Incident Confirms Why Washing Store-bought Produce is Always a Good Idea

Overpriced asparagus, apple avalanches and creepy people in sweaty workout wear are all things you might expect to see in the produce aisle of your local grocery store, but a roly-poly black bear cub cavorting about in the cabbage? Wha?! As you can see in the video below, this little black bear cub is believed to have wandered away from his mama and found himself in the produce department of a local Ketchikan, Alaska grocery store.

You can only imagine the shock and awe that raced up and down the aisles at Tatsudas grocery store when this bold little bear cub apparently walked right through the automatic doors, and hopped up on the refrigerated vegetable compartment.

One brave customer eventually grabbed the cub, and assisted police in bringing it back outside. According to reports, the bear cub's mother was nowhere to be seen. The Anchorage Daily News reports that the baby bear hasn't been seen back in the area as of Monday ( he was likely horrified by the high prices  -- $4.99 for Carrots? :)
