Two-Headed Cow Born in Georgia
01/10/2011
On January 2nd, a cow gave birth to a calf with two heads in the eastern European country Georgia. Apparently, the calf's mother has refused to let it nurse, which is not an uncommon response when an animal senses its offspring has something seriously wrong with it. Despite that, the calf has been feeding from a bottle with both of its heads. Unfortunately, chances of its survival to adulthood are not good, but possible with lots of human care.
See examples of other multiple-headed animals on Animal Planet's Weird, True and Freaky video page.
VIDEO: Watch video of the little two-headed cow.

Outrageous human obsession with this tragic deformity is the only motivation for this animal being kept alive for the CIRCUS ACT and crate that it will live out it's dreadful life.
The expression 'human care' should be edited out of this article.

This is sad, obviously they want it alive so they can make money out of that poor thing.

This calf reminds me of a Brahmin, a two-headed cow which can be found at Fallout series (video game).

They should just put the poor thing out of it's misery. Keeping the calf alive is inhumane.

seriously, theres a reason why mother cows won't let this little guy eat...they know something is wrong with him. people really shouldnt f**k with mother nature, and let nature take its course.

Its from the Alkaloids in the cow feed. Alkaloids are Nitrogen Rich organic compounds known to the state of California to cause birth defect or other reproductive harm.

Ah yes, why would the mother cow care if she has 4 utters?

Humane Euthenasia would be the kindest thing, but that is doubtful as it wouldnt make any money for anyone, like the rest of its kind, the poor creature was only born to line someones pocket, be it for meat, milk etc.,

Who decides who should live or die. Dispite the crazy look of the cow I believe as humans we have the ability/time/experience to nuture something then we should. I don't believe that this animal will be a circus act I believe someone will love it. Glass half full

Wouldn't be cost effective to euthanize the old fashioned way - it'd take two bullets.

This "two headed calf" is an extreme example of bovine conjoined twins. The calves are not necessarily miserable. If they are well taken care of by humans they might be able to have a happy, albeit strange, life.

Do they share a stomach? I am curious if both sides need to eat?

I wonder if the deformity was from nature or caused by some type of poison or chemical?

That is interesting how the mom will not let it nurse. Kinda sad but that is nature.
