A Man, Zebra and Parrot Walk Into a Bar...

Zebra and parrot in a car in Iowa

Do you have a license for that zebra?

An intoxicated man who was pulled over by police officers in Iowa earlier this week, was toting along two rather unexpected passengers - a parrot riding shotgun and a real live zebra hanging out in the back seat. Seriously. This is not trailer for another Hangover movie — it actually happened in the parking lot of a bar in Iowa.

After scratching their heads in bewilderment, police officers arrested Jerald Reiter following a breathalyzer test that confirmed he was, in fact, intoxicated.

No Underaged Zebras Allowed

As for the Zebra and parrott, named Izzy and Kiwi, Reiter's girlfriend claims that they are treated in the same manner as children and enjoy going on car rides. They even bring them along when they go out to eat, as was the case when Reiter was arrested. The bar is known for allowing animals inside, but I guess the owner draws the line at zebras.

Reiter certainly has taken wildlife endangerment to a whole new level...don't you think?
