Sources Claim Caylee Anthony DNA Test Results Are Accurate
August 28, 2008
During today's press conference, Captain Angelo L. Nieves was evasive when questioned about DNA test results in the Caylee Anthony case. Instead, Nieves suggested that the results, which he described as "preliminary", were still being evaluated.
Earlier today, a source close to the investigation told Investigation Discovery that tests conducted on both a stain and hair samples found in the trunk of the car Casey Anthony was driving indicate that Caylee is dead. The source who provided that information to ID maintains that it is factual and accurate.
Local6.com is now reporting that they have confirmed similar information about the hair samples. An article on their Website reads in part:
"Hair samples found in the trunk of Casey Anthony's car are definitely that of her daughter, Caylee, and the hair samples do show signs of decomposition, Local 6 confirmed Thursday."
Investigators have yet to publicly comment on the test results.

Full Coverage : Casey Anthony Case

Did you see Nancy Grace's show tonight? (Thursday) when they showed the video of Casey getting in the SUV with her backpack in her back?
It looked that she was carrying a box in that backpack.
What if she had the cremated body of the baby in that backpack?
Somebody should check every move this girl does from now on. She may have hidden the body since she left jail.
I cannot wait until they put her back in jail, not because of her safety but because she did something really wrongful and killed her baby and now she wants to get away with the fact.

Well, regardless if the hair is hers or not, what is left to be determined if the hair was from a dead body or alive. Isn't that what medical examiner Baden had said once?

This whole case is such a big shame. All I can see is that the mother of this precious little girl has been building a big smoke screen to throw detectives and such off of her actual actions in this crime. While everyone is focusing so much on Casey Anthony and whether she is in or out of jail are they still taking the needed time and effort to find Caylee's body? With all the forensic science and technology of today how hard could it be to detect the whereabouts of this child? The reason this woman didn't report her daughter missing for 31 days is because she had to build her own case and buy time to keep herself from going to jail or being charged. I have not seen this mother once make any suggestion as to where her own child is or if she even cares. If my child were missing especially at that age, I would not be able to sleep, eat let alone function on a daily basis until I knew what had happened to her. This whole case doesn't seem to phase Casey one bit and she has just led people around in circles and will continue to do so until someone finally gets hard and interrogates her until she tells the truth. Justice will be served I hope because this little girl had every right to live a healthy, decent life to the fullest with the care of her family members if this mother could not take care of her, it is just another selfish act on her part to keep this a big secret and let everyone else suffer.

I think it was all planned, her parents let her spend time alone with her daughter so she could "bond" with Caylee. Maybe she is mad because she isnt daddys princess anymore and felt replaced by her daughter? Either way its no reason to kill your own child, she should just confess to give some closure to her parents. If I was Caseys mother Id beat her senseless until she told me where my grand daughter was. Oh and have they cleared the house of all sharp objects? She might try to commit suicide like Trenton Duckett's mom did 2 years ago.

But who is this source? I want to know what to believe and what not to believe in this case, and here we have some unnamed source who claims to be close to the investigation saying he or she has proof that the baby is dead while officials are saying they can't confirm or deny any allegations that it's true. This of all cases proves that we, the general public, cannot believe everything we hear. What if this is just aother stunt? How do we know otherwise? This woman is already guilty in the court of public opinion, but I do believe some assumptions should not be made. This is not an assumption of Casey's guilt; name-calling aside, she is guilty is some form or fashion. This assumption kills that shallow glimmer of hope we have that Caylee is okay. When authorities cannot confirm or deny anything, we have very little other than assumptions and unreliable "leaks" to go by. This isn't about innocent until proven guilty; this is about a baby and the little hope people have for her even still. I'm not foolish. I am aware that chances of a safe recovery of the baby are slim to none, but let's not try to jump to conclusions just for the sake of conclusion.

What really gets me is that she could have just said it was an accident. However, I think her family dynamics doesn't allow for accidents to happen. I must admit Casey is a product of poor parenting. Maybe she has a genetic disorder but Cindy was quoted as saying the baby would not be given up for adoption. At least Casey KNEW early on that she was incapable of caring for a child. Cindy on the other hand felt she knew what was best. Now this little angel is gone.
I think Cindy failed Casey. It doesn't forgive the lies that Casey has told but it explains a lot.

Casey Anthony needs to be put behind bars forever! Who can go out and party when their child is missing?? That for sure is not normal behaviour. I would be scouring every nook and cranny if it were my child. My eyes and body wouldn't be able to rest until she was found. Casey makes no sense in any of this missing child story except for the fact she is trying to cover her own butt and somehow it will all come about and maybe none of us will want to know the real story of what really happened to baby Caylee. Casey Anthony is not worth anything and the sad part....we will end up paying for her bed and meals in the jailhouse. God Bless Caylee.

I must admit my hope is fading fast. I have probably thought of every conceivable scenario which might result in this child being returned alive and I have prayed that it would happen that way. I am still praying and I suppose when I hear an official statement which includes conclusive evidence - hair, DNA, stain, smell-o-meter, whatever - proves that the child is dead, I will give up.
But I think our prayers need to continue. For the many, many children who are missing/endangered and don't make headlines. For the many law enforcement folks who have worked so hard and been so deeply affected by this case. For the family - even if they knew before or helped Casey hide something - because they have lost so much and the guilt and pain must be overwhelming. For Casey, too. She is mentally ill. It's easy to turn to vigilante justice and hate when we see someone whose behavior is so abnormal in circumstances like this but we really don't know how she felt or how sick she is. It may be hard to forgive someone who kills their own child, but God forgives and we are expected to do the same.
I'm not talking about blowing it off - if she killed her child and lied about it, then she must pay the price by serving whatever sentence is handed to her in court. However, the shame is on us if we hate this woman. I hate what she did but I feel I must forgive. God will be the ultimate judge.
I also am praying for all the bloggers and internet folks who have (like me) been obsessed with this case. I do feel personally betrayed because I held out hope. I think we will all be affected by the child's image and the details of this case for a long time.

Rebecca:
"Well, regardless if the hair is hers or not, what is left to be determined if the hair was from a dead body or alive."
Rebecca, I think ID and others are reporting that the test results DO indeed indicate it was hair from Caylee's decomposing body. Doesn't appear that there is any doubt it was Caylee's hair and it was from her decomposing body.
Anyone who still has even a shred of doubt as to the involvement of Casey Anthony in the demise of her daughter need only consider the following six unmitigated truths:
1. A mother says someone has her child and doesn't return her. Her reaction is for weeks to go hang out at clubs, restaurants, malls and theme parks (acting so cheerful and carefree that no one suspects she is upset or worried in the least) in hopes of seeing the babysitter and/or daughter.
2. A babysitter that no one has ever seen or talked with. The very same babysitter that supposedly lived at various addresses that prove impossible for her to have lived there during anything close to the time frames provided.
3. The only people she told about the disappearance of her daughter are non-existent co-workers for which she has no telephone numbers, addresses or mutual contacts, and cannot be traced by phone records, state of FL records databases or employer.
(You can bet LE has already checked SSN records for anyone with names of any spelling close to those given by Casey and came up with no hits on anyone in that age range having worked in FL during the time she says.)
4. A mother who works in nursing first notices and describes smell in car as that of a dead body. A father who works in law enforcement says the same thing. A tow truck driver who has impounded a previous vehicle in which a dead body was recovered reports the same thing. Two different cadaver dogs hit on the same area.
(Too many people with knowledge/experience of the unique smell to pass off as rotting pizza.)
5. A defense attorney who maintains he needs to remain vigilant to not expose his client to situations that may hurt her down the road.
If there was even the slimmest chance the child was still alive, it would be much less expensive and more advantageous to his client to locate her through intensive investigative measures than defending Casey through a lengthy trial. Complete exoneration through return of Caylee vs. a trial likely to convict your client. No-brainer.
(and just an aside...if I were a parent in the same situation and truly believed there was the slightest possibility my granddaughter was alive and I could save my daughter from a life in prison (or worse), I would be selling every possession I had and borrowing every cent I could get to make it happen. Not running around in circles with T-shirts and trailer signs.)
6. A wake of lies (not even half-truths) from the time Casey and Caylee left the parents house (remember...heading to Jacksonville?) to leading law enforcement down the halls at Universal to her supposed office. There's a reason that someone maintains such a staunch stance on the smallest of lies. It insulates and protects the larger lie.
It is IMPOSSIBLE to rationalize these basic truths regarding Casey Anthony and the disappearance of Caylee into ANY plausible outcome that would indicate Casey had no part in the demise of her daughter. It just cannot be done with ANY credibility.

I was reading an interview with Cindy Anthony (Caylees grandmother)on the Larry King Show from July 29th and it really shocked me. She said, "I'm very confident that Casey will be exonerated of all charges once we find Caylee, so that's why our focus is on trying so hard to find Caylee." Wouldn't most grandparents be focusing on trying to find their missing granddaughter because they want to get her back, not because they want their daughter to be exonerated? Cindy Anthony went on to say, "I beleive she (Caylee)is alive when Casey handed her over to the baby sitter." "At this point, I just hope to God that no one has done anything to her." It sounds to me like Cindy is trying to build a defense for Casey in case the police find Caylee's dead body. As a grandmother of four, this really makes me sick.

This is such a sad case, but I find myself addicted to it.
Why is Casey Anthony continually treated with kid gloves? It is obvious and has been obvious that Calyee is no longer alive and Casey is directly responsible for this. Perhaps her death was an accident, but I can not understand why Casey did not call 911 if that was the case. One of your viewers yesterday made a point I had not even considered. Casey left her purse in the car in plain sight so the car would be stolen, ther by giving her more to lie about.
I do feel terrible for Caylees' grandparente , Cindy and George, but in their heart of hearts how can they not know their daughter has lied from the onset. It makes Cindy look as though she is a stupid, foolish woman with her continued denial of the facts.
I hope this ends soon with Caylees little body found, and Casey Anthony in Jail for the remainder of her life.
Posted by: meredyth | August 29, 2008 at 05:16 AM
The hair samples were from Caylee. There must have been hair that contained the root or scalp attached to it in order to determine if there was decomp. The longer a body has been dead, the more hair falls out by the root. How much hair is detached from a body can often aid in determining how long a body has been dead. If we look at the evidence we are led to believe Caylee is indeed no longer alive. But just as Casey had tricks up her sleeve, so, I guess, does LE. That may be why there is no confirmation by them that Caylee is dead, but still alive. As far as her party pics, she will say that she had given Caylee to the babysitter for a few days, that she didn't know Caylee had been kidnapped at the time. She, with the help of Baez, have it all worked out. That is why there needs to be a body found, so her house of cards come tumbling down.

If Casey is a sociopath, as her own mother described her, then she feels no remorse and probably actually believes most of the lies she is telling.... and if her mother knew this about her, then why in the world would she allow her to take that precious little girl anywhere alone, let alone not even get worried about not seeing her granddaughter for all that time or talk to her??? I truly believe that Caylee is no longer alive and that her mother killed her... what must she have been thinking at that time of her mother? I could never hurt my children, they are my whole reason for existing!! I have (03) beautiful children, two boys and one girl... my daughter is four and she is the light of my life. I just don't understand how Casey can go on doing this to her family and to Caylee. That little girl deserves a proper burial! They should burn Casey at the stake!
Posted by: Terri | August 29, 2008 at 08:43 AM
Well, a child doesn't belong in the trunk of a car and it's safe to assume that if little Caylee WAS in the trunk, I doubt she was alive. If she was....it wasn't for long!
Posted by: Kelly | August 29, 2008 at 08:47 AM
they should try hypnosis with this monster...
she has not displayed one bit of remorse for (her claim) her daughter that is missing. everyone (except her parents) can see right through her and knows that she killed her defenseless little girl. i still cannot believe that i saw her on tv with a "wheres caylee" tshirt. shes unbelieveable!
Posted by: ughhhh | August 29, 2008 at 09:22 AM
I don't think Casey will take any immunity deal. She doesn't care if her family will have any closure to this case by telling authorities where Caylee's body is. She will sit on death row her whole life and deny, deny, deny. If authorities do not find the body themselves, she will never tell.
Posted by: krissy | August 29, 2008 at 09:33 AM
Does anyone else notice how the grandmother Cindy disputes and lies and "snaps" on the media. I understand people can be in denial, but it seems that the Grandmothers behavior is the same as Casey. They both are sticking to the lie. The brother, whom at first seemed credible, also is not addressing the "facts" of the case. The father stays quiet, which maybe indicates he is the only one grounded in truth... Seems like a "family" Cover up. lastly, please look further into the fact that bruises and cuts were observed & reported on this child by persons who saw her before her missing.
Posted by: Texas | August 29, 2008 at 10:33 AM
After all that has happened I think it is pretty obvious what is going on. Common Sense people! She obviously didnt intentionally kill this child, but what I do think (my opinion) is that she neglected this child to the point where the caylee was put in harms way and was killed in some accidental way. This mother is not a mother in my opinion. If my daughter was unaccounted for even for 15 minutes I would freak and run up and down the street screaming WHERE IS MY DAUGHTER!! Casey has a problem with pathologically lying and probably always has. I agree inoccent until proven guilty but in this case what sane person would wait and not contact authorithies for four weeks!! Things just dont add up. That precious child did not deserve this fate, but hopefully her mother will deserve hers!

I hate to see someone convicted before the trial but I smelled a rat on this from the beginning. Each new day brings more reasons to confirm my gut feeling that something terrible happend to Caylee and Casey knows it. My gut also tells me that during the secrete meeting with the DA yesterday the DA told her it's time to come clean. That he almost has enough evidence to get a death penality. If there are any extenuating circumstances that should be considered tell them now or they are fixing to hammer her sorry hyde and any mercy is off the table. Not that she deserves any mercy but we'd like to have Caylee so she can be properly buried. I bet we have a body before the end of next week. May God rest or bless Caylee's innocent soul! Throw moma to the lions for her evil deeds.

I feel way too much time and money is being spent on this one child. Especially since noone is telling the truth and just running in circles. My gosh Iwas listening to Larry King one evening and CINDY called in. We are overlooking her "serious" problems. SHe has been irrational since day one of this case..in fact as far back as when the child was pregnant and she denied it also (7 months) It is too sad that the child is missing (probably dead) and that the Grandmother is still in denial...or is she?? She and Casey share the same DNA and I am afraid both are totally not using any common or moral sense.......God bless them if they ever step into reality............

I knew Caylee has been dead and you know what her family knows they just make it look like the child was missing so that Casey wont go to jail they lost Caylee and they dont want to loss Casey too . Cindy wanted attention from midia saying to help her find Caylee know that she knows Casey killed Caylee she does not need the midia anymore I understand as a parents is not easy to realise that your own dougther murder someone . How much more do we need if it was not Caylee dead body in the trunk its still show she had a dead body in the trunk and if she don't talk then she gets the blame and she needs to get charge for murder she needs to go back to jail and she needs to be around other inmate so she could get kicked and punch so bad the last words comeing out her mouth will be yes I killed Caylee .what does she think . and that b.s Cindy said they dont talk about what happen in the house thats not true . The way Cindy is that she likes to control that can no be true . Cindy,Gorge,Lee they know very well she killed Caylee stop saying find the little girl cant wait for her to come home you all know very well she is dead so stop it with the show .show time is over . and I don't know if anybody works in that house I don't see anybody working are they getting money for this.

I have a feeling this whole thing is finally coming to a close whether or not Casey even opens her mouth to tell them. They already know what they know and hopefully they can get something out of her. I know a lot of people are upset that she is being offered some sort of immunity but unfortunately for our Justice system, that's the way it works. The main thing is they find the body of Caylee Anthony. To finalize everything and put worthless Casey behind bars for good. The woman is crazy and wanted to give her daughter up before she was born, maybe if Cindy Anthony had been listening to her daughter telling her she wasn't ready, this never would have happened. That little girl deserved a life and she never had a chance the minute worthless Casey brought her into this world. And as for Cindy, the woman should not even be allowed in the same room with children. That woman is just a messed up as her daughter, must run in the family eh? Regardless, this is about enough of this circus show the police just need to put an end to this and that whole crazy family before they start writing books about it, because that's what sadistic freaks do. They only care about themselves.

This is a sham. If it were me or you we would be under the jail by now.
Because her father was a cop? I dont care. Charge her take her to trail and get her in prison for life where she belongs.
That bondsman is holding off to revoke her bond to give her parents time to get the money. RUMOR CONTROL in Fla says they are going to use the reward money to bond her sorry self out of jail. OH HECK NO. I hope everyone who pledged a dime to the reward money backs out now.
Florida is sick of this and feel that everyone charged with murder should be given immunity if this psycho does or else sue for discrimation. We dont care who her family is.
The majority of the state feels grandma is a control freak who knows exactly what is going on and should also be charged as an accomplish.
Grandpa is the only sane one in the group and have you noticed he has not even been seen going to the mail box since the DNA results came in. He must be living in hell in that house with his psycho wife and daughter

Oh boy, now Cindy Anthony is accusing the car impound lot of placing a body in the trunk. She says her daughter's not going back to jail, she claims she never said the car smelled like a body...Oh, and this Cindy Anthony quote got me: "I haven't been getting any threats. Who said that? Did I come out and say that? Have I lied to any of you guys yet?" Whaaaaaat? Is she serious? She told reporters that she received threatening phone calls and emails. I heard her and saw her say it myself! All she does is lie. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree with this family.
Posted by: futonfraggle | August 29, 2008 at 11:49 AM
I cant get over seeing Cindy on Nancy Grace last night saying there is no new evidance ,the car never had a smell in it and Casey isnt going back to jail!WHAT!!This is the craziest family ever. All of them. They know we are watching but still change their story.I have felt all along this poor baby is dead.If by some chance she is alive please tell me she wont be returned to them!

Waiting On Forensics: I'm 100% with you on everything you said. To further add: Casey may not have killed the child, but is definitely covering up for the death...accidental I believe. I think Casey will go to any lengths to keep her parents thinking that she's totally innocent. I feel that her father was (and is) very controlling and angry....better to lie about one thing and another than incur his wrath. What a pain in the butt Casey has probably been to her parents since reaching puberty, which is somewhat par for a teenager. But with a father like George Anthony, a person had better be covering their own @$$ at all times and be really good at lying. I truly believe that Casey just can't bring herself to tell her folks that Caylee is dead. She fears she'll be shunned or worse.
Posted by: Janet | August 29, 2008 at 12:09 PM
waiting on forensics....
your analysis of Casey's actions mirror mine exactly. Even without evidence her actions/reactions are textbook criminal. Hasn't the girl ever watched a crime show before? Its comical that she thought she could outsmart experienced detectives and technology. Now she ( and with all probabality her family as well) have realized that she can't just lie and hope that the "nanny " will show up and take blame. They are running around doing damage control. I bet there are more tricks up their sleeve. But I don't think they will work. I just waiting for the other shoe to drop. If Caylee turns up burned or somehow tampered with post mortum then I am going to say that the family ( especially the ex-deputy father) were involved in Caylee's disposal , in which case I would say that Casey did directly kill Caylee. If Caylee seems like she was disposed of quickly ( without much planning) then it may have been an accident and Casey acted on her own. I know its sad, I wish it turned out different. Any other ideas?
Posted by: cybersleuth | August 29, 2008 at 12:13 PM
I think it's highly unlikely that her body will be found. If Casey "disposed" of her daughter's body in any body of water (and there are lots in that particular area) the alligators and/or other wildlife have most likely already destroyed all the evidence. I think she thought this through and did her research. Sad
Posted by: Angie | August 29, 2008 at 12:18 PM
Padilla reported today that Casey's friends have stated: "Casey loved Caylee too much to harm her". Well then, show me the love. Where it is now?
Cindy Anthony remarked today:
"Maybe someone put a body in the car after it went to the tow yard. Why don't you call them about their security?"
Cindy said she is frustrated the media is focusing too much on Casey, and is not out looking for the missing 3-year-old, who she insists is still alive."
I feel as if I'm living in the netherworld following this case. Once the evidence is solid, the law needs to come down hard on all who knowingly and willinging obstructed justice and tampered with evidence in this case.
Posted by: Skylonda | August 29, 2008 at 12:29 PM
What if Casey has multiple personality disorder and SHE is Zaneida Fernandez Gonzalez! Whatever - this is such a sad case and it's heartbreaking to see Caylee's pictures and that video.
I feel for the grandparents, yet Cindy really annoys me.
I don't have hope anymore that Caylee is alive and I pray Casey gets what she deserves and spends the rest of her life in jail. She will be like Scott Peterson and never ever confess she had anything to do with it.
Posted by: caslin | August 29, 2008 at 12:52 PM
Seems like insanity would be a good defense in this case. The problem is that this would have to include her parents and anyone else who has believed her delusional and manipulative behavior.
My guess would be that Casey, or someone she knows, accidently killed little Caylee and invented the kidnapping story to cover themselves. Perhaps it was an accidental drowning? Maybe she left Caylee in a hot car too long? Possibly, she was angry and spanked or schook her too hard? Self serving, unbalanced and scared, the story of a nanny and so on took shape. The fact is that it is a distorted, ever and at the same time, never evolving tale. We will see.

How does a mother "accidenly" kill her child?
And why would she hide it and not be devastated by it?
This twit and her whole family are worthless.
I am so surprised by the fact that given all the evidence and her refusal to help in anyway, that she is free and out walking around!!
Anyone else would be in jail for murder or suspicion of murder.
What gives?
Hair fibers show decomposition, this woman is another Susan Smith. Put her away for ever.
She had her free time out partying while the poor child was laying somewhere.
And how does anyone now she didn't intentionally kill her?
Why else would she lie and cover it up?
Her other Cindy, deny deny. Blind to a liar daughter.
Yes you love your kids, but you aren't blind to their ways or defend outrageous behavior. At least good mothers don't.

God Bless Baby Caylee, that poor little girl did not deserve what her selfish and irresponsible mother did to her, its freakin obvious that what happened was not an accident because casey did not want a child in the first place. Now when Casey's parents were gone for a month this gave Casey the perfect opportunity to get away with murder. What is wrong with Casey Anthony? I'll tell you whats wrong with her she was jealous of her own daughter, she only cares about herself and saving her own butt instead of stepping up to the plate and admitting what she did, and leading authorities to Caylee's whereabouts she created a web of lies, and now no matter what happens her life is over, and casey most definitely deserves to be locked up for life and be reminded of what she did to her daughter everyday.
Posted by: Mexirican | August 29, 2008 at 01:58 PM
I have followed this case from the beginning and have always believed this self-centered socipath Casey knew all along what happened to her daughter. I first thought that this could have been an accident, but it was no accident. Any mother who's child dies from an accident, at some point, would have to show some kind of emotion. If it was an accident she would mourn her child, however, if she did not want her and killed her she would not care..........just like she is acting. She has no concerns and could care less because she killed her and knows exactly what happened to her. I cannot believe all this flip-floping around with the bail being revoked, come on, put the #@$%# back in jail and let her rott just like she let her daughter in the back of her car. As far as her mother, I do feel for her, she is in complete denial, but at the same time, she continues to defend her daughter, and has in other situations....... when casey had stolen money, lied, ect.. and it just shows she enables her daughters actions. That entire family has severe issues!!! I have said from the beginning, it was only a matter of time and the truth will come out, and maybe when they find her body, what is left of it,then Cindy may........... actually GET IT.
Posted by: abby | August 29, 2008 at 02:28 PM
Lisa, don't take this the wrong way. I just don't understand how it's "obvious" that she didn't intentionally kill this child. I don't understand how you can tell. A lot of children die from accidents but the parents usually don't try to cover it up or deny it. I know she is probably a sociopath, but to go thru all of the trouble just for an accident? I am not sure. Although if it were an accident maybe she freaked out and has made herself believe what she wants. I find it odd that it just so happens that Caylee goes missing right around the time that Casey and Cindy have a big blow out.

Like everyone else I myself have become addicted to this tragic event.I can't say when I watched a baseball game. However I cannot believe how this grandmothers face(Cindy Anthony) was in every camera when this first started and now shes being so mean to them(media)that she puts signs in her yard. Also my own hat goes off to Mr. Pedilla for his concern in the finding of Little Caylee. For that one attorney on Nancy Grace to say he is only out for publicity blows me away.Attorneys thrive on publicity.I've read Mr Pedilla background and I really don't think he left his own family and business miles and weeks to come hear for publicity?? Its just sad for now so much time has lapsed and any remains of Poor Caylee IF the test do come back all positive that she will ever be found.Especially because I live walking distance from their home and I fish alot of the ponds and areas that they have pointed towards looking and most all of the small lakes out that way are alligator Infested.I do hope they find Something so the Anthonys and the Nation can put closure to this Terrible loss.As for Casey She will most likely spend the rest of her life in a mental facility and pay her price at the gates of HELL !!!!

I'd like for a law to be passed an eye for an eye!! I'm a strong believer that your fate should be in the same manner as the life you've taken, Casey Anthony! I don't know how you sleep at night! I hope everytime you close your eyes-you hear your daughter crying, "mommy-please don't hurt me". I hope to GOD that you really GET what's coming to you because you truly DO NOT DESERVE to BREATHE the same air as NORMAL human beings!!!!!!!!DO us all a favor and climb in the TRUNK of someones car! Did you steal the gas from your father to burn the remains of Caylee? Borrow the neighbors shovel to bury here but then got nervous that someone might actually find her!!!!!!! U R SICK and should have the same demize as Caylee!!!

You won't find Casey's name on any high-school diploma, you cant find the name of Caylee's father on the birth certificate, you wont find Casey's name on any recent credit cards, bank statements, car loans, apartment leases, college applications, pay stubs, nothing. If Casey Anthony disappeared off the face of the earth, the only thing she could leave of any type of reminder as to her accomplishments in life was her daughter. Now, she does not even have that ability. Caylee's demise served one purpose, and that was to free Casey from any type of connection to what she probably hated the most -her own life. You add up all her failures, and you can't tell me she was proud of them! Everything she did, she did at the pleasure of her parents, her car, where she lived, where she got money. They controlled Casey before through Caylee. The only efforts Casey ever made to emancipate her self from her parents was when she stole from her friends, from her parents and it seems that all her lies where to create the world she wanted to live in. For 31 days, Casey had what she probably dreamed about for years, and that was freedom from her crazy mom. Based on what I see coming from Cindy Anthony, Casey lies so much because she learned it from her mother. It is interesting that she called her daughter a sociopath, it might take one to know one.
Casey killed Caylee on purpose, and the fact that her parents are sitting in the same house with her now and have been for more than a week without so much as a scream coming from inside that house, makes me have to ask if they really care about any of this, or are they more concerned about image and what the neighbors will think when this is all over. The Anthony's scream and threaten the press more than they do Casey. Call me old fashioned, however if either of my two sons every pulled the crap that Casey pulled, they would have one option: tell me where my grandchild is, or the next thing you hear will be a heart monitor and ventilator machine when you wake up in an ICU ward. Classic example of how you can love your kids to death, or in this case your grandkid! The sickest part of this is that Casey probably considers her failures more important as defining who she is rather than her one greatest accomplishment-Caylee, which is why she got rid of it.

Is anyone snapping on the fact that if it was indeed an accident she would have been surprised, upset, horrified! No, she was calm and happy and began to live the life she wanted. I read the discovery and she is a nutjob for lack of a better word. She lied about everything and to everyone. All of her friends were forthcoming about that. She killed the baby that was in her way and then began to go about her business with her new boyfriend. The cadaver dogs and the Body Farm test prove there was a dead body in her trunk. Who else would it have been? I agree with most that the whole family should be locked up. What goes on in that house with her home? Is her mother asking her what she wants for breakfast? How do you go on like that? I would have already been arrested for beating the crap out of my kid until she told me what actually happened. I hope she does not get immunity and I hope she is locked up the rest of her life. She is evil.

I am of the ilk having watched this fiasco from the beginning, that we are dealing with a situation in which Casey in some fashion, caused little Caylee's death... Probably by irresponsibly leaving her in the car where the little one then expired. Being a nacissistic and habitual liar who had thus far in her life been able to get away with so many other lies yet suffered little consequence as a result, (to the point of actually believing her own spin of the events), disposed of Caylee's body, and conjured up this story, and is sticking to it despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. It will take finding Caylee's body to convict Casey and even then, we will find she goes to prison saying she is innocent..., that someone else did it. We will never have true closure in this case. This is so sad for everyone, including America, Caylee's grandparent's, (as delusionary as they are), and even Casey herself, for no one will ever have true closure, and Casey herself will never know the peace that comes with "The truth will set you free"... I pray for all of us. As for her grandparents, I pray they will come to their senses and quit enabling Casey's lies, as for little Caylee..., she is now home and at peace... God bless her soul.

I am getting more disgusted as this case goes on. Jose Baez and Cindy are protecting this monster and it is sickening. I do not believe Casey would have purposely killed Caylee but her actions after the fact are disturbing, and the people defending Casey are disturbing.
I mean, come on, she baked Jose Baez brownies and brought them to him this morning. Now she is Martha Stewart? Get real!!!
Fess up now Casey. Let us put Caylee to rest in peace.

this whole thing bothers me to no end, casey runs around spending all her daily time with her lawyer hmm makes you wonder whats up. how can she see all those photos around her house of caylee an show no emotion at all. also tests show dead body in trunk was she riding around bar hopping with caylee dead in the car, she makes me sick. her mother all of a sudden is clueless an agree they should be charged with obstruction they know alot more than they are saying one minute it smells like a dead body in car now she saying she didnt say it come on people give it up, you think they would tell the truth whatever it is so caylee an be put at peace.IF my daughter did this to my grandchild hell have no fury in the house till i knew the truth. accident if it was she would have fessed up by now i wouldnt offer her nothing she need to pay for whatever she did alot of man hours an money wasted on a lie when other children are missing an could be found.makes me so angry

Oh, to be a fly on the wall during the meeting between Jose Baez and Leonard Padilla.
What could Mr. Baez say that convinced Mr. Padilla to change his mind about revoking bond for Casey?

I am like most of you and believe that Casey is guilty. If you think back to the start of all of this she did steal a credit card from her mother and ran up 45 thousand dollars on it. What child, who lives under their parents roof, would do that UNLESS they knew that they had done something worse and that would out weigh the money they charged. I believe that it was a accident and she freaked out. She hide the body because she could not handle dealing with her parents or losing her boyfriend.
I am a parent and if I did something to my child that killed them accidently or not I would want to be locked up for the rest of my life. I don't understand why she is being so calm. This proves to me that she is CRAZY!!!!!! I pray for the family who I believe is crazy also and I pray that someone finds that little girl soon

This case makes me sooo mad! I just want someone to knock some sense into that girl! She has done something to that child, whether accidentally or purposely, and she knows what she did, that's why she won't talk.
Yes, her parents are cooperating with the investigation, but I truly believe they are involved someway, somehow. Her mom has always defended her when she KNEW she was lying in the past. Her parents may not have known what happened with Caylee at the time it happened, but I believe they knew AFTER the fact and they are helping cover Casey's tracks too. There is something psychologically wrong with this WHOLE FAMILY!

Cindy is so brainwashed it's unbelievable. of course noones mother wants to beliee that their own child killed their grandchild but it's about time this family faces reality. They have an excuse for EVERYTHIN!!!!!!!!! Cindy says maybe someone put a body in Casey's car at the tow year, okay- what a coincidence seriously. I think my mom would finally see the truth and somehow force the truth out of me rather than continue to coddle me and blame everyone else. Cindy is really sick and twisted too. Wasn't she the one who first called and initiated this whole thing? And wasn't she the one who said that Casey's car smelled like a dead body? Let alone calling her daughter a sociopath. I think it's been long enough and EVERYONE just needs to come back into reality and see the evidence for what it's worth. it's NOT a coincidence, it's not someone else's DNA and Caylee is not out the with a babysitter. I want to just shake the whole family, it's so frustrating and Caylee had to pay for the dysfunctional family that she was born into. What a shame.

This is my take. Something happend around fathers day. Maybe an accident maybe not. Either way, Casey stuck this poor child in the trunk. Freaked out. Made calls. She was scared, but only for herself. She hid the body. Maybe burned it. Buried it. But I'm sure she had help. Grandmother gets worried. Smells the car. Instinct tells her what happened. She started off doing what was right. Called the police, even stated it smelled like there was a dead body. Then maybe she started thinking, "I've just lost my granddaughter, I can't bring her back, I don't want to loose my daughter too". So, she started covering up for Casey.
Now, with that said, it's time SOMEONE started caring about poor innocent Caylee, instead of worrying so much about this pathalogical lying grown woman.
Had this of been different. Maybe this was an accident. Casey could have called police. She could have given this little girl her final day. Time for her family to say goodbye and have proper grieving time. She would have had one last chance to wear her favorite dress and jewlery. Have her hair combed and everyone who loves her around saying goodbye. Casey robbed her daughter of that. Her body is probably burned and buried somewhere, unrecognizable and decomposing somewhere, and if she ever gets the guts to say where, she will be stuffed inside a closed box and put back in the ground. Casey stole her life and her peace, all for herself. Caylee's grandparents need to realize this and stand up for their granddaughter.
We all make mistakes and maybe that's how this started, but everything that followed was NOT a mistake. It has been thoughtout and intentional. She has never once showed any love for Caylee and now the grandparents aren't either. Poor, poor Caylee.

Friday night: 8:15 pm
She's been arrested . . taken out of the house by the lead Detective Allen and several others . . large group of police cars came and left within minutes . . . Casey handcuffed and put into unmarked SUV driven by officers.
If "planned" lawyer would have escorted her.
Talking heads claiming this is it, she's been arrested on more charges.
