Save the Frogs Day

Today is Save the Frogs Day!  Sadly, frogs need all the help we can give them.  They and other amphibians are on the decline worldwide and the latest research is showing that it's a complex situation resulting from multiple factors including habitat destruction, invasive species, climate change, pollution and a fungus.

In many places, large numbers of frogs are being born with bizarre deformities like the one pictured here.

Fortunately, even small actions taken by regular people can make a difference for frogs and other amphibians.  In this video clip I explain some of the threats to frogs to Martha Stewart and ways that you can help.
