Slow Motion Owl Brings Doom and Terror
10/31/2011
I love owls. They are nocturnal, totally silent and utterly deadly and as such, they are the perfect symbol of Halloween. I also love watching wildlife in slow motion. Slow motion reveals the amazingly strange and wonderful adaptations that animals have for survival.
In this slow motion video of an owl on the attack, you can't help but feel the impending doom and terror that a mouse, rabbit or skunk (yes, lacking a strong sense of smell, owls are one fo the few predators that regularly feed on skunks) must feel in its final moment of life.
Love Owls? Check out this great owl content from Animal Planet:

Adopt a barn, great horned, great gray, or snowy owl with the National Wildlife Federation.

THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL VIDEOS THAT I HAVE SEEN FOR QUITE SOME TIME!
IF I WERE A MOUSE OR SOME OTHER KIND OF RODENT, IT WOULD BE A GREAT PRIVILEGE TO ACCEPT MY DEMISE BY SUCH A MAGNIFICENT CREATURE!.
