Caylee Anthony : Ground Zero : Day 1

I arrived at the Texas EquuSearch command post at about 7:30 a.m. today. Tim Miller gave Investigation Discovery exclusive behind the scenes access and has promised to alert us of any important developments.

I have been assigned to a team of 12 searchers and we are now preparing to go into a high priority area with a K9 team.

As an FYI, a source close to the investigation has told me that ABC News 20/20 has allegedly offered the Anthony family one million dollars for an exclusive interview. The same source claims that AIM Productions from Nashville has allegedly offered the family one million for book and movie rights.

I will continue to post updates throughout the day and will be on the scene at the Anthony home later tonight to cover a scheduled protest.

What is going WHY are people giving the Anthony's MONEY!!!!! WHY? What the hell is going on with this world? Where people forget that there is a CHILD a BABY MISSING and they are condoling it Jesus. So they are all gonna profit. This is crazy. While it is mostly Casey's fault..the family has come across just as nuts. I wish I was in FL. I would be out there helping to search for Caylee's body. Not reporting your child for over a month while out partying and sleeping around..lying for well most say over a year, but really 2 years as she didn't work at Universal for that long..Cindy washing evidence...Casey having Chloroform in the car..it all points to one thing and at this point I am amazed and saddened Law Enforcement doesn't have enough to charge her, and totally sick of this lying family. Hi- Is there anyway you can confirm this information about the money being paid to the Anthony's? I'm sure they are not paying for the "interview" but are getting away w/it by paying to license use of the photos and home video.

Either way- its disgusting and many, many people would like to boycott and write in to ABC and parent company Disney.

The money should have been specified to go ONLY to the fund for search efforts for Caylee or at the very least a matching amount should be donated to texasequusearch.org! This is rewarding the very person the police suspect (and have almost insurmountable evidence against) had something to do w/Caylee's death and disposal. So Casey kills Caylee (or loses her somehow at the very least) then tells monstrous, time wasting lies to police and for that is rewarded w/tons of money she can use to fight the charges and drag the courts and the public through this neverending, heartbreaking tragedy.

How can we find out? Do they have to disclose? Can we complain to the FCC? This is blood money!

The money grubber Anthony's will probably take it. They complain the focus is being taken off of Caylee, yet will agree to things like this, for their OWN personal gain. They will use poor Caylee to get rich. How reliable is your source? It's actually kind of disappointing to know that they (ABC) would pay that kind of money, or any kind of money, I guess, for the story. It's disgusting that this family is being offered $1 MILLION from ABC News 20/20 for an interview as well as a second offer for a book/movie deal from AIM Productions. Who wants to see this movie? Everyone in America that has been following this story has already seen the movie live. This world we live in is disturbing! This is not entertainment. A child is missing. Hasn't everyone gotten that yet? Who cares about interviewing these people anymore? The family continues to deny every link of evidence found knowing that their daughter was already a pathological liar. If this family accepts anyone of these deals, then they care nothing for their grandchild. To cash in on their missing grandchild is disgusting. The Anthony's, regardless, should be in the trenches looking for this child... in all the nook and crannies as the Grandmother had previously stated.

Why interview these people any more than they have been? They speak untruth and the Mother of this missing child never intends to tell the truth.

Donate the money to other searches for missing people!

Regardless of Casey being their daughter, the manner in which they choose to support her is outrageous.

I have been curious from the beginning why Casey was so anxious to get Tony's phone number when she talked to her family from the jail. She sounded almost desperate .. as if perhaps she wanted to ask him to do somethng for her. I don't mean to insinuate that I feel he was involved in Caylee's death, but I feel that Casey wanted him to move .. or hide something for her. Or just to ask for his silence if he were asked anything. Maybe if he were brought in for serious questioning, he could be helpful in some way. It couldn't hurt!

good luck with the case. it is so sad. my take is that somehow the little girl died and her mother, who seems so unstable, lost her mind and freaked out and tried to hide it. i wish she would just come clean and spare her family and the nation the anguish of not knowing. the pictures of casey with caylee do seem as if the woman really loved her girl, same with the grandparents. it's just so, so unbearably sad. my little girl is two and a half, i can't imagine the pain that family is going through. they're weird but i'm pretty sure i'd be weird too if something happened to my girl and in my gut i knew it was bad but the person who knew wouldn't tell me the whole story. i'm not paricularly religious but i still pray for casey anthony, i pray she'll come clean and let the soul of her sweet child rest.

I would not read any book or see any movie about this. My hope had been that Caylee could be found alive but....I really don't think that is going to happen. Shame on Casey for not telling the truth about Caylee. She knows exactly where she is and what happened to her! Her mom and dad are in denial.
