Video Provides Rare Glimpse of Thailand's Tigers, Elephants and More
Tuesday, January 03, 2012
By using camera traps, conservationists can get a rare glimpse into actual wildlife behavior. And this video is the perfect example. The footage was released by the Wildlife Conservation Society and hails from the wilds of Thailand's Western Forest Complex. Home to some 200 tigers, the 7,000 square miles of deciduous forest is the best remaining habitat for Asian elephants, leopards, Asian black bears, and gaur.

Amazing footage. It really is incredible how diverse Thailand's Western Forest Complex is given the variety of these amazing animals. Hats off to all of the people that are helping these endangered animals.

Prevent unnecessary wildlife deaths from human trash - please sign the petition asking Yoplait (General Mills) to change their yogurt packaging to stop animal entrapment. http://www.change.org/petitions/yoplait-re-design-their-packaging-to-stop-killing-wildlife

Thailand's rich wildlife is truly a sight to behold, I just wish there would be better enforcement of the laws which protects these. Elephant ivory trading has always been rampant in the black markets.

Few decades ago, you can see these animals roam in the wilds of Thailand. Today, we rarely see them such as this. Most of these animals are now in captivity to protect them from poachers.
