HONK! Noisy Patrol Geese Hold Down Fort at Overcrowded Brazil Prison
08/12/2011
An overcrowded prison in northeastern Brazil has added some low-tech feathered security to their facility to prevent unwanted escapes: two noisy geese.
Sobral prison warden Wellington Picanco told the G1 news website that the geese make a lot of noise when they sense “strange movements," and that geese roaming the prison grounds also will help alert guards to the outbreak of violence among rival gangs at the overcrowded facility.
The prison was built to hold 153 inmates. It currently holds 255.
No word on how the new feathered security guards are managing to hold down the fort.

I hope those geese have AFLAC insurance in case anything goes wrong.
LOL!

Geese are actually very intelligent. They are also territorial so it is not surprising that they act as good guards.
