Every so often, two animals of very different species form an unlikely bond.  No one can say what's going on for sure when these odd pairings happen.  For me, they're an amazing reminder that animals really are more than just mindless, instinct-driven things.  They think, make choices and feel.  They truly are individuals.  They might not think and feel the same way that humans do, but watch this video about the bond between a stray dog and a young orangutan and you can't deny that there's something deeper than basic survival instinct going on.
