Caylee Anthony : Ground Zero : Day 2

It is about 7:00 a.m. and I just arrived on the scene at Texas EquuSearch's command post. It looks like there will be a large turnout of volunteers today, as dozens of cars have already started pulling into the parking lot. I'm happy to report that I have met several readers of this blog who have came out to volunteer, including one lady who made the drive all the way from Ohio.

I am out of the loop right now as far as what other outlets are covering; however sources here tell me that detectives removed potential evidence from George Anthony's vehicle early this morning. The evidence was allegedly removed from the wheel well, although some sources are saying the spare tire area. I'll try to provide more information on that later.

Robert Dummett, one of the search directors with Florida 3 Airboat Search and Rescue, has invited me out on one of their search boats today. I have a radio interview later this afternoon, so right now I am trying to see if I can work both things into my schedule. Regardless, I will be involved in the search effort at some point today.

I read that Rob Dick who drove Casey back and forth to her attorney's office while out via Padilla has said that Casey told HIM that she dropped Caylee off at Jay Blanchard Park to Zenaida Fernandez(hyphen)Gonzalez and her sister, Samantha. Rob says that Casey mostly said things that bolster her original story to law enforcement but said Zenaida gave her a 30 day "script" to follow with her parents and law enforcement to "explain Caylee's whereabouts."

How weird is that? This girl goes to Jay Blanchard Park and willingly hands over her daughter to someone who gives her a 30-day script to explain Caylee's whereabouts and then says, "I have no clue where Caylee is. I had no idea Zenaida would vanish with my daughter." ??? Is it a physical impossibility for this girl to complete one single sentence that a) makes sense or, b) isn't a flimsy lie?

If this new second scenario has any truth to it (which I seriously doubt) it would appear that the baby-sitter took Caylee permanently and with Casey's permission.

Of course this completely forgets about a dead body in the trunk, etc. Maybe Zenaida took the dead girl and disposed of her to help Casey...who knows anything at this point?

My guess is that the evidence taken from George Anthony's automobile was to try to match dirt/plants in the wheel wells to known areas - in case he helped Casey dispose of the body. That would also require samples from the inside to determine if he ever had the child in the trunk of HIS car. Law Enforcement should've thought of this a long time ago.

I am so happy to hear that more people are turning out for this little girl. Being in MA and a Mom to two small children, I am not able to be there as much as I'd like to be - and so I'm thankful that there are others who are in a position to get out there and do something - and are taking the opportunity to do so.

I find it very interesting that you mention that evidence was taken from George's car; there's been no mention of any other vehicle involved. This case is just so bizarre, on so mamy levels!

Thanks David for all you are doing! I wanted to thank all those who are searching for little Caylee I wish I could be there I live far away and don't have the income to make the trip or I would. Caylee has become a part of our family I hope still that she would be found alive but I know deep in my heart that the evidence speaks different. Caylee needs to be found so that she may rest in peace.

The whole Anthony family I believe has been involved with this early on and has been covering every since hoping that the evidence would totally dissappear. I pray each night that this does not happen and little Caylee is found.

If I find out that ABC or anyother channel, author or anyone who makes money off of little Caylee, I will not watch or read their work!! As far as the Anthony's being paid for pictures and videos, etc this is horrible how could they take money based on what has happened to little Caylee? This money should be spent on the search, and another question is why isn't the family out searching through the swamps side by side all the other people who care so much for their grandaughter? Something is so fishy about this whole case.

Kudos to David and volunteers who are helping. I can understand the frustrations of the neighbors overnight there are media, people trampling on their property, and police all over the place. I would be upset w/ the Anthony family as well, they thought they could control the circus.

I am in New Jersey and if I was not a teacher I would love to be in Florida to help out with this search. I have a 3 and a 13 year daughter and I have been obsessed with finding out what has happened to Caylee Marie.

I followed it all summer long and I too want some closure in this. The video clips on 20/20 of that beautiful little girl just brought tears to my eyes and made me want to hug my girls even more!

I watch Nancy Grace every night and check myfoxorlando.com everyday. I agree with the parents being enablers and find it excruciating to watch Cindy Anthony anymore (even though I do because I am still curious to see what direction she goes in next).

It would be a miracle at this point to find Caylee alive although I know that we all prayed and wished that we could see her alive.

I had a former best friend of 17 years who had become more and more pathological and I had to sever ties with. As much as I cannot believe that someone could behave this way, I have watched similar behavior first hand. In my case it did not end up with murder but the lies about EVERYTHING got bigger and better everyday. When they say that Casey ties in a tiny bit of truth around every lie, I agree!

By the way, she needed a psychological evaluation last time to be released on bail. Were they able to diagnose her with anything when they did that evaluation?

I pray that the search today results in closure for this entire country that is watching this unfold, wishing for a better ending, but facing the sad truth that Caylee Marie Anthony is probably in Heaven! God Bless all of you helping in the search and thank you from this mom in New Jersey!

I would like to know why they havent dug up the cement slab
in the anthonys back yard or taken one of the dogs through the inside of the house.If they stop and think about it casey has said from the beging she felt caylees real close to home.as i see it casey and her parents got into a fight about caseys partying .casey got mad took caylee,to hurt her parents,I belive this all happened July 4th weekend,I think casey wanted to go to that hot body contest,didnt have anyone to watch caylee,so she bought a pizza ,dosed caylee something to make her sleep put her in the trunk thinking she would sleep partyed came out lifted the trunk only to find caylee dead,called her parents told them it was their fault

Sorry,I ran out of room on my last comment,as i was saying i believe Casey panicked called her parents freaked out,i think Casey and her parents either bought a casket and a liner a cement one,i think they dug 8ft deep after a body is put in a casket you can have it air sealed, the cement liner is the first thing in the hole,so if the liner was put 8ft deep and then the casket was air sealed and put into the liner made of cement and then a cement lid is sealed,and the dirt put back and a cement slab laid on top.i dont think the dogs would pick up the scent,lets not forget cindy is a nurse i dont remember what they use to stop decompization.

He doesn't have to be there at all but he is and he is informing the rest of us who care about him and the search teams.

Also, no matter what psychological diagnosis Casey is given...your enviroment also plays a role in shaping who you are...and Casey is a perfect example of a spoiled brat whose parents not only let her get away with horrible behavior, but they also "justify" her behavior. Parents need to wake up and see that this is what can happen many times when you spoil children. This is just my opinion.

Is it possible that the script was... Meaning Casey says Nanny because they buried Caylee at the Grandmother's house? and knowing when she would be interrogated she would not be lying in a way? and that is what she meant by that she was close? and also why all of the family said that June 9 was the last time they saw Caylee...knowing that June 15.. Father's Day visit Cindy and Caylee's had with Cindy's Dad had at Mount Dora nursing home was the last time they saw Caylee.. just to keep the grandparent's out of it..they would explain the gas..because of the drive out there..and may be why Casey shows no emotion because in a way Casey and the family still have Caylee in way..because they know where she is?

I have been back and forth with my feelings on this case. My theory is that this beautiful child is still alive and I somewhat believe Casey. I think its a possibility that the police are not listening to her completely. If you infospace the babysiteers name it does come up in both New York and North Carolina alos though its not a common name there are more than a couple. I theorize that its a possibility her daughter was taken over possible drug (or similar senario) debt and this would also be the reason she isn't saying much she is probably deathly scared that her daughter will be killed if she implicates any one involved. Its disturbing to me that all the focus is in Florida why notreally focus on this sitters name and question all those with that name. Isn't also possible this person is an illegal immigrant and could have fled the country? I do have my doubts due to the evidence involved but I feel that there is still not enough investigating going on. Another thing aren't there top notch psycologist out there (the ones that probe the minds of murdes) why isn't she being interviewed by top notch proffesionals that can usually without a doubt say weather someone is able to commit such a horrid act. Although I have my doubts I still think Caylee is alive. Any mother guilty or not would not be able to hold their composer the way Casey is. God Bless Caylee and watch over the entire Anthony Family

It has been reported that the "evidence" taken from George Anthony's trunk was a gun - I'm assuming his service sidearm since he's an ex-cop and works in Security. Law enforcement has taken it for safe-keeping.

Part of Casey's bail agreement is that she not have weapons on the property - she could've been re-arrested, but the judged determined that she had no knowledge of the weapon in the tire-well of her father's car. (Yeah...right.)

I wonder how this will affect George's employablity? Where I live, security guards who are licensed to be armed (and own a pistol) make a lot more than guys in uniforms without the heat.

I wonder if Casey even cares that she has disrupted her whole family's life. I'd be all kinds of p i s s e d off if I had to drive to the court house every day to pick up my weapon before I could go to work. But does anyone know if there is actually an employed person living in that household? Maybe not.

A fate worse than death - being locked up in a small house with your psycho Mom and law enforcement Dad who are probably not buying any new lies.

What a nightmare this is. It will be a best-seller as soon as the trial is over. I guarantee it. Then the movie.

I can't wait to hear the "very compelling reason" that Baez & Company keep referring to regarding Casey's waiting so long before telling ANYone that the child is missing. That should be a bombshell or a huge dud. I may be able to think of scenarios which present a compelling reason to keep quiet, but not one which also includes partying like it's 1999.

I think mental illness - incapacity - insanity are the only defenses that might get any cred with a jury...even if I keep praying the kid is found alive.

Time will tell us something - but I'm not sure we'll ever know the truth.

Dimes,- are you kidding me??? This is a man who IS doing whatever he can to help, and keeping those of us that can't be there informed. It is his JOB as a journalist to interview, it is his HUMANITY that sends him on the actual search. He could be like every other journalist, parked in front of the Anthony's house - but he's not. I hope that Caylee is found soon so that justice can be served. In case you have not heard yet, the search of George's SUV was as a result of a tip call that he had a gun in the wheel well. It was taken by OCSO in the wee hours of the morning. A judge determined that Casey had no knowledge of the gun & would not be revoking her bond (I do not agree with that decision). I am disgusted beyond words that the Anthonys will not provide an item to aid Tim Miller & crew...they sure do go out of their way to make it worse for themselves, its okay I have faith that Caylee will be found...let everyone know on site that those of us sending in contributions and following the case thank them. This case gets stranger everyday. I just hope this poor baby is found this weekend. If she is dead, she needs to be laid to rest properly, not just dumped like some left over garbage. As far as Cindy, I think she's the reason Casey is such a good liar. Cindy seems like she can lie as easily as her daughter does. She is another one that tells a different story every time she is asked about something. Lets just pray this ends this weekend and Caylee comes home one way or another.

I've seen first hand how many mentally ill, have no feelings. They feel numb! I have a relative who was around Caseys age who had some tragic event trigger a psyhcotic episode. She was then Diagnosed with Schizoeffective /bipolar type. She had the same type of behavior. She lied about things, that she actually believed was true. She was verbally abusive & nasty. She had a baby she couldn't raise. She couldn't keep a job, wasn't dependable & didn't have normal feeling for her baby. She was & is very self centered.

If what the Lab reports say is correct then she is dead, Please find her body. I have a feeling the Anthonys are delaying the search in every way they can to alowe the body to decompose to the point that nothing will be learned from the body when it's found.

If, in fact, there actually was a nanny, Zanaida Fernadez-Gonzalez could be *her* fake name. I doubt it but it is possible, especially if Casey was involved with the wrong crowd and Casey met the nanny through them.

Psych Nurse, I wonder if Casey went through trauma upon discovering her child dead at her own hands under her care and that sparked her emotionlessness and fantasy world. She may have been a pathological liar and lousy mother in the responsibility part before Caylee's death then afterward became this numb being who shows no concern for her daughter. I've wondered this from the moment I heard that she was showing no emotions.

With the Dad being a cop, he would know to clean out the trunk. She killed the baby and now the parent's are covering up for her.She will never admit guilt. She can't, she loves all this attention. So, this didnt happen and she had to dream up the Nanny story, I hope she fries. When she does get to prison, she wont last long.

I have wanted to come out and search as well, but I am out of state. I know someone as well that reminds me very much of Casey. This person has Bipolar Disorder and must have BPD(Borderline Personality Disorder) as she has all the signs. Like Casey, this person not only lies,(about even things that are easily proved false), she is the one that will actively create the problem and then act as the victim. Like Casey, this person will portray herself as having accomplishments, but rather lives off of her babies daddies child support and her family. This person tried to get an abortion, but the mum said No, lost custody for a while to her mother. After denying a request for a paternity test to daddy #2, gave up the 2nd child for adoption, and went onto having a third. Years and years of court battles and not much older than Casey. She even had domestic violence charges brought against her, but instead of her parents helping her, they blame everyone else, much like C&G Anthony. I wonder if Casey was also molested as child and it was covered up? I wonder if Casey was ever diagnosed? Does something happen to these people to make them like this or are they just born Fkdup? No excuse. I'm glad Casey's home and in C&G's face everyday. What's a few more years of denial, let them deal with her. As far as our narcisist, sociopath, party girl, negligent mother goes, I feel the same way- Now it's your turn to deal with her! People with BP and BPD only get worse without treatment. I only hope Caylee is found alive, somehow, someway. It's too much of a tragedy.

I'm not a profiler but I had some thoughts on your search.

I was thinking that the child if deceased she is probably not more than 20 minutes from the Anthony's home. I was also thinking that I doubt a mother would pour gasoline on her child's body and set it on fire, taking this action might also alert people. If she is buried, the body would more than likely be just under the surface, more probable just under some brush. I also don't think Casey would toss her in a body of water. Most likely, she would be in a place that Caylee once played or visited or near there. It would be a place Casey could come back to visit. Perhaps some place that had some tie or meaning to Casey, how long did the Anthony's live at Hopespring? Where before that? If she is buried, I doubt she is far off from the road, too inconvenient for Casey. She is not the type to go trudging through mosquito ridden forests even to save herself. Were the local landfills searched? Where was that pizza from found in the trunk of her car? Did she eat it before or after she dumped the body? Has anyone interviewed or gotten the name of the pizza place, any receipts from the purchase?
What about the maggots from the pizza box, how long were they there? Am I going to CSI on you? Last, this chick did not buy chloroform to clean, give me a break. If she was a clean freak the pizza and subsequent maggots would not have been there. I suggest looking South of the Anthony home, 15 minutes or less by car. I hope I can join the search soon.

Friends said Lazzaro believed she worked as an event planner at Universal Studios for the two months they were together. She told him her boss allowed her to work from her computer at his Winter Park apartment. They found out later from her family she wasn't earning the money she was spending. Instead, Casey was running up her mother's credit cards.

Has anyone checked the Winter Park Apartments her so called boss let her do work from? I'm sorry I couldn't provide the address as I'm not from the area and when I checked the name on google I came up with Winter Park Apartments in Florida and the other web page said it was Apartments in Winter Park Florida so I believe these are two different places. Can't believe anything this crazy ol girl says wow the web of lies we weave!!! If someone is from the area could they provide the information on the Apartments before David leaves so they could check it out and maybe see how close these apartments are from all these other various place of interest. Also I believe the detectives have already done this but I noted on her facebook account I looked into finding a friend and I did it by her e-mail address provided by the court transcripts which is caseyomarie@yahoo.com

I couldn't help but note that alot of the names she mentioned in the transcripts or fake e-mails were people on her facebook. Example she has a Juliana Kwalton on facebook is that where the name Jules on her fake e-mail came from?

She has a Erica Patricia and Ariel Gonzalez on her facebook is that where she got the last name Gonzalez from?

She has a Mark Hopkins on her facebook could Mark possibly have a friend name Jeff on his facebook account.

I can't see who all these different people have as friends on her facebook because I haven't invited them as my friend but what I think she did was have different friends on facebook and she can view all there friends and she's mixing peoples first names with other peoples last names.

Look for yourself I found alot of either first names on her facebook friends or alot of last names that didn't match the first names she stated. Have the detectives looked into each and everyone one of her friends on facebook and myspace to see how she came up with all these different first and last names that see to kind of match up. That can also prove she's lying because she has friends on facebook that she's giving a different last name to the so called friends in her trascript and fake e-mail and vice versa she's given info. on names of people in the transcript and fake e-mail and the first names are incorrect but the last names you will see on facebook. One particular name that stuck out was the so called Thomas Franck on the transcripts but on her facebook she has a friend called Andrew Franck. The last name spelling of Franck is quite different as I would have spelled it Frank. Also can the detectives look into her facebook account and see where all the different I.P addresses are coming from cause if she has the time and energy to create a bunch of fake e-mail addresses which you need to create a facebook account then that means her crazy butt could possibly make up fake friends with fake e-mails on facebook and just click and paste different peoples pictures. Just my observation.......Hope this helps....

I absolutely believe that sh should be prosecuted for the murder of her daughter. She has not cooperated with authority and there is no presence of remorse or concern for her daughters presence. I think she should be put to death! And the only immunity she should be given is life in prison instead of the death penalty. I can wait until they charge her with 1st degree murder and she is prosecuted.
