Lions Steal Camera and Make Film
05/26/2011
Wildlife cinematographer Roger de la Harpe was in for a surprise when a lioness decided to steal his camera and shoot some footage of her own. The video shows first one then two lionesses who appear shortly after de la Harpe deposited his camera alongside a road.
Curiousity must have gotten the cat because after a few seconds of investigation, the first lioness grabs the camera in her mouth and heads down the trail with it. The resulting footage isn't going to win any awards, but it's fun to watch nonetheless.
It's not everyday to get to see a film made by a curious big cat!

@Roger de la Harpe - If you don't want people sharing your video, don't put it on youtube and enable embedding.

I've seen other occasions with 'homemade movies' recorded by polar bears, elephants and many more. Whether they know they are filming anything is another matter!
