Texas Man Sodomizes Stepson to Avenge Daughter's Rape

Of all the case I have ever covered - and there have been some very peculiar ones - I have to say this one is something entirely unique.

On January 2, 2008, an 18-year-old man from Fort Worth, Texas, was arrested and charged with suspicion of aggravated sexual assault. According to police, the teen's stepfather reported him after he caught him sexually assaulting his 8-year-old daughter. During a subsequent examination at the hospital doctors discovered the girl had been sodomized.

"When she went to the hospital, that was when it was determined it was sexual assault," Sgt. Cheryl Johnson, supervisor of the Fort Worth Police Department's sex crimes unit, said in an interview with dallasnews.com.

The stepfather, 32, warned his wife not to help her son get out of jail, however the following day she posted his bond. Later that day, when the teen called to get a ride home, his stepfather answered the phone and told him he would be right over to pick him up. This perhaps should have been an instant red flag to the young man, but he agreed anyway and waited for his stepfather.

Upon picking the teen up from the county jail, the stepfather allegedly drove him to an abandoned house in the 2700 block of Canberra Court. Once there, he allegedly drug the teen inside the house and beat him with a baseball bat.  Afterwards, he decided to give his stepson a taste of his own medicine and used a metal tool to violently sodomize him. 

Once his taste for revenge was satisfied the man drove away, leaving his stepson behind. The teen eventually made his way to a pay phone and notified police of the incident. According to police, they took his statement and conducted a search of the abandoned home, at which time they found evidence that corroborated his story.

On January 11, the stepfather was charged with aggravated sexual assault. The following day he was released from bail after posting a $17,500 bond.

In an effort to protect the young girl's identity, none of the parties in this case have been publicly identified. According to police records, the stepfather has a prior criminal record, which includes arrests for possession of marijuana and assault.

"This is a very unique case, but we have a criminal justice system in place, and no one can take the law into their own hands," Johnson said.

the boy deserved what his stepfather did to him. if i were the father of the assaulted girl i would do more than what he did to his stepson. call it cruel and unjust, but for a mother like me, nothing will be more painful than knowing that your child has been sexually assaulted at a very young age.
