30-Million-Year-Old Virgin

Meet an animal that has been reproducing asexually by "virgin birth" for 30 million years: the rotifer. That's odd all by itself, but to me, it's amazing to think that life exists on such a tiny scale right around us. If life on Earth can be so small, who knows how many other planets out there are harboring living creatures that we just don't have the ability to see?

these are rare to find and scientists are doing great effort to collect these.

Its amazing really. This animal would in theory, never become extinct. No more "if you were the last man on earth"...
