot days, drove over an hour to volunteer search for Caylee, in 105 degree weather. Needless to say, I am quite sunburned. I actually followed other volunteer searchers over to their house. So what I am saying is, WE were out looking for Caylee for days now, sacrificing us spending time with our children,while they sit in a/c, watching movies, etc...and have nothing but harsh words and NO THANKS to the volunteer searchers. There were about 8-10 volunteer searchers out there that night. I was NOT protesting, but I am just amazed, as I feel they don't want anyone to find her, for some reason?????? The Anthony's are provoking the situation to make it worse, by their actions and words. I can't believe the bond was not revoked when George hid his gun in the wheel well????/ Judge being bribed????? Any other person would be back in jail. Why is she getting "special treatment"???? And I hope battery charges stick, as George provoked the situation. He was the one that walked toward them and then shoved them, as they were on public property and into the street. I was there. They should put ALL of the ANTHONY's in jail for witholding information. That would solve the problem.!! George needs to be held accountable for his assaultive behavior. I will still be praying and searching for Caylee. I am glad Caylee is not with that dysfunctional family anymore. She's has to be a lot safer now, and in peace. This is such a tragedy!
