"It's believed that in order to pull off the perfect crime, everything must be exact. Planed so precise that every scenario has all ready been thought of. This just is not true. Chaotic, random, sporadic…These are the methods used in the perfect crime…" [Sic throughout]
The preceding is part of an entry posted on a MySpace.com blog allegedly belonging to 18-year-old Josh Spearman. Spearman is a freshman at Georgia Gwinnett College in Lawrenceville being held at the Walton County Jail. "yesterday is the tomorrow you were waiting for today" is actually a carl jung quote. The rest of the junk he put on there is various other quotes from famous individuals rolled into his own canvas.
It's unfortunate whenever a young kid goes over the edge and kills his parents, and I sympathize with the family of the Victims, and wish there would have been more noticeable flags to suggest his state of mind.
If I had to suggest a reason or motive for what happened, I'd say it was due to an "accumulation of social and domestic stressors that triggered a release of pent of rage and anxiety and resulted in the act of murder".

If I had to suggest a motive, he did it for self gratification and to satisfy a deep-seeded curiousity of what it would feel like to actually take a human life. He is intelligent enough to kill two birds with one stone, so to speak, satisfy his curiousity and eliminate those that stood in his way of being financially set, free of scrutiny and authority, and paving his own way to the life he felt he deserved and expected to enjoy.

Josh was a nice person. I met him in elementry school. Everyone always teased him and he was not the most popular. His step dad worked at our school. I think he did it because he never really belonged. Although he had everything "Money" could buy he did not have true love. The shame is i really liked him.
