Meet Pamela, The Newest Rescue at Villalobos
Over the course of Pit Bulls and Parolees, we’ve witnessed Tia Torres and her amazing team at Villalobos Rescue Center help and rehabilitate hundreds of dogs. We all have our favorite pit bulls from the show, but there’s something about this beautiful pit bull-border collie mix named Pamela that tugs our heartstrings.
Once tied up and neglected, two-year-old Pamela managed to break free of her confines and make her way to an abandoned house, according the Villalobos Facebook page. There, she gave birth to 8 puppies on a pile of trash, alone and with a rope digging two inches deep into her neck. The Villalobos team was able to get Pamela and her puppies to a vet for proper medical attention. One puppy didn’t make it, but Pamela and her remaining pups are recovering nicely and “getting fatter by the minute,” according to Villalobos. And despite everything she went through, Pamela is one of the sweetest dogs Tia’s team has worked with in a while.
Helping all these dogs takes work, time and A LOT of kibble.
