Hounds Hang Ten In San Diego [VIDEO]

Canines, owners, and dog-lovers alike hit up the coastal city of San Diego this past Saturday for some healthy competition at the seventh annual Loews Coronado Bay Resort Surf Dog Competition.
Dogs competed amongst other dogs within their size category and were judged based on their skills and confidence out in the surf. First place in the small dog category went to noneother than our friend Abbie - the extreme sports sporting dog [check her amazing video here] and first place for the large dog category went to Ricochet, a Golden Retriever, and ASPCA Dog of the Year.
Fourteen brave pooches rode a wave together, setting a new Guinness World Record. Proceeds from the competion benefitted the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

Ahh, I wish I could go see this! I love watching dog’s surf, it amazes me. I spent three hours one day watching Tillman videos on YouTube so I can teach my pup but its harder than it looks. He skateboards too and has his own Tillman’s Treats that my dogs love. Hopefully someday I can make it to California and see these amazing dogs in action!
