Posted by: annie | 03/30/2010 at 01:07 AM
lol, I love about 5 seconds in when they stop fighting, look down at the trampoline and practically hear them think 'wait wtf?'.
Posted by: Sarah | 03/31/2010 at 03:18 AM
foxes! light them on fire!

I think it's obvious that they aren't actually trying to use the trampoline for the bouncing because a single bounce will have no effect. it's still funny though. maybe the static electricity produced by the material of the trampoline is interesting them? he appears to investigate the trampoline after each bounce

Hahahaha the intent of this video is hilarious, I love it. However, what these guys are doing when they bounce like that is a natural predatory tactic. They feel the slight give of the "ground" under their paws and in nature, that's a dead giveaway of an animals burrowed den. When the one jumps up and then lands its no coincidence that he lands with both of his front paws, he's punching into the ground, hoping to break in and find a tasty snack

This is just like humans. The boy fox, easily distracted by the trampoline, goes in his own world. The girl fox was like, "uh...hello???" and goes and interrupts. Haha.

I'd like to mention that fox in plural form is not "foxes"... it's still fox. It's like moose. " HEY! Look at all the mooses!".. yeah... NO..

Glad folks are enjoying this post! Thanks for commenting.
@Janna - Actually, the accepted plural form of fox is "foxes" although "fox" a secondary plural listing in Merriam-Webster. http://mw4.m-w.com/dictionary/fox
@priceless - Who knows how old the actual video is? I posted it here back in December. It's still fun to watch though, right?
@David - You are correct that the foxes are displaying their natural pouncing behavior. But I'm pretty certain that they are doing it in the context of play and having fun. Play is, after all, what mammals do to practice the skills they'll need for survival.

I'm not completely agree that people use trampolines with animals I know that its funny but sometimes they get hurt.

There must be someone under the trampoline messing with them. Man those things can jump high! They look like big puppies pouncing around LOL!
