Bigfoot Press Conference
August 15, 2008
Tom Biscardi, Chief Executive Officer of Searching for Bigfoot, Inc., Matthew Whitton and Rick Dyer held a press conference at the Cabana Hotel-Palo Alto in Palo Alto, California, moments ago, during which time they presented photographic and DNA evidence to back up claims that they have a dead Bigfoot creature in their possession.
During the conference, Whitton and Dyer described how they found the creature, details which were released in a post here yesterday, and fielded questions about why they did not contact a doctor or scientist when they first made the discovery.
"We didn't know whom to call or who we could trust," Whitton said. "It was equivalent to if you had the biggest diamond in the world in your possession. Who would you call?"
According to Dyer, the creature is now in Biscardi's possession and is being kept in a cold storage unit, until it can be examined by a team of scientists sometime next week.
After Whitton and Dyer addressed the press, Biscardi took the podium and showed new photos of the creature, including close-ups of the face. Biscardi said he was releasing the new photos to the press to, "prove to all of you people that it is not just a mask."
When asked by one reporter if the discovery was a hoax, Biscardi had this to say:
"This is as real as you standing right where you are sir."
The press conference came to and end moments later, as Biscardi handed out photos and DNA test results to the media.

Well, you DON'T call one of the world's most well known fake diamond peddlers, for starters. Which is essentially what they've done by bringing Tom Biscardi into the game - the guy is a well-known hoaxer who has been busted at least twice in the past, once trying to sell pay-per-view access to see a 'captive bigfoot' he had in Arizona. Later he claimed he was 'hoodwinked by a crazy lady.' Untrustworthy is a kind word to use for him, he's been described by other (non-profit motivated)Bigfoot groups as a 'vulture'.
I'd have more sympathy if any of these people deserved it. They are a pack of liars and fakers without the sense to realize how deep they've really dug themselves this time. At the very least, the Georgia police officer ought to lose his job over this fiasco.
