Caylee Anthony's Grandmother Said Daughter's Car Smelled Like "Dead Body"
July 25, 2008
There have been several new developments in the case of 22-year-old Casey Marie Anthony, a Florida woman who was recently arrested on charges related to her missing 2-year-old daughter, Caylee.
Yesterday, the Orange County Sheriff's Office released two 911 calls that were made by Casey's mother on the night of July 15.
Listen to the second 911 call
On the first call, an emotionless Cindy Anthony told the emergency dispatcher, "I have someone here that needs to be arrested in my home and I have a possibly missing child. I have a 3-year-old that's been missing for a month."
When asked who she would like to have arrested, Cindy replied, "My daughter, for stealing an auto and stealing some money."
Less than an hour later, Cindy called 911 again; however in the second call her demeanor was significantly different and she sounded emotionally distraught.
"I found out my granddaughter has been taken, she has been missing," Cindy said. "My daughter finally admitted that she's been missing. ... My daughter finally admitted that the babysitter stole her. I need to find her."
After briefly explaining the situation, Cindy's voice begins to crack.
"There is something wrong," she said. "I found my daughter's car today [and] it smells like there's been a dead body in the damn car."
When Casey finally takes the receiver from her mother, she tells the dispatcher that her daughter has been missing for 31 days. When asked why she had not contacted the police sooner, Casey replies, "I've been looking for her [the baby sitter] and have gone through other resources to try to find her, which was stupid."
In addition to the release of the 911 calls, an unnamed source told WFTV.com that a concrete slab was recently poured in the Anthony family's backyard. The sheriff's office would not comment on the validity of the claim and Cindy was somewhat evasive when questioned about it.
"I have not talked to anybody about anything and I'm not making any comment about anything," Cindy told In addition to the release of the 911 calls, an unnamed source told WFTV.com yesterday, adding, "We do yard work around our house all the time and our yard has completely been looked at."
In regard to the search for Caylee, the Orange County Sheriff's Office is reporting that they have received hundreds of tips in the case and that are actively investigating each and every one of them. In regard to a report that Caylee was allegedly spotted at a Tampa airport on July 2, a spokesperson for the department told In addition to the release of the 911 calls, an unnamed source told WESH.com that the sheriff's office is not optimistic about the tip.
Casey Anthony has been in jail since July 16, when investigators arrested her and charged her with child neglect, making false official statements, and obstructing an investigation.
"Based on the repetitive lies that the defendant has told, we do not know with whom the child is or even if the child is alive," Corporal Yuri Melich wrote in Casey's arrest affidavit. He added, "It should be noted that at no time during any of the above interviews did the defendant show any obvious emotion as to the loss of her child."
On July 22, Circuit Court Judge Stan Strickland chastised Casey for her behavior and set her bail at $500,000.
"Not a bit of useful information has been provided by Ms. Anthony as to the whereabouts of her daughter," Strickland stated. "And I would add that the truth and Ms. Anthony are strangers."
Read The Arrest Affidavit
Casey's family has been unable to post her bond and yesterday her lawyer, Jose Baez, filed a writ of habeas corpus, asking that she be released from jail so that she can aid in the search for her daughter.
Calls to the Anthony family were not returned at the time the time of this articles publication.
Watch Caylee's Video
Casey's family has set up a Web site to collect donations and have turned Casey's MySpace profile into an information hub for details on the search.
Caylee Anthony is described as a white female, 3' tall, 35 pounds, with shoulder-length, light brown hair and hazel eyes. Anyone with information is asked to call the Los Orange County Missing Persons Unit at 407-254-7000 or the Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477). A $25,000 reward is being offered for information leading to Caylee's safe return.

Why did Cindy Anthony change her tune about the smell of a dead body to the smell being that of old pizza. Did she change her tune because thats what her daughter who is clearly a liar told her. I dont think trained dogs would be alerted to the smell of old pizza! Get a clue!

I am sickened by this whole story. Ive turned in things Ive found on mypace and I can tell you from what I have found Casey did not seem distraught over the disappearnce/kidnapping of her daughter in the month of June if in fact she was missing in June. We all know something is not right and the only ones who know the truth are God, Casey, and whoever has Caylee (if someone really even has her)
After listening to the 911 calls, I personally think even in the first 911 call the gandmother does seem upset to a degree and then in the second 911 call when she finds out Caylee has in fact been taken she is even more so upset.. So I wouldn't agree that she is emotionless in the first 911 call. I do however feel like she is now helping cover up something.. maybe something Casey had told her. If in fact those turn out to be Caylee's hair they found in the trunk of the car, maybe they should exhume the supposedly dead father and do a dna test to see if the supposedly dead father is in fact the real father if he isnt maybe they should be finding out who the real father is ... so many avenues they can take on this case.. I just want that poor little girl found as Im sure we all do.

I'm wondering if Casey's nanny was the car. You know? If she left the baby in the car alone long enough for the baby to succumb to the heat, came back and saw what happened and panicked. She would've then moved the baby to the trunk, and once the smell set in she had to dispose of the body and the car separately. There's no doubt that she abandoned the car because of the smell, and if it were pizza, she could've gotten rid of the smell easily.

This case has made me physically nauseous, knowing that this poor child has been endangered and the mother has no obvious concern. I have a three year old daughter, and the very thought of her being kidnapped or hurt in some way, literally makes ill. Anyone who has a child, SHOULD know that inexplicable profound love you feel for this innocent life you brought into this world, and SHOULD feel the absolute responsibility and expectation to protect and keep that child safe and loved.
Why can't they give her a polygraph test? and ask her point blank if she knows anything about Caylee? though she seems to be such a good liar, and obviously is callous and has no regards for family (stealing from her mother etc.), that she probably could pass the test. Listening to her jail calls, it's amazing that her friend Christina was the one crying and saying "IF anything happened to my baby caylee, I would die" and Casey responds "I can't get into this now. I need Tony's number." Your child is missing, possibly dead, and you want to talk to your boyfriend??? None of it makes sense, and there needs to be closure. For everyone following this case, and most importantly for Caylee. I pray she is alive, but somehow it doesn't seem that plausible anymore. Cadaver dogs finding the scent of a corpse in Casey's car??? she not reporting her child missing for supposedly 31 days?? hiding the fact that her daughter was missing from her own family?? Please let Caylee be ok. None of it is normal by any stretch of the imagination.

Angela Smith.... You think you are so wise. I'm sorry, but I'm sure if Casey Anthony is going to admit where her little girl is, its not going to be some random quack. Get over yourself.

Has any one ever thought that the grandmother might have did something and the daughter covering up for her? I mean if this was my grandchild I would be crying, upset, not able to talk. This woman jsut yells at reporters, shes lieing as much as the daughter, she touches herself to much, plays with her hands, touches her face.... when the detective was on the stand at the bail hearing why was the grandma there shaking her head saying she never said things but then the truth came out now shes changing her story again...
Posted by: Dixie | July 26, 2008 at 09:33 PM
We are praying for Caylee's s afe return. But everone has seemed to have lied during this whole time!! This story is not normal!!! Get a grip. THE DAUGHTER, AND GRANDMOTHER NEEDS TO BE BOTH IN JAIL!!!!!!!! How can they sleep at night!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted by: Julie | July 26, 2008 at 09:54 PM
I feel an accident occured, such as leaving the child in a hot car to long...and as a result...Casey then went into denial and this is the outcome of a horrible accident...I also believe her mom is in denial and knows in her heart her Grandchild will not be alive when found...I guess the goal is to stand by Casey at this time until she feels safe to tell the truth...and bring this little angel to a proper resting place...
Posted by: jan | July 27, 2008 at 10:54 AM
The girl is a lier and the grandmother does know the truth but she is protecting her daughter .. Casey does need to take a polygraph and maybe some questions will be answered, I dont think the whole car thing ppl are saying is true , I think that Casey is a partier and she was not able to live the life she wanted to live , But why wouldn't she give Caylee up for adoption or give her to her grandparents ? this whole story makes me sick .. she is a nasty person and does not deserve to have a daughter . I hope Caylee is found alive and safe , If not I hope she can be layed to rest properly .
Posted by: COOKIE9382 | July 27, 2008 at 02:33 PM
What if the mom in the first 911 call was just trying to get the cops to her house to scare Casey . Maybe she wanted her to get nervous about the police coming so thats why she said those things about the car and money missing. On the other hand what if this case is related to Trenton Duckett and Casey was doing drugs and sold her child. There are no possible answers. Case shoeing no remorse is kind of whacky
Posted by: chris | July 27, 2008 at 09:17 PM
Why does Casey want to talk to her boyfriend so badly? Why does she not already have the number, she was living with him right? Wasn't Caylee living there too? If she disappeared on June 9th how could the grandparents have seen her on June 15th? There are way too many unanswered questions. I've personally seen people do really bad things while on drugs, selling all their stuff, their kids begging the neighbors for food so it could be that too. I hope someone has Caylee and they are taking care of her but if that was the case I'm sure they would have come forward by now. I really hate to see these news stories about children, parents are supposed to protect them. I'd gladly give my life for my child, not the other way around.
Posted by: Sandy | July 27, 2008 at 10:21 PM
I thought it was odd that she didn't have her boyfriend's number too. Did he change it? Also, it was clear that family and friends were determined no to give her the number. Why?
I have read that friends say that Tony (the boyfriend) and they believed that she was working as an events planner for Universal. She told the boyfriend that she was allowed to work from his computer. Also, Casey partied with her boyfriend on the 4th of July and cooked dinner for him and his roommate. She must have been taking a break from her own "investigation" into Caylee's appearance then. I'd sure like to know what she bought when she was using her mom's charge cards.

Vanessa: No disrespect to you at all but its possible have missed what was said in between the lines of Angela Smith's comment. What what I got from reading AS's comment the first time is a very painful process that would violate the suspects rights and is something better left to professionals (or in a pinch, the inmates at the jail Ms. Anthony is being held at). I am not necessarily against such practices, I am just throwing out the FYI.
On the other hand the Devil's Advocate (read; cynic) in me will say that AS just got finished watching "Gone Baby Gone" because what was suggested is the plot of that movie.

Sorry Irritated. I didnt make that comment someone named Vanessa did. I made thecomment above that. I now know what it feels like to be accused of something I didnt do. I guess that will be a lesson to me.

Sorry again it was actually John!
Posted by: Angela Smith | July 28, 2008 at 11:14 AM
For everyone saying it is weird that she didn't know Tony's number, think how many of us store the number in our cell phones under the person's name or whatever... How many of us actually dial a number every time we call it? I can personally say that I couldn't recall half the numbers stored in my cell phone and I talk to these people on a regular basis.
Posted by: Amy | July 28, 2008 at 11:57 AM
Here is my take on this. It is obvious Casey has a very manipulative and extreme narcissistic personality. Somehow the child died in her care... may be left in the car with the windows rolled up. She doesn't want to admit she is a failure as a mother so she has to dispose of the body and then go about her life as if nothing has happened. She will never admit to any wrong doing. This will go to trail and Caylee will never be found. Casey's mind is so warped that she has convinced herself that she is innocent. Its all so sad.

HAS ANYONE CONSIDERED CONTACTING A PSYCHIC AND/OR PSYCHICS WHO WORK WITH F.B.I.,POLICE ETC? MY PRAYERS ARE WITH CAYLEE AND FINDING HER ALIVE AND WELL! GOD BLESS YOU CAYLEE!!!!!!
Posted by: caroljkent | July 28, 2008 at 12:03 PM
Eric, I agree with your comment. FYI, the authors of the above comments name appears beneath the comment, and beneath the dotted line. This is clumsy and makes it appear as though the author is commenting the text beneath the name. Be sure you know who is writing which comment.
So, now Casey is saying that she can't say too much because she's afraid for herself and her family? And yet she's already named the supposed babysitter anyway? If she's too afraid to talk, why name the babysitter in the first place? What does she think she can tell the FBI that she can't say to local authorities? I wish they'd go ahead and send in an agent to see what tales she spins with them. They're trained to know when someone is lying, but, with this girl, nearly everything out of her mouth is a lie anyway. I'm tired of hearing her mom defend her when she knows darn well the only person holding up this investigation is her own daughter.
After hearing the way Casey speaks to her friends and family, and realizing that Casey's priority is Casey, I think she's capable of just about anything. She's not even good at manipulating. She's pretty transparent.
Posted by: Tea | July 28, 2008 at 03:17 PM
does this incompetant atty Baez have a website?
Posted by: eddie | July 28, 2008 at 06:59 PM
The FBI has said they will be glad to step in if asked, I guess they can't do anything until then. I think they made the bond so high because they're sure Casey will run if she gets out and they still won't have any info on Caylee. Did you see where they want to release the jail visit video between Casey and her mom. Why would they do that? Do they believe they are in this together or something? I've never heard of anything like that before.
Posted by: Sandy | July 28, 2008 at 07:12 PM
My question is this. why are the police releasing these phone conversations from jail in the first place? Are they trying to stop getting information? now that she is aware that they are being recorded her and her crazy mother will clam up. Would it not make more sense to set back and let them talk? I do hope that they find that beautiful little girl. this whole thing is too crazy.

does anyone know this nutcase baez's website address
Posted by: eddie | July 28, 2008 at 07:29 PM
From what I understand, Florida law requires that law enforcement release the calls. They probably are not happy about it either.
Posted by: Tea | July 28, 2008 at 08:21 PM
I have read all of the comments previously posted, and I have a new question. Has anyone ever considered if this is a "Susan Smith" scenario gone completely off of the deep end? It is obvious that the mother has no concerns & no regrets as far as her child is concerned (WHY? HOW SICK CAN SOMEONE BE?). It is looking more & more every day like the grandmother knows more than she is letting on, but is somehow being manipulated by her daughter. I haven't heard too much speculation about the "boyfriend", but it sure seems strange that she has only been dating him for two months, and that poor child has been missing for a little over a month. The grandmother obviouly lied in court when she said that she had contact with her daughter every day that she was gone, and proved to be a liar when the authorities released the 911 call for all of America to hear. What is wrong with this family? What is wrong with her attorney? Sadly, these questions need to be answered. Good or bad...an innocent, beautiful child is being tossed around like a "rag doll" by these people, and it has got to stop.
Posted by: Molly | July 28, 2008 at 09:06 PM
I agree with Molly. This is one bizarre case. Why hasn't the mother shown any concern that her daughter is missing? She has been missing, and Casey is not the least bit concerned. It makes my stomach turn.
What about the evidence found in her car? Soon the police will release the results. What then?
Casey's attorney should be ashamed of himself. How desperate is he for attention representing this woman? It is obvious that this young woman lacks the the conscience to be able to show legitimate concern for the well-being of an innocent child.
Where is the child's fathers' family while all of this going on?
Why does the grandmother continue to lie, and cover up her granddaughter's disappearance?
Where is "Tony"? When did he last see Caylee?
What about her cell phone records? WELL???
Can anyone out there answer any of these questions?

This case is making me physically ill. I am sick of looking at the grandmother and listening to her yelling at the media and everyone across America. I am positive that child is dead!! The police need to get a court order to dig up every inch of that yard, concrete, etc. at the grandomother's house and put an end to the family's ridiculous lies!!! Just charge Casey with first degree murder and let the facts come out in court. They have enough circumstantial evidence against her at this point to at least charge her and I am sure any jury would convict her!!! The girl is a sociopath and she deserves the death penalty for this horrendous crime.
I am curious about the $45,000.00 shopping spree that she
went on. Did she purchase any clothes, toys, etc for her daughter??? I bet she did not because she knows that she is dead!!!

hi. first of all i think the whole family is a bunch of "dark-birds" ... creepy people. even the mom's attorney Jose'-or-whatever is a creepy-jerk. i seen Mr-Jose'-Attorney on the Nancy Grace show & i was APPALLED that he was LAUGHING & JOKING & just really making light of the whole situation. i think possibly little Caylee was sold in return for drugs. this is my opinion.
Thanks,
Theresa

I live in sc and watched america watch the susan smith saga. My heart just ached for those little boys and it does for this beautiful little girl. This seems just too much like it. The mother denies any involement just as susan did. I believe the grandmother from the 1st comments she made on Nancy Grace that she knew something. I told my husband right then.....she knows!
Truth will come out and I pray Caylee is ok...but it's not looking likely.
I say give the grandmother and mother a lie dectector test and agree with others...get a court order and go over the grandparents yard and house again!

I found Tony's myspace page. Anthony Lazzaro. It's set to private, mood is disgusted, and the message is no comment.
This link:
http://blogs.discovery.com/criminal_report/2008/07/timeline-of-eve.html
provides an interesting time line. The since-deleted myspace postings of Casey and Cindy are chilling.
From what I've heard, the child's real father died in a car accident last year. Law enforcement has not debunked that.

I wish I could send a letter to Casey Anthony....I have a LOT to say to her.
She complains that the cops "aren't listening to her" and that she has given them info to find Caylee..
One day she knows Caylee is being taken up to Charlotte NC and the next she is sure Caylee is okay and is close to home.
The baby sitter's "apartment" is one that had been empty for 5 months.
She only cared about getting her boyfriend's phone number.
Casey, if there is a chance you read this, or hear about this, tell the truth!
You KNOW where your daughter is. Quit lying. This is your daughter, the child you carried in your belly, the child you gave birth to, the miracle that God trusted you with!!! Tell someone NOW where she is and what happened to her.
I do not believe for one minute that you can't tell anyone because of threats. You know what? If someone is threatening to kill you if you talk about where your child is, then talk anyway.
You have not shed a tear for her...not one.
When your friend cried to you, telling you she'd "die if anything happened to that baby" you get pissed at her!!! What kind of mother, what kind of friend, would do that??? If my child were missing, and someone told me that, I would NOT be mad at them, and say that people only care about Caylee...Do you want people to "care" about you?
No one should care about you. What makes you deserve any caring thoughts, when you have none for your own baby girl. Two years old. Beautiful little Caylee. She loved you.
If you killed her, how could you have looked at that beautiful little girl, who held nothing but love for you, and take her life away? How could you live with yourself??? I cannot imagine the fear and absolute horror she would have endured when she realized that her own mother gave no care to her whatsoever.
I have heard your conversations with your family. And I can say that there is no way you were a "loving mom who never raised her voice at Caylee" based on how you act when people ask for info on how to find her.
I'm just sickened. I just want the truth to come out. I pray that Caylee Marie is safe and unharmed, and the she will be given to a family that truely will cherish and love her, instead of this circus act of lies and ever changing stories.
If you did kill her, Casey, then I hope someone gives you the same treatment.

Premeditation in my opinion. Does Florida still have the death penalty? Big time stealing going on as said in Cindy's myspace, plans with Amy to move in together, stealing the car, lies lies lies about a nanny that no one has ever met, lies about a job, plans, preparation, and a big excuse for a missing baby and decomp smell in the yard and car. Premeditation, a jury might buy it.
Posted by: Vi | July 30, 2008 at 06:49 AM
If "Zeneida" has been the nanny for such a long time, why aren't there any photos of her? Why can't Casey remember where she lived? How could grandparents who were so involved in Caylee's life never have met the nanny? Where was Casey going all the time to need a nanny? She must have been making good money to afford one. Why won't the nanny come forward? Neighbors of the nanny surely could identify both the nanny and Caylee, or are they all in this conspiracy too? Grandma Cindy said she has copies of the "lists" of what Caylee liked to eat, etc. for the "nanny" - if someone has been watching your child for that long - they don't need a list, also, if the list was at Grandma's house, where Casey hadn't lived for over a month - she wasn't intending on giving them to anyone was she? Cindy also said something about Casey "hiding" the car in plain site - where Cindy drives by twice a day every day, yet it sat for how long before Cindy found it? So many unanswered questions, so many lies already spun............

On On the Record tonight, a guy who roomed with Tony Lazzaro during the last two weeks of June, and who DJ'd at Fusian says that Casey only met Tony on May 24th. That she only came to the club because of Tony and never did any promotional work there (see party pictures of Casey on June 20th. He said that during those last two weeks of June Casey never had the little girl with her and always said she was with the nanny or with Casey's parents. The transcripts from tonights show aren't up yet, so I can't quote.
Also, jail house conversation between Casey and her brother, Lee, yesterday show a very quiet and not so fired up Lee. I think that Lee is coming to grips with the fact that he can't verify anything Casey has to say. This is a terrible thing for this family. To lose their baby, and to come face to face with the fact that Casey very likely is responsible for what happened to her.

I am a Single Mom with a Daughter only 6 months younger than Caylee.
And I am OUTRAGED EVERY SINGLE NIGHT I SEE THIS SICKENING STORY OF MISSING CAYLEE.
(And, like Casey - I am Temporarily living at my Mom's House until I can get child support, since I am not making ends meet financially right now. And yes, I do work - full time.)
1. Where is ANYONE from the FATHER'S SIDE - ANYONE - FROM THE FATHER'S SIDE of the Family -- Although I do NOT believe the father died (just one more little red herring) personally, I want to know the NAMES of his parents -- they are Caylee's GRANDPARENTS ALSO!
and just as equally related to Caylee as the Mother of Casey is.
Also any other family members -- like Uncles, Aunts, Cousins from the FATHER'S SIDE ONLY of the Family -- I would LOVE to See COME FORWARD AND JOIN THE SEARCH.
UNLESS SOMEONE ON THAT SIDE OF THE FAMILY IS HIDING A 2 YEAR OLD, THEY TOO SHOULD COME FORWARD.
AND EVERY EFFORT SHOULD BE MADE TO FIND THE FATHER'S PARENTS -- GET THEIR NAMES, PEOPLE -- FIND THEM....
TO VERIFY / VALIDATE THAT THEIR SON ACTUALLY DIED IN A CAR ACCIDENT LIKE CASEY CLAIMS. AND FOR OTHER REASONS - SEE # 3
2. I saw that she had 2 phones according to Casey on the Just Release Tape Recordings on the Nancy Grace Show. She even told her brother that she bought one of them at the AT&T Store.
To my recollection, just recently, Telephone Companies have been given IMMUNITY from prosecution under the Homeland Security Act -- and one of those BIG COMPANIES just happens to be -- you guessed it -- AT & T !!!
I WOULD PRAY THAT THE FBI AND ANY OTHER INVESTIGATIVE AGENCY CAN FINE-TOOTH COMB THROUGH CASEY'S PHONE RECORDS ON BOTH HER "BLACK BERRY" AND HER OTHER MISSING PHONE UNDER THIS "PATRIOT ACT" PROVISION.
After All, If we can treat innocent civilians like they are sheep with no rights and listen without impunity to their phone calls about frivolous things, most SURELY we can do a REAL JOB of Going Through Casey's Phone Records with a FINE-TOOTH COMB -- COURTESY OF THE PATRIOT ACT. AND MAKE CONTACT WITH EVERY SINGLE PHONE NUMBER ON THOSE PHONE BILLS FROM BOTH PHONES AND TRACE THE IDENTITIES OF THE CALLERS OR HER SO-CALLED "FRIENDS" - AND WHO THEY ARE.
Especially Since Casey has claimed multiple times that the Babysitter would "text" her and then sometimes call her.
(AND YES, LYING TO POLICE, THE PUBLIC, YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS AND WITHHOLDING TIME-SENSITIVE INFORMATION REGARDING THE PHYSICAL WHEREABOUTS OF YOUR
2 YEAR OLD LITTLE GIRL IS AN ** ACT OF TERRORISM ** AND THIS SHOULD APPLY WELL HERE.)
3. Could anyone be a suspect from the Missing Father's Side - AWOL - of the Family ??
4. Since I have a daughter like Casey about the same age, I can tell you that WHOMEVER watches or babysits my daughter -- my MOTHER has their name, phone number, driver's license, photos of them, their license plate #s, addresses, etc.
HOW COME THE GRANDMOTHER IS UNABLE TO PROVIDE ANY OF THE BABYSITTER'S INFORMATION TO POLICE ??
THAT SEEMS REALLY IR-RESPONSIBILE WHEN YOU REALLY LOOK AT IT AND THINK ABOUT IT.
THE GRANDMOTHER IS JUST AS GUILTY.
SHE IS JUST AS RESPONSIBLE.
IF SHE LET HER DAUGHTER AND GRAND-DAUGHTER COME INTO HER HOME AND LIVE UNDER HER ROOF,
****** WHERE WAS HER RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK ON WHO CASEY WAS ALLOWING TO BABYSIT HER GRAND-DAUGHTER? ********
ESPECIALLY SINCE THE GRANDMOTHER FREELY ADMITTED IN EARLY INTERVIEWS ON TV THAT HER DAUGHTER HAS LIED IN THE PAST BEFORE TO HER AND HAS NOT ALWAYS TOLD THE TRUTH.
WELL IF YOU KNOW YOU DAUGHTER IS A LIAR, WOULDN'T YOU AUTOMATICALLY AS A MOTHER USE YOUR "MOTHER'S INTUITION" -- OR AS SOME CALL IT, YOUR "MAMA'S INSTINCT" AND THEN ASK FOR INFORMATION ABOUT WHO YOU ARE LETTING YOUR DAUGHTER LEAVE YOUR GRANDDAUGHTER WITH AND WHO IS WATCHING HER -- IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY, LIKE SAY YOUR DAUGHTER GETS IN A CAR-CRASH AND IS UNABLE TO TALK OR DIES, WOULDN'T YOU AS A MOTHER WANT TO KNOW THAT BASIC INFORMATION?
I KNOW -- MY MOTHER DOES AND I FREELY GIVE IT TO HER AND MAKE SURE SHE KNOWS WHO TO CONTACT JUST IN CASE SOMETHING EVER DID HAPPEN TO ME ON THE WAY TO WORK OR BACK HOME - JUST IN CASE MY MOTHER NEEDS TO GET A HOLD OF MY BABYSITTER.
WHERE WAS THIS GRAND-MOTHER'S MOTHERLY INSTINCT TO *** ASK *** AND *** GET *** THIS INFORMATION, KNOWING ESPECIALLY THAT HER DAUGHTER HAS LIED TO HER BEFORE LIKE SHE SO FREELY ADMITS ON EARLY INTERVIEWS ???
SIGN ME,
PRAYING FOR CAYLEE AND IF SHE DOES COME HOME, MAKE SURE SHE DOES NOT GO BACK TO THAT ENVIRONMENT.

Cindy Anthony said on Larry King that the father has never been a part of Caylee's life, and not even named on the birth certificate. She said that per a mutual agreement between Casey and the father, that he didn't even need to pay child support. And, get this, the only mention of the father is that he died in a car crash sometime last year in the Carolinas. I think that Casey didn't know who the father of her baby was. I also think that at some point she got pressured by her family to seek child support, and that's when she came up with the story about him dying "somewhere in the Carolinas." There is no aspect of this girl's life that can be verified. She is liar from start to finish.
It appears to me that both Cindy Anthony and Lee Anthony are rapidly coming to the same conclusions about Casey.

First of all, the father of Caylee may not even know he's the father. That may be why he's not in the picture. Secondly, I really feel the lack of emotion, that I've seen throughout this, of her mother (Casey), is a direct indication that the mother was directly involved with whatever happened to Caylee. She is obviously a liar and all of the evidence (even though circumstantial at the moment) point to Casey. Cindy (the grandmother) seems to be in denial but this is not uncommon for relatives of the accused to stand by the side and live in a mystical world until the end. We all know Caylee is not alive. Now, it's just finding the concrete evidence and not just circumstantial evidence that needs to be found in convicting the killer. So many times in these cases it takes so long for things to come to the surface. It's sad. I really feel for no one else but that little girl. The innocent one.

after the time line of all events have been checked out and trailed and after all the forensic evidence has been done, I believe this Monster who lived among us will be charged with first degree murder!!!

I saw "grandma" Cindy Anthony on Larry King along with Jose Baez again tonight. When Larry King asked Cindy Anthony about the 911 calls Cindy Anthony says, we've already heard these tapes, I was saying anything I had to say to get someone from the sheriff's office to help me. She also made another stupid remark about how she's sick of the media and the portrayal of Casey as an uncaring murderer and how she wants to keep the focus on finding Caylee. Frankly this grandmother has become a media whore who for whatever reason sees this as a time for her to gain her 15 minutes of fame. If she's so sick of the media and their portrayal of Casey then why the hell doesn't she stay off tv. She seems to think the general public is only hearing the media pundits but not listening to the very words her and her pathetic family are speaking to form our opinion of her and her sick family. I'm a grandmother and if I were in this woman's shoes I'd probably tear every hair out of my daughter's head one by one until she told me where my grandbabies were at. But then again, I got lucky, my daughter's not a sociopath that wouldn't know the truth if it kicked her in the arse. Other than the daycare center and the parents no one takes care of my grandchildren but me. I made it a point of meeting the children's daycare providers and their physicians. I also involve myself in their lives including taking them to their doctors appointments if the parents can't get off work. I do this not to be a buttinski grandma but because I believe it does take a village to raise a child and because I love the girls and their parents. This grandma and her daughter are hiding something. Unfortunately for Caylee it seems protecting Casey is more important than finding Caylee. This just makes my blood boil!!!!!! I can't remember which video clip it was but I saw a video of Cindy and George Anthony speaking to the media after leaving either court or the sheriff's office and when Cindy Anthony started on one of her bitter tirades George tried to get her to shutup and leave and frankly her treatment of her husband was disrespectful. She pretty much told him to shutup that she wasn't going to stop bashing the media and she'd say what the hell she wanted to. Imagine, if she treats her husband like this, particularly in public, what type of person she really much be. Unfortunately I think Caylee is dead, either at her mom's hands or the grandparents. I pray it isn't so and if I'm wrong as Cindy Anthony says we all are, I'll gladly eat crow and personally deliver a formal apology to her and her family.

did you know that on the website, Paper Glue Etc, there is a paragraph that Cindy Anthony wrote on myspace talking about Caylee was missing and the date of her entry was July, 3rd. So Grandma knew even before that 911 call she made on July, 15th. You can pull it up, http://paperglueetc.wordpress.com/2008/07/27/my-space-cindy-anthony/ Someone had pulled it up long before Cindy deleted it off of my space. The grandmother mood's at the time of her entry, was "distraught". She starts her entry, "she came into my life unexpectedly as she has left me". Strange family and I am surprised that Nancy Grace or Larry King has not pulled it up, and then read it in front of the gm and put her on the spot. They need to do drug testing on this crazy Casey. There is no doubt that she is on drugs in addition to being a psychopath. She took her mom credit card and spent 45k on it. My credit card company would have called me to question the unusual amount of charges are taking place. My credit card was stolen at work one particular day and the person used the card to purchased gas and spent money at a wal mart outside of my juridiction of residence. They called me and said look to see if I had my credit card and I discovered that it was missing and they cancelled the card. They are on the ball. The thief was caught and it was a student on the blue chip program. The program allows disadvantaged youth to gain work experience and pay them. The car she had where she purchased gas, was stolen, too. Was not my vehicle. Just can't figure out why the credit card company did not see the red flag.

I think that Cindy Anthony knows all of the facts and is for some reason protecting her daughter. If it was my grandchild, my reaction to all of this would be complete hysteria. She is way to calm and so is Caylee's mother. As for grandpa, he was a sheriff's deputy in Ohio until 1989. I knew him and he was a really nice guy. I am not sure if he knows anything at this point, but I would be really surprised if he is in on any of it.

The only possible reason Casey has for keeping her mouth shut, is because she killed little Caylee. She is an evil, lying person, and is only interested in herself. In all of the phone interviews, she never even mentions her daughter's name. There is no doubt in my mind, that this story will have a very unhappy ending. I hope they come up with enough evidence to keep her in jail. One more thing, rotting pizza does not smell like a dead body.

I think the Grandmother is enjoying her 15-minutes of fame. She is a glory-hog and envisions herself as some big wheeler-dealer who is calling for news conferences, and making big waves in a little pond. But she is shallow and utterly disgusting. Her demeanor is so transparent and one can easily see the body language that gives her away. She is a sham and liar, as is her piece of dirt daughter. They are in cahoots on this, as is the brother, most likely. Possibly the only innocent, besides Caylee herself, is the grandfather... and I'm not putting any money on his innocence. What a family of losers. Caylee, God bless her, hopefully is in a safe place or in Heaven. Her fate would be far worse to be reared by the likes of those idiots. And what is with these people saying Casey "may agree" to be interviewed by the FBI??? When did the FBI become so wimpy? It was always my impression that if the FBI so desired they questioned you, and, by God, you answered.... period! Who's running this "show"???

I have also been following this sad case and am praying that little Caylee is found alive. But, sadly, I do not think that will be the case.
This mother (is that even an appropriate word to describe Casey?) is a self-centered person who does not seem to care at all about Caylee. Even if we buy the supposed scenario that Caylee is kidnapped by the Babysitter, Casey shows no concern at all about Caylee or what might be happening to her...so, that leaves me to think that Casey already knows where Caylee is - most likely she killed her, either accidently or otherwise.
In regard to the grandparents..my feeling is that they are so blinded that they can't see through Casey's lies or another thought is that maybe they do, but want to make Casey trust them so that she will tell them more information??

So, I heard reports that the forensics could have come back as early as the day before yesterday. Investigators met with Cindy and George for quite sometime as well. CSI shows up at the Anthony house yesterday with George and they grab evidence and leave. Suddenly, Carlos Padilla gives an unscheduled press conference yesterday in which he pretty much says nothing new at all. It seems the main thing to come out of that conference was that they stressed that Casey was stonewalling the investigation, but that the Anthony family was being cooperative (really?). And then Cindy Anthony is completely mum yesterday for the first time since the investigation started.
I have a feeling that something pretty significant came back with those lab results.
